In the 1st year for boys ... accomodation in hostel in not present you have to wait for 1 year
If you are from outside from Srinagar you will cry for you local food

Internships Opportunities

Intership is available after final year exam for 1 year where you can advance you skill and knowledge...and get a real world application... You can learn communication with the patients ... How to address them about history taking examination everything.

Fees and Financial Aid

In the ist year you will have to pay 34000 in 2nd year 11000 somthing and prefinal 9 thousand and in the final in btw 10000 to 15000 around and after final year...you intership start and stipend you got is 12000 something every month.

Campus Life

Infrastructure is good not best ...fests and not celebrated and books are available in library.. Sport facility is good ...you can enjoy ...in boys hostel you have a big large ground where you can play any kinda sport.

You got one bed one almirah one table ...in the hostel and I a room of hostel ..3 students are accomodate Mess is good ... In the ist year ...boys hostel.. accomodation are not present you have to wait for one year till accomodation available.

This college is best in northern region of india and best faculty and facilities... You have to crack neet UG exam for this college ...and cutoff for this is always high for all categories and that's why you have to have to study hard .

Faculty

Faculty and students ratio is nice ... Whenever you are in problem... faculty is always ready to get us help...they help in studyand moral habits ... In every department there are best faculty and some are not that good ... Exam are often ... actually you have to study every day cause viva in practicals can happen anytime ...so be prepared..and exam are done 4 times in a year ...2 terminals in 1st and 2nd year and 1 terminal in prefimal and final and end up with send up and University exams.

Night Life

In girl hostel night life is restricted and there have to come hostel before 8 and boys hostel are free to go not restrictions ...and no gym available...canteen is there.... There are very beautiful places around Srinagar where you can visit and enjoy

ASCOMS - Boon or Bane ?

Course Curriculum Overview:

Yes it's pretty relevant they follow the new CBME issued by the NMC and it's in line with the PG syallabus and entrance exams as well . What they could change though is the teaching methods and how to be more interactive with students

All u need to know about ASCOMS Jammu

Course Curriculum Overview:

I Chose MBBS by my choice The more the practical and clinicals u perform the better u understand things rather than books . Real life experience is important I think what should be improved is that focus should be more on things that are more important for being a doctor. More towards clinical aspects more towards practical performance and less on things needed to cram Timing for exam of 80 mark is 3 hrs and is quite good enough time. 20 marks are of mcqs so total 100 mark.

Admission:

You just have to appear for the neet examination. And once you get selected you ll be able get an admission in the college. The syllabus for neet xam is class 11 and 12. One should be able to score above 500 out of 720.

Very nice college for medical studies

Remarks:

Postive - our college provides the best faculty and educators. The best learning experience and learning facility is jammu is from our college Negative - there is less patient load than govt hospital and sporting facilities are also less.

For getting a seat in any medical institute in India, you have to clear the national eligibility entrance examination(neet ug). Government medical college Srinagar is the top medical college in Jammu and Kashmir ut. To obtain admission to government college Srinagar you need a very good score in neet ug. There are a total of 180 seats in gmc srinagar, out of which 50% I.E 90 seats are reserved for girls out of which 63 are reserved for categories like st, sc,obc, rba, pwd, jkpm, cdp, etc. Out of 90 seats for boys, 62 seats are reserved for different categories like st, sc, obc, pwd,jkpm,cdp, etc and the remaining seats are for open merit students.
