Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course is relevant in today's world but some changes are necessary with regards to the latest technologies trends which make students industry-ready for better placement opportunities. The curriculum is in collaboration with that of USAR so it is good but requires some changes. The curriculum also provides some minor courses along with the major course which ca be handy for the students.

Internships Opportunities

4

Colllege has vatious tie ups with reputable tech companies it provides with a lot of internship opportunities to students. Companies like wilro, infosys, etc offer their internship course where industrial experts tecah students and make them ready for intenrships. For freshers it is necessary to build projects as to get internship in any of the company. Students can also apply for internship on their own in any of the tech giants for internship.

Placement Experience

4

The students are offered the campus placement opportunities generally in the sixth /seventh semester. Number lf companies visit for placements like wipro, infosys, tcs, ibm, cognizant, etc. The average package ranges from 4.5 lakh to 5 lakh per annum.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure of JIMS GREATER NOIDA is very simple. It is a bit high in first year and then goes constant for the next three years for btech in any available branches. The first year fees is 148500 INR which reduces to 138500 INR for the rest three years. The first year fees includes tuition fees of 111000 INR, university fee of 20000 INR, a security fee of 10000 INR and activities and other fee of about 7500 INR. Overall it is quite affordable. The college also provides loan as well as scholarship facilities to the needy. For more details regarding loan and scholarship you can contact the college administration

Campus Life

4

The campus life in JiIMS GREATER NOIDA is generally good as there are number of events happening at regular intervals during the year. These events include sports events, literature, dance, singing, coding, painting events, etc. Since it is affiliated to ip university hence it has the annual function called ANUGOONJ held every year in February. Since JIMS is a recognized group so it has its own fest which is organized by any branch of Jims anually. There are numerous clubs, socities like navras the cultural society of Jims, catalyst gen Ai the technical society of AI department of our college. These societies organize competitions as well as workshops for overall development of students' profile. The classrooms are well air conditioned and has the smart board facility to teach.

Admission

The admission process is very simple. It is done on the basis of your jee rank for btech course. The admission is also done on merit basis based on your class 12 marks in pcm as well as overall. After the jee exam one needs to apply for the separate counselling for ggsipu admissions and then according to the cutoff and one's rank the admission is done. For merit based admission one needs to contact the college administration. I chose this college as it is near to my place plus it does not impose the uniform on students which is a big relief. It has nice connectivity via roads as well as metro. It also has nice places to explore as a group around it like malls , cinema halls, etc .

Faculty

4

The faculty members here are though good but lack in some aspects. Some are more strict while some are cool and student friendly as well. Whereas some faculty members lack the faculty-student interaction which makes the classes quite boring sometimes. Generally there are two mid term examinations followed by the end term examination. it is easy to pass the examinations as the faculty teaches mainly what comes in the exams and the assignment are helpful in passing the exams at least. Hence very less students fail and majority passes the exams. They also organize ptm which is mental pressure atleast for a college going student. Overall the faculies are good but somethings need to be changed.

Night Life

3

Since i am a day scholar so i am not aware much about the night life around the college. But as of my knowledge the hostel timings are strict for both boys and girls especially girls because greater noida is still a budding area so it is still lonely at nights. The hostel gates gets closed by evenign 7:00 pm in evening. The hangout places nearby are certain malls like venice mall, gaur city centre, it has certain clubs to party for sure nearby, etc . Jagat farm is a famour market area where one can buy daily use items. As i said gr. Noida is still a budding area so it is still quiet at night sometimes hence it is not safe specially for girls to rome at night even in groups forget about going alone.

Placement Experience:

Placements are both on and off-campus based. Placements are usually common for both IT and Non-IT students, Technical or Non-Technical. Students become eligible, in their final years to pursue internships or acquire placements. Usually students from Computer Science and Engineering avail more placement opportunities. The Medical Department have more options of Employability. Companies like HCL, Byju's, Extramarks, IBM and other local companies like Stambh Power Systems, Pieinfocomm and others have arrived. But the placement ratio needs to be increased. Off-Campus Placements are more successful. Highest Package can be 8lpa CTC to average package be 2.5lpa CTC, with profiles of assistance and associates. Atleast 30% students get placed on average. My plans are based on Learning in different ways.
