Remarks

Management is student friendly. Students are given full opportunity to do everything related to studies sports and cultural activities. Strict rules are there in university like minimum 75% attendance mandatory

Course Curriculum Overview

Best course curriculum, the university management update its syllabus on early basis as desired by the corporate companies, Exam structure is also student friendly, students will get there answers sheets at the time of result so that they can self evaluate there sheet also

Placement Experience

Placement wise Chandigarh University is best, even the best, students are offered with lot of placement offers, highest package is 33 Lakh in Chandigarh University and I think more than 700 companies visited university for placement, internships programs are also good, even students got chance to work in Disney world USA for internships

College Events

Lot of events are celebrated in university on day to day basis like tech fest, cultural fest, ncc fest, star nights, Tashan Punjab is official partner of chandigarh university for live cultural programs

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee is also nominal, less than lovely and chitkara but more than local colleges like for MBA fee is 80,000/sem for engineering its also 80,000/sem. But facility wise and placement wise it's best, if u got selected in good company u will earn full fee u spend in just 1 year

Lot of scholarships are there Meritorious scholarships:Students that score more than 80% are eligible under this scholarship. Defense scholarship :wards of Defence ppl are eligible under this scholarship. Teachers ward scholarshi:Wards of teachers are eligible. Single girl child scholarship

Campus Life

Extracurricular activities of chandigarh university is best, Students can participate in no number of activities whether it is sports technology or any other activity, students are given chance to make there own model and if model is good chandigarh University help students to register there model as patent, students are motivated to participate in science olympiad, International Universities programs

Alumni/Alumna

A big yes, Seniors are very helpful, even chandigarh University has alumni department where students can approach there seniors selected in top companies of the world and guide there juniors to study in such a way that will help in grabbing good placement

Admission

Deposit the fee, eligibility criteria is 50%, Admission staff is very helpful, overall best university with Best placement, even university has won limica book of record for highest placement, admission is direct, no entrance, but if ur score is good in mat or cat u will get scholarship

Best Faculty, it's a student friendly university, students are Supreme here, Faculty members are very helpful, they are ever ready for your help even after college hours. Qualification wise also they are well qualified and experienced holders

Education Quality was good along with Teachinng
Infrastructure is decent according to punjab location
Management is helpful and good, you can reach them for help

Dislikes

Attendence i perdonally didn't like, but it is mandatory
little bit parking issue inside the campus
overall college is good, you can go for it but not for placements

Placement Experience:

Rest everything is good with college, only i have issue with placement, since there are very poor or only core sales job in punjab, college is able to provide that only. You have to work your ass off if you want to get good placement, provided their education quality is good

The infrastructure is great with state of the art labs and equipment
The library is really nice place to study
Lots of hangout spots in and around campus

Dislikes

Less opportunities for core branches as less core companies visit campus
75 percent attendance policy for classes
Very high fees compared to other colleges

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

Big campus and beautiful garden and environment
Aqi was soo good because plants and tree was so much

Dislikes

Mess food was bad but it doesn't taste that bad
If we Complaint about anything college mostly ignore it

From 7th sem students become eligible for campus placements and tata or Infosys companies visited and about 60 to 70 percent students were placed and my plans after getting the degree is to opt for higher studies doing mtech from iit

The best thing is that it is very affordable and enhance your knowledge at various aspects.
The second thing is there are extra hostel charges.
And conducts various conferences and workshops for enhancing students knowledge

Dislikes

The location of the college is not that much good.
You have to travel half an hour to reach market.
The hostel rules disallow you for high voltage electricals

Good infrastructure, campus and faculty. Have to improve placements and industrial visits.

Likes

The campus is very green and clean. Infrastructure is good and one can feel fresh air here in campus
The faculty is excellent, almost all of the professors and assistant professors have a degree from renowned institutes. So they know their subject and field very well.
Hostels are good and affordable. Although the hostels itself are old, services are good and you get a nice room for the price/rent

Dislikes

The crowd isn't good. Always demotivated to do anything productive regarding studies. Some people are just here for time-pass
Very less site and outdoor visits. For practical experience, they should conduct industrial visits, but that happens rarely
Placements are really Dry and there is decline in company visits for placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

An In-Depth Look at Campus Life and opportunities at Chandigarh University

Likes

I think, the campus is being liked by everyone whether its staff member or a student, because the university consists of many blocks or departments and that too are named as A1, A2, A3, A4 & B1, B2, B3, B4, B5 & C1, C2, C3 & D1,D2,D3,D4,D5,D6,D7,D8
Parks and all are made for the relaxation purpose of the student
Car Parkings are available separately for the students and staff and that also inside the campus which is ambitious.

Dislikes

The semester fees and other expenses is relatively higher as compared to other institutions
Some students find the university’s rule such as strict attendance policies and accurate timings for the classes, quite stringent
Mostly 2 common times, one is in morning nearby 8.50 AM to 9.50 AM and in evening nearby 3.50 PM to 5.00 PM, the rush is like horses and buffaloes! There is so much over crowded & most of the crowd occurs by the Autos, but no one do anything for that

Course Curriculum Overview:

As i have opted the course B.Pharmacy! I rate the course as optimal, neither too bad nor too good, its medium! Now comes on teaching method, some teachers are really well and good and few are those who does not teaches but only writing writing, thats it, they will not explain at all! And one thing they should change is that All Courses except B.Pharmacy in Chandigarh University have the criteria to pass the student even below the 40% only or the half of the highest number scored by the topper in the class, and for Bpharmacy its minimum requirement to pass the exam is 50%, Oh My God! This needs to be changed, Now every year, in Bpharmacy, the overall 80% students are getting Compartments (Back/Fail) in the subjects, but the University is not understanding it all. So this should be changed as earlier!

The sports and the various facilities that they provide for relaxing
The Library that remains open till 10-11 at night for those who wish to study till late
Great mentors and very helpful teachers who are always willing to help

The hectic schedule and curriculum that the students have to follow.
The lack of certain facilities that would help the students improve thoer personalities
Too much strictness and restrictions with everything that someone wishes to do

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum

Placement for student from various companies came to our collage

Dislikes

Infrastructure is too old and washroom also
Bus service is not available for the boys

Placement Experience:

The most famous companies like wipro and accenture recruit students from our college and get a package of 2-3 lakhs per year. I saw many students get recruited and get a better package and also live their happy work life

Chandigarh University - My experience from fees to social life

I gave cucet but can't find the college that have cse in their colleges. That time my father was recently posted in chandigarh as chandigarh university was very close to me and the transport is also easy and I don't have to pay the hostel fees and I can be a day scholar also so I choosed this college as it provide a good network of peoples. The admission process was to simple ,I just applied for their entrance online exam cucet and booked a slot gave online test of 100 mcq from the selected domain and after that I got scholarship and to confirm my seat I have to pay 10000 part of my semester fees (that 10000 was from my semester fees) and after doing online formalities and upload document.
