Remarks

Overall UPES is a awesome college , the infrastructure is good and academics are tough but if you study u would score good . The placements are a lot better than most colleges . The only problem I think is that we have a uniform.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Course Curriculum of UPES is pretty good as IBM itself helped to design our curriculum. Latest courses are added to our curriculum and that's a good thing for us. In a semester the grading is done on the basis of end SEM and mid SEM exam and the internals.mid SEM and internal add up to 50% .

Placement Experience

Placements and job opportunities are awesome , even the average students get placements . Yes our college provides internships . For first year students they have a social internship and for seniors they have industrial internships .

College Events

UPES has a lot of events every week there is a new event. We have events related to hacking , photography , designing and sports . Then we have the welcome and farewell parties. The first year students would also have an induction.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is feasible . For a whole year it's like 3 lacs + hostel expenses For every semester the fees goes around 1.5 lakh . We have to pay the fees for every semester in advance . For the whole engineering it would around 20 lacs including hostel .

Fees and Financial Aid

Students scoring good marks in the exams get scholarships . For the students who come from hilly areas and belong to a tribes are given scholarships . The people who have a good gate score also are eligible for scholarships.

Campus Life

4.5

We have many extracurricular activities , there are student chapters that u can be a part . We have many sports like cricket , football , volleyball , basketball , badminton etc . UPES organises tournaments of every game. Labs are good in UPES there are computer labs and then we have chemistry and many labs.

Alumni/Alumna

The seniors are pretty friendly . There's is no ragging . Senior students are always ready to help you with the academics and they also help u know the place a lot better . You can actually find the college to be a better place .

Admission

First I had to give an entrance exam . The entrance exam was not too difficult like JEE Mains , basic but logical questions were asked . After the results my rank came out . Then I had to go attend the counseling where we could select our desired course.

Faculty

The faculty is good . They have a good knowledge about their respective fields and are always ready to help. We have our doubt clearing classes every week called as tute classes. Students can get seperate doubt clearing sessions also.

A Well-Rounded B.Tech Journey with Good Infrastructure, Supportive Faculty, and Growing Career Opportunities

Likes

Faculty members are generally qualified and approachable, and students can seek help with academics and projects.
students should supplement the university curriculum with industry certifications, coding practice, internships, GitHub projects and real-world development work.
There are cultural events, technical activities, clubs, sports and other extracurricular activities. Hostel students can participate fairly actively in campus events.

Dislikes

The main improvement I'd look for would be more advanced, industry-standard laboratory equipment and greater practical exposure.
I couldn't find a reliable current official university figure for the overall girls-to-boys ratio.
The ratio can also differ substantially between CSE, other engineering branches and the university as a whole.

Placement Experience:

Haridwar University provides regular campus-placement opportunities across IT, core engineering and other sectors. The university reports strong overall placement activity, but programme-wise salary and placement data are limited publicly, so students should ask for CSE-specific statistics before admission.

Holistic Review of MBA at IIM Kashipur

Likes

It's a student run campus which means that important decisions regarding students are taken by the student bodies.
The campus is beautiful and lush. The architecture of buildings are well though of made to keep buildings cool during summers and hot during winters.
The campus is very happening. Several cultural events occur.

Dislikes

As the town Kashipur is not very developed, there is not much of metro-city life or such amenities
The boys to girls ratio for core program is 4:1 and the opposite for the analytics program which makes the class interactions disproportionate, It should be uniform.
You can't order food from online platforms here as the city is remote so one has to resort to the options present on campus which turns out to be pretty limited in number and quality.

Placement Experience:

As soon as the second year starts, companies start coming for placements. These include ICICI bank, Wellsfargo, Genpact, Amazon, TresVista, Havells, TVS, Tech Mahindra etc. The highest package goes around to be 40-50 Lacs while average is around 14-15 Lacs. Almost all get placed while the rest opt-out from the process either for off-campus offers or pursuing higher education.
