Course Curriculum Overview

My course is CSE (data science) it is a specialized course in the field of CSE.My motivation to choose this course is it has the core subjects that are definitely required for a CSE graduate and also the emerging technology related subjects like ML,DS,AI. Course curriculum is well structured to maintain a decent pace to cover syllabus.Every semester duration is 5 months, first mid exam is a conducted after 2 months and next mid exam after next 2 months and semester examination is conducted at the 5th month.

Class Size: 65Course Fees: INR 110000 per year

Placement Experience

I am currently in 3rd year my placement training has just started.So,I had no opportunity till now to attend any campus drive campus drive generally starts from 3rd year 2nd semester. Highest package offers is 44lpa from amazon and average package is 5lpa. Around 60% of students get placement.My plans are to secure a job in campus drive and gain some experience in software field

Fees and Financial Aid

The year wise fee is 110000, We get a reimbursement from state government of 35000 rupees if the candidate is of caste obc(bc-a,bc-b,bc-c,bc-c).If the candidate is from sc/st, he/she has full college fee reimbursement .Other fees include jntuh university fee and semester examination fee need to be paid explicitly.So,for obc caste(bc subcaste) students have to pay a fee around 75000 to 80000.For OC caste students no reimbursement is alloted and if any of the students parent is government working employee they also are not eligible for government reimbursement

Campus Life

A technical fest is done for every semester and a college annual fest is done in June of every year.College library has abundant no.of books available for every students also very well organised according to branch and based on their field of subject.Every classroom is equiped with digital boards and a black board. This college doesn't conduct any sports activites often but in recent months they have conducted a inter cricket tournament and are planning to continue it for every 6 months.

Admission

I joined this college through a examination conducted by state government of telangana called EAMCET.Eamcet is like a entry examination to engineering colleges in telangana.I have secured a rank around 40000. The college which I found good accordance to my rank is 40000.I did considered other colleges but they lack a lot of facilities that this college provide.This college offers a seperate classes about emerging technologies aprt from the regular academic curriculum.Training and placement cell of the college also tirelessly works to bring companies for interships and job opportunities.

Faculty

College professors are very well experienced the student to teacher ratio is 30:1.They aren't any faculty I liked most all are great in their respective fields.Examination pattern is as follows: Firstly a mid exam is conducted after completion of half of syllabus for 30 marks,and 10 marks for viva and assignment overall(40marks) Another mid exam is conducted after completion of other half of syllabus following same pattern. Lab external and internal exams are conducted for overall 100marks(40 for internal+60 for external) At end of semester final semester examination is conducted for 60 marks. Marking scheme is as follows: Average of 2 mid exam marks+semester exam marks calculated to overall marks of 100 Grades are awarded according to the marks secured by student,this college follows a gpa grading method.student is provided with a semester memo after passing all subjects in that semester.

Night Life

College campus is small but has all facilities like open gym,cricket nets,basketball court,outdoor volleyball and badminton courts.A vast playing area.College has a cafeteria, a tea point ,a juice point,a shawarma point, And a college maintained cafe and mess.campus timings are from 9:00am to 4:30pm.Cpllege has a well maintained garden area at centre of college around the department blocks where most students are found

Life of an graduating person

Likes

Teaching was very good as compared to other colleges and faculty members have 8+ years and upto 20+years teaching experience and totally digital teaching method through smart board with PDFs and PPT's and the infrastructure was very good.
College is totally 7 blocks with a spacious ground and greenery around the college sand there is also campus hostel and bus facility available and learning facilities also very good with well furnished labs .
The curriculum is also better for professional and personal development and the placements services are very supportive for career advancement

Dislikes

The things I disliked are the timings of gates closing in morning session and there is no chance of going outside in the lunch hour .
Sometimes faculty doesn't explain some topics they will skip the topics to sit simply in the classroom with teaching
The security guards are very strict and they directly take id cards of students if they misbehave anything .

Placement Experience:

3-2 semester students will become eligible for campus placements and the companies visited are tech Mahindra, cognizant ,cap gemini, zentek, tcs, etc some of the top most companies also visited our college for placements and so many students have been placed in the companies with a good package there is almost 78% of students are getting placements in this college

NIAT - where learning and growing is fun

Likes

The teaching style and focus on practicals
More emphasis is given on coding and attending hackathons
Mentors and their constant support In building projects

Dislikes

The strict rules and pressure is real and can be frustrating sometimes
The infrastructure can be a bit better, like the building and space for games
There's very less extra curricular activities

Placement Experience:

From 4th sem itself students are eligible for placements. Although students get access to paid internships from their 1st year itself, just they need some effort. But as NIAT is yet new and no batch has passed out yet so we still don't have the exact placement percentage rate. But as we are getting paid internships from 1st year itself so it's very evident that placement would also be good

Building Skills Beyond the Classroom

Likes

The coding culture is the best thing about NIAT. There are very frequent coding competitions that makes students actually learn things and improve their skills.
The faculty members are very knowledgable and supportive. They are also very friendly and helps everyone when in doubt.
The curriculum is totally updated and new. The use of latest technology and AI is very much focused on. Also provide internships from 1st year itself

Dislikes

The strict rules are a bit too much. The pressure is real and becomes difficult to deal with soetimes
There are hardly any cultural activities or programs. All focus is given on coding and tech related programs.
Its still new and no batch has graduated yet so its kind of difficult to record the placement rate

Placement Experience:

No batch has graduated yet so there's no record of placement data yet. But more than 200 students got internships. Also the unique point of NIAT is students gets internships from their 1st year itself. NIAT has connection in the industry also its unique teaching style, this allows 1st year students to get internships. Although there is no pass out batch yet, still many people got placed in good companies.

Remembering College Valuble Insights Feels so memorable being a final year student.

Likes

As i joined into marri laxman reddy institute ,The campus is in a village bakcground it feels so nice to live over their .We do have several sports commisions in our college.
Our college provides sports facility and The campus was so hugee ,The infrastructure is very useful(i am talking about digital teaching lab equipments and all)
The teachers were so friendly with the students and the college has a perfect strcture category for every department .

Dislikes

The teachers were so nice but the college and teachers doesnt support student to enhace the student personal growth.The teachers were take the class by learning the ppt without any conceptutal representing
The infrastructure is good but thier is no maintainance in the college,Campus feels huge but it degradss interms of maintainance and enhance the campus intemrs of neatness .it feels so that after we return back from the holidays
Most importantly,the canteen food is worst.My friend face an incident that he got a dead frog in the manchurian rice.And the food is most coastly maintains low quality

Course Curriculum Overview:

My college course curriculum is outdated .As im studying in computer science and engineering,i wpuld love to study about technological aspects and grow as a software engineering but in the course curriculam they teach my about mechanical workshops,There were no practical experience it jsut understanding the concept with theoritical part . i would love lo code but my college wastes entire time by helping with electricals,meachanical basics. i dont think is it really necessary for me understand in all the feilds they think that student should perform in all the fields as im in computer science and engineering student ,They should teach me more about coding and computer ,how it industries works and how these technology enhacning ,the arenot even explore about all these sectos they only teaching me about fundametals of all the subjects which is never useful for my studies . as i am in final year of btech i thought learning and deepdiving into computerscience and engineering subjects is more greater than learning all sector fundamentals,The area they need to improve is removing some of the oudated syllabus from their ciricullum and enhcing with the pratical experience not to teach only theoritical part. they have to teach all the areas with realtime examples. The timings of exams is very good .we do have 2 mid exams and one semester final exams for each sem and the subjects feels meduim level difficulty

Likes

Things I liked they won't charge if they put any event,annual day, they will only charge for farewell that's common l thing in every college they don't show any biased over girl or boy , they won't restrict if boy and girls sits together
They kept more events in 1st year we used to attend them

Dislikes

They stopped keeping events after 2nd year
Lecturers are particular to there subjects like they taught CN subject for 2nd year the same lecture is teaching other subject in next semester
Security watchmens are so strict than clg management

Placement Experience:

Only 4-1 students are eligible for campus placements Name of companies are infosys, concentrix, foundever, teleperfomance, Sutherland,uts etc in that only few members got opportunity to join in that companies. Highest package is 3-4lakhs All the companies which were came to our clg placements are based on call center types only infosys is IT side remaining all companies came us to take for the roles bpo industry voice based roles and non voice based roles My plans after completing the degree to search for the job

Yeah our clg faculty is so Supportive and knowledgeable

Our clg has better infrastructure like labs and library

The major one is placement opportunities should be improved
And also adminsrative process is slow sometimes

Placement Experience:

Campus placements start from final year. A few core companies and bulk hiring companies visit with average packages , overall placement percentage is average . So I plan to build more skills and purse better opportunities after graduation

For the campus placement firstly we need 75% attendance and good behaviour and no remarks on us and we should pay 24000 separately for development of skills ,and next interview is up to us only. We have many mou like sap ,ibm ,inttelipath also

The faculty of the college is quite good
The college is in the middle of city which helps a lot
There is compulsion for 75℅ attendance and the college is open gate

Dislikes

Infrastructure is very poor.. Buildings and classrooms, benches, and computers used are very old
No sports and other extra-curricular activites and no provision for canteen
Campus is very boring.. Toilets are not clean.. The admin staff is very rude

Placement Experience:

Placement cell is least active.. Few good companies like Infosys, amazon, TCS etc visited but the average package is of 1-2 LPA and only 25-30% of students whose all exams are cleared can sit in the placement cell. The highest package is of 8LPA. My plan is to move abroad for higher studies.. The students after completion of 6th sem can sit in placement cell

Nice college but lot of improvements are required

The faculties are highly knowledgeable, understandable and are helpful in studies and they even mentor us in some important aspects.
Course curriculum is perfectly designed to prepare for any competitive exams that a student may be appearing.
There is not much academic pressure on students. They have ample of time to prepare for any competitive exams.

Dislikes

Management by the college and the faculties are not good
There are not much companies visiting campus. Majority of them are either for non-technical roles or are mass recruiters.
Campus crowd is not good for growth for any serious student.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements after their 6th semester. The companies start visiting in 7th and 8th semesters. The companies are not much good and are mostly service based. So the placement statistics are also not much good. The highest placement last year was 10 lpa and the median placement was around 4.1 lpa. The placements were starting from 2.5 lpa. The better option for students is to apply for off-campus placements or start preparing for competitive exams

The equipment in laboratory was not proper.
The faculty were not well trained and experienced.
Not taking us to industrial visits and sessions.

Placement Experience:

The training criteria for placements for students starts from third year.The top companies like IBM, Amazon, Microsoft, Accenture has visited our campus.The highest package offered was 20 lpa and average package offered is 3-4 lpa.50 percentage of the students will get placed in third year if not they'll get placed in 4 year.My plan after graduation is being a software engineer in a high profile company.

I choose this college over other colleges because the infrastructure and environment whichh more likely to me . The main aspect to choose is the faculty and placements in this college. I have applied in bhojreddyy womens colllege of engineering ,Mallareddy college of engineering and some more colleges near to my home and also based on placements in that college. I didn't get chance in that college because of my EAPCET . The admission fee was 10000 after the counseling un eapcet. To enter our college the eligibility is the students who completed thier Intermediate and qualified in EAPCET. Who are not qualified can also enter through mangement ....Read More

I applied for other colleges as well like top 25 of them but couldn't make it there due to my rank in EAMCET For sure there are better colleges elsewhere but this is decent in look wise We can take admission through EAPCET counselling & management quota which is 70 & 30 % respectively Cutoff of this can be caste wise But the cutoff for this college is constantly getting tough As one of the student received 46 lakh package...Read More

I applied to amrita university in coimbatore and also attempted the entrance exam. But I could not join because of their fee structure and was also very distant from my current location.I have also written jee mains and advanced exams, but I got seats very long from my location.As a girl student, my parents feared my safety and could not join those colleges.
