I chose an arts course here because of their way of teaching in real- life based examples. And guest lectures. The curriculam blends theory and practical guidance, sometimes with workshops for better understanding. The unit tests are rigorous, the prelims ensure consistent prep. Mostly paper for 11th happens in the morning and for 12th in the afternoon.

The college doesn't have any internships for junior college students but they have for degree college. And of my friends in degree college got an internship in his 3 year with stipend of 20000/-. In mass media.

There are no placement cells for junior college, but yes they provide future guidance to chose degree courses and explains about each options through experts present. My plans after the course is to pursue BA psycho HONS and have a diploma in UI and UX. I am more inclined towards graphic designing

The detailed fee structure is as followed. admission fee and tution fee altogether was - 5535/- for the first year. The sports and maintenance fee was 1000 EVS trip fee 1000 Psychology fee was 2835 My friend in science stream paid 25000 for the Electronics course.

SK somaiya junior college has its own fest called 'Harmony' It usuallt happens December every year. on average of 3-4 days. I was a part of the cultural team as an HOD. The library located on the ground floor has academic books only which are easily accessible to students. The classrooms have blackboards, with a few classrooms having projectors as well. The college offers a wide range of sports and extracurricular such as taekwondo, badminton, judo, kickboxing, wall-climbing, swimming and many more. The trainer help you go professional. There are a few student-run clubs, such as EVS club, sports club and etc.

I applied to KJ and Rizvi as well and got confirmation from Rizvi, but after comparing it with SK Somaiya in aspects such as sports and curriculam, SK Somaiya was the best fit for me. I did get rejected in KJ Somaiya because of my marks in 10th, KJ is known to have the highest cut-offs. The admission process is centralised and is done on the basis of merit and seat available. The eligibility depends on each years cut offs and requirements.

The faculty to student ratio is decent. One of the faculty members I liked was Raju sir. He works for Principal Ma'am and is the sweetest person there. He behaves just like a friend and helps in need. The person I didn't like was the logic teacher named Geeta ma'am, just cuz of her nature of teaching was rude, and she wasn't that friendly to talk to about stuff. The exam system is pretty normal here. - in 11th, you have 2 units, mid-term, ABTs and finals. - in 12th you have 1 unit, 1 pre-lims. and ABT. The course is state board.

My groups ultimate hangout spot was the podium behind Maggi House which was hidden and not many people sat there. It was peaceful and quite. College ha smany DJ nights and concerts happening in the second half of the year that usually take place at night, creating a great environment. The college has gym facilities for all sports students. the membership is of 1000 for 3 months. The gym is well equipped and has a personal trainer. There are total of 5 cafetarias including maggi house which serve average food at high prices. The college is opened at 5 in the morning ofr elders around the area to come in and have a walk. The campus includes 4 hostels with surprisingly good rooms and facilities with mess availabe. The locality around campus is one of the safest place, there are many food stalls outside the campus gate, the dosa is a must try.
