Likes

May experience at Chandigarh university has been enriching overall. One of the biggest positives is the modern infrastructure - smart classrooms, hostels, well equipped labs, 24/7 wifi.
The campus is clean, green and well maintained.
campus life is vibrant with fests, clubs, sports events happening regularly.

Dislikes

On the downside, certain non-core faculty and administrative services can be slow.
Also some rules can fell a bit restrictive, especially in hostels
There are so much crowd on the college peak time

I would rate the course curriculum at chandigarh university as relevant and comprehensive, especially for students in fields like computer science engineering. The curriculum includes industry-relevant subjects such as artificial intelligence, Machine learning and cybersecurity.

Placement Experience

Placements at chandigarh university are quite strong, with a dedicated placement cell that works year-round to ensure stundents get opportunities. Student become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester onwards.

Fees and Financial Aid

chandigarh university's bachelor of engineering in computer science & engineering has a structured fee system. The tuition fee is approximately Rs. 1,20,000 per semester. Additional charges include an examination fee of Rs. 2,500 per semester and a one time refundable security deposit of Rs. 2,000. This brings the total tuition cost for the four- year program to around Rs. 9,64,000. University offers various scolarships to support student financially: 1. CUCET Scolarship: Based on performance in the chandigarh university common entrance test (CUCET), student can receive scolarships ranging from 25% to 100% of the semester fee. 2. Merit-Based Scolarship: Students achieving high academic performance in the 12th grade examinations or JEE main course may be eligible for tuition fee waivers upto 50%. Additionally, students maintaining a CGPA of 9.0 or above are eligible for a 10% scolarship if they are not availing of any other scolarship. The fee structure is subject to periodic revisions.

Campus Life

My overall experince with campus life was amazing, focusing on social aspects, club involvemetn and the infrastructure provided. Many fests are organized on the weekly basis in the camous. There are many extra cirricular activities we can participate during our campus life as well

Hostel Facilities

Hostel faciltiy is somewhat good, mess food is descent enough, registration process for availing hosel facility is little bit not good but overall its good. Hostels are very far from the cmapus so there is 2 km walk to reach campus from the hostels

Hostel Fee: INR 150000 per year

Admission

When choosing chandigarh university over other colleges I applied to several factors influenced my decision. I also applied to thapar university, PEC Chandigarh. Chandigarh university stood out because of its affordable fee structure compared to Thapar and PEC, while still offering excellent infrastructure, industry connections and strong focus on practical learning

Faculty

The faculty at chandigarh university is a good mix of experienced professors and young, enthusiastic lectures. The faculty-to-student ratio is around 1:20, which allows for fairly personalized attention

Night Life

As such there are no late night activities in college campus like hangout spots, late night walks which make college life somewhat like a jail but it is good for making a desciplined environment around the campus according to me

The infrastructure is great with state of the art labs and equipment
The library is really nice place to study
Lots of hangout spots in and around campus

Dislikes

Less opportunities for core branches as less core companies visit campus
75 percent attendance policy for classes
Very high fees compared to other colleges

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

The Scholarship benefit is good when compared to other universities the fee is also not very huge.The Infrastructure of the campus was vast and there arelots of stall to purchase food items etc
There is a big mall through which You can get necessary items .In every hostel you will have departmental stores
The faculty was highly qualified. The Placements opportunities are also good The average was offered was 5-6 LPA.The Lpu newly Launched Education Revolution is very good for students

Dislikes

The mandatory 75% attendance policy for every subject.If you not maintain you will debar from End term examinations which is not all good
The Roads are not that much good .The roads are made of parking tiles instead of Thar
The distance between hostels and main gates are nearly 1.5 -2 km which not at all good .but there e-rickshaw they charge 15 rupees per person to drop from hostel to main gate

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course cirriculum changes every year by rapid changes happening due to AI The University has also launched a new school called School of AI and emerging technologies.from this every year syllabus changesand exams pattern changes .the difficulty of exams is increasing day by day.

Inside NITJ- Beyond the Brochure

Likes

There are 1 AC Lecture complex()LT with almost a seating capacity of 100-120 students, with smart screens and projector.
NITJ has well maintained 4 Girls hostel and 4-5 boys hostels with proper cleanliness and hostel staff.
They are 7 cafeterias in the Campus, including 3 Nescafe outlets,1 dominos and 3 regular canteens that serve food late night.

Dislikes

Wifi and connection issues in the hostels
Slow response to emails and late approval to applications
The ICE department faculty is quite strict. Tough grading system and administration.

Placement Experience:

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

The environment of the college is so nice, helpful staff, AC labs for CS deptt.
Canteen and water facilities and park in both deptts

Distance of travelling coz for me its too much far
Nothing as of now everything was good enough

- Limited campus opportunities were available, and most students become eligible from the final year. - The average package was around 2-5 LPA. - after my degree my plan is to improve my employability my strengthening my technical skill in my domain

Aqi was soo good because plants and tree was so much

Mess food was bad but it doesn't taste that bad
If we Complaint about anything college mostly ignore it

From 7th sem students become eligible for campus placements and tata or Infosys companies visited and about 60 to 70 percent students were placed and my plans after getting the degree is to opt for higher studies doing mtech from iit

I like the machines that's why I choose the mechanical branch in engineering line. Noida , Gurgoan , Chandigarh , Bengluru and many other areas for improvements in the course curriculum and teaching methods.

Good infrastructure, campus and faculty. Have to improve placements and industrial visits.

Likes

The campus is very green and clean. Infrastructure is good and one can feel fresh air here in campus
The faculty is excellent, almost all of the professors and assistant professors have a degree from renowned institutes. So they know their subject and field very well.
Hostels are good and affordable. Although the hostels itself are old, services are good and you get a nice room for the price/rent

Dislikes

The crowd isn't good. Always demotivated to do anything productive regarding studies. Some people are just here for time-pass
Very less site and outdoor visits. For practical experience, they should conduct industrial visits, but that happens rarely
Placements are really Dry and there is decline in company visits for placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

The sports and the various facilities that they provide for relaxing
The Library that remains open till 10-11 at night for those who wish to study till late
Great mentors and very helpful teachers who are always willing to help

Dislikes

The hectic schedule and curriculum that the students have to follow.
The lack of certain facilities that would help the students improve thoer personalities
Too much strictness and restrictions with everything that someone wishes to do

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum

I applied to multiple colleges like SRM Chennai, VIT vellore, and Lovely Professional University(LPU). I got confirmed admisison from all of them. Chandigarh University - My experience from fees to social life

I gave cucet but can't find the college that have cse in their colleges. That time my father was recently posted in chandigarh as chandigarh university was very close to me and the transport is also easy and I don't have to pay the hostel fees and I can be a day scholar also so I choosed this college as it provide a good network of peoples. The admission process was to simple ,I just applied for their entrance online exam cucet and booked a slot gave online test of 100 mcq from the selected domain and after that I got scholarship and to confirm my seat I have to pay 10000 part of my semester fees (that 10000 was from my semester fees) and after doing online formalities and upload document. I got a call that you can come to university and attend classes. The admission process of too simple so I never taught of choosing other college at that time....Read More
