Remarks

No postives comments but the rules like uniform is the only thing i feel bad because girls feel uncomfartable in saree to wear to college. And boys too feel the same and in the case of shaving for boys included.

Course Curriculum Overview

Its very well preplanned scheduled syllabal system.its all about the basic knowledge about our course will be frst taught in the first year and the go deep about the subject and its all well understandable only.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, they provide an internship as compulsary just because to gain more knowledge in our field and to get experience about what we should do.My internship was the best part of my college life.I gain more knowledge about my field and i worked in laboratories and known about the things and it is very helpful in my studies also.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Feasible and reasonable- The fee structure is the best thing in our college when compare to our surrounded colleges. Its normal and suitable for all type of families and mainly it is reasonable about the fee structure.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarships are providing for the low castes or poor people and the education loan facility is also available for the students wellfare purpose. The college is very helpful in this kind of scholarship and providing loan facilities etc.

Campus Life

They are providing good coaching in extra curricular activites like sports,Music, dance etc.Labs are available for the students study purpose and also for extra curricular activities like all other classes.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Hostel infrastructures are good and providing clean and best food contracts when compare to other colleges.I would rate 7 out of 10 for hostel facilities and infrastructure. Not at all bad but they are providing a good service.

External Expense: Rs.4000 - Rs.7000

girls to boys ratio is 1:1 is we consider all three branches with some courses with more male while other having for female.more or less the ratio is near 1:1
the most important thing for you is there is close to zero discrimination for you , whether you want to join any club or perform anything you are equivalent to students with others bachelor degree
octagon and library are the two things which are good as library is considered the biggest library among all nit's while octagon having 800 computers for students.NSO ground is also well maintained with the beautiful mig fighter jet to take cool phot

Dislikes

for first years hostel are well maintained if compared with others but don't expect much from hostel atlast this is a government college.in first year 3 to 4 person sharing room are there which was build to carry 2 person.
Quant and entrepreneur thing is not there as you might expect by seeing the nirf 9 ranking but it is not zero .they are growing clubs like profNITT and Sigma are young and they could do better
curfew timing for girls are 9 or 9:30 pm i guess be it any year. for boys ,only freshers have curfew with timing 9:30 pm.other than that any student can't step outside the college after 10 pm without the sign out form.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course as maths is the mother of all science and quite related to other fields so it opens a lot of door for me like mba ,mtech ,phd or any other things. this course is specifically designed for becoming teachers so keep that in mind before taking this course as they are not flexible in changing curriculum or adding something for the sake of students as of now. also you will be having more working days compared to other courses with 80 percent mandatory attendance.after first sem you will get 1 week holiday and after 2nd sem you will get 50.days holiday and after first year you can expect 20 days holiday for winters and 50 days holiday for summers. you will get a lot of time to study for exams. before ct 1 you can expect 2 months and then atleast a month for ct 2 and endsems. cons are that you don't have the right to choose minor or electives like btech students.you have to compulsory study all three science .i.e. maths , physics, chemistry.

HIMT COLLEGE REVIEW

Likes

The faculties are very well experienced and there are captains who stay in the campus itself, so if there’s something we need they will be available all the time
The facilitieslike labs, ship in campus, DB tank facilities etc are top notch
The classrooms are fully air conditioned. There’s smart board. Overall everything is really good and also neat and clean

Dislikes

Galley food can improve a little and canteen is comparatively small for such a big campus
They are not conducting intra- college events and inter-college events is very less

Placement Experience:

Placements are really good in HIMT. I got placed in 1st year itself in MOLMI. All faculties try their best to prepare us for the placements and it shows in the placement interview also. Usually companies come for placements from 2nd year but there are some companies who want to take girl cadets 1st year itself. MOLMI, MOLTA etc came to our college for placements. After completion of the course, company will call for induction and accordingly they will call for joining the ship. For finishing the cadet ship , we have finish 12 months of sea time. After that a lot courses has to be done for appearing in 2 nd mates exam.
