Remarks

The college's suits them who are working along with their studies. It is not very demanding in general but it also depends upon person to person.one may feel bored if they are only concentrated on their college life. Not a happening college life here.

Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

The curriculum is not very satisfying. There are many loop holes in the curriculum. Moreover, lectures doesn't have proper timing and get canceled very frequently that too at very last moment. But it is suitable only if you are doing this course along with a job in hand.

Internships Opportunities

No, college doesn't provide internship formally but in whataspp group, teachers keep sending about various job and internship postings available in the city. After one gets any internship or job, then it's up to them how they go about it as department doesn't interfere in any possible manner.

Placement Experience

1

Again, no formal placements happen in the department. One have to keep looking for jobs by themselves or apply to the jobs professors send in the groups. More over teachers are always open to guide the students about how to go about things in life.

College Events

2

The department have events like 1.Orientation program for freshers. 2. Iftar party during Ramsaan. 3. Khojagiri festival 4. Kavita sammelan 5. Farewell party Apart from all these, students also tend to have informal fests and gatherings.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The department have fee structure of almost 25000 INR for open category students per semester. While for SC/ST category students it is 95 INR for the whole semester. The fees is not very expensive for MA course as compared to other colleges.

Fees and Financial Aid

No, I haven't got any scholarships or loan facility that was offered from the college. Neither I have heard of anyone else getting it. The department have hostel for out station students but not more than 2 students get hostel from the department in one academic session.

Campus Life

1

There are no official extra curricular activities happen in the college. There are name sake labs with old MAC desktops that's doesn't even work. As mentioned, it is suitable only if one is having a job other than studies.

Hostel Facilities

2

The infrastructure is very poor. The department even feel scarcity of proper rooms to have lectures. There are only 2 proper classrooms, one of which have an AC. Other than that, there is no proper infrastructure available in the department for students.

Alumni/Alumna

Most of the seniors were helpful. It again depends upon person to person. Some of the seniors didn't show up due to their jobs while some are still looking for jobs even after completion of the course.

Exam Structure

There is semester system where MA course is divided into 4 semesters and each semester have 4-5 subjects except for last semester, which has dissertation and 2 subjects. Exams usually take place in November December and May June.

Admission

The admission process include an entrance exam and a personal interview. Entrance exam have creative questions like story building and general knowledge questions to test journalism qualities in the candidate.

Faculty

2.5

Faculty is decent but again due to mismanagement, the lectures tends to cancel Alot which leads to incompetence to complete the syllabus. The teachers are very open minded and understanding. They would understand if the student is having a job with the studies.

No entrance is conducted. I was admitted in this college on the basis of my percentage in the CBSE exam. So I didn't have to prepare for any sort of entrance exam. I scored a decent of 78% and could manage to get admission in the college.
