Likes
- We have some rare sports facilities like Futsal and Kho Kho Ground.
- The ground is set on fire during events and fests and our ground is indeed multi purpose.
- Infrastructure is overall quite good as many renovations were made recently.
Dislikes
- There's no good canteen inside the campus and therefore we often have to go out for meals or snacks.
Course Curriculum Overview
The reason why I chose law was Law to me is a course where students can express themselves. Internship after every semester means learning the art of court room right from the first year. Exams are good and of moderate level so one has to study hard to score good.
Placement Experience
Students of our college gets placements easily. A lot of companies and the best is ITC and other FMCG group too are a part of our college placements. 4-6 lakhs is what graudates are paid and I think as per the college and the kind of fees we pay, it's quite reasonable the paycut I mean.
Fees and Financial Aid
University Law College of ours is among the best that can be said in Orissa after NLUO. However, the fees isn't challenging at all as it charges just 7400 a year. I believe I am fortunate that I will be a lawyer in just 50k total.
Campus Life
Law Kriti the annual fest is our fest and apart from that we have various fests. College is good and has one small canteen too. Overall strength of the college is less and therefore we get more space everywhere. Our library has a seating capacity of 500 students and so in short we all can sit in the college library at once.
Hostel Facilities
Our rooms are big and have good space for three to live. Along with attach washrooms, we also have private or commin washrooms too. There are two mess as vegetarian students have a different mess and for students to have a three seater room along with food is just 30k a year.
Admission
I got confirmed addmission in private universities of Orissa but because they charge so heavily, I decided to stay to a government college as it is good and also fees is such that my parents will never be burdened.
Faculty
As many as 40 faculties are there and a total of 300 students in law including all 5 years. So around 1 faculty for around 10-12 student and that's a fair or rather good ratio to get the required attention.
Night Life
Many cafes and Satsang Vihar and Bal Udhyan and Swami Vivekananda Memorial are some sites. Tea stalls and tea cafes are the ones where most students are found. Buka Tea Stall and Hamdard Pizza corner are two of the most famous food outlets near our campus.
