Chandigarh University - GOOD OR BAD

The course pattern is very old. I am in 4th year of my graduation and they are teaching basic progmming that should be taught to a 1st year student. No new subjects are introduced and for extra curricular subjects they teach the subjects which are not in domain of the course. for ex : we had Quantum physics and electrical engineering as subjects in our 3rd and 4th year consequently. these subject do not have any relation with the computer science course which i am persuing. many irrelevent subject are introduced just to fill the credit points.

The placement of CU is good as compared to other universities. nearly 90% of students get placed in there end year of graduation. Many mass recruiters come to CU and take hundreds of student with them, this is the main reason of the good result of placement process. the location of college is near mohali which is also a good opportunity for students as many student get placed in the IT sector of mohali.

I am a 4th year student of chandigarh University. I joined the university in 2021. It has been 4 year for me that is why i consider myself as an experienced person to write this review. I secured 92/100 in my CUET exam which gave me 100% scholership in this university, So my tution fee was reduced to zero rupee/year. If a person scores more than 80 in CUET, Chandigarh University will provide 50% scholership. This will reduce the financial burden for the student. Talking of my bachmates nearly everyone had scored above 80 in CUET , they all got 50% scholership. The main key point to note is that this scholership gets discontinued if your CGPA falls below 7.5 .

every year new fest is organized in CU. many celebs come during fest this creates a good opportunity for the talented students to showcase there skills in front of many audience. many sports activity is also organized in CU like cricket. football, badminton, kabaddi etc. CU has also won MAKA trophy in 2025

i choose CU over other college because i got 100% scholership and i failed in my JEE examination, and i could not get any government college. this is the main reason why i joined chandigarh university. The marketing technique of cu is also very attractive this arose my inner feeling to join the university so i joined it. i also listen many good things about the university on social media which gave me a reason to join this university.

The faculty of CU is the main reason why one should not take CU. I am saying this because more than 80% of teachers in CU are very young they don't have any particular or specialized domain, many teachers don't know the basic concept of a particular subject still they are teaching it. The teacher to student ratio of CU is very bad on teacher teaches almost 10-12 sections which means 1:600. There is overpopulation of student in CU more than 15 thousand students are in 1st year, this result in lack of opportunity for a particular person to grow his/her personality.

I had to give CUET exam for getting admission in this college. you can also get admission without giving the exam, But with the help of exam on can get scholership which can be useful in reducing the tution fee of the college. the process of CUET is very simple go on college website fill the form and your exam slot will be booked. the exam is in online mode.

Many of the dayscholers are statying in nearby village which is KHARAR. in kharar there are many cafe's and dhabas that provide good meals to student. there is also tiifin service in order to enjoy home like food. all the food delivery applications like swiggy, zomato and blinkit are accessible in KHARAR.
