Course Curriculum Overview

5

all the subjects are linked with domain. most of the syllabus match from maximum universities. apart from that extra certification courses from coursera, likedin learning are compulsory here. social internship for students from all domain is compulsory. apart from these extra aptitude and soft skills sessions are held for placements. the level of difficulty of question paper remain moderate most of the time. most of the students pass here but few students lag behind in 01-02 paper like maths and DAA.

Placement Experience

4

from 5th sem students bcome eligible for interns and from 7th sem they become eligible for placements. around 750-800 ompanies come here. Microsoft/Google offers the highest package usually. 54.75 LPA was the highest domestic packge offered by palo alto. 1.4cr is the international highest package. around 80% of those who want placements gets placed, rest who dont want placements often go for higher studies. My plan is to get placed from college itself.

Fees and Financial Aid

my annual fee is 2.73 lakhs but due to scholarship, i have to pay 1,36,500 per annum. To maintain the scholarship, a student has to maintain 7.5 CGPA and 75% attendance. Most of my friends were on scholarship but they lost their scholarship because they could not maintain 7.5 cgpa. Getting 7.5 cgpa is not an easy task here.

Campus Life

5

there are lots of clubs and societies at department and university level which are active and conduct seminars, events and workshops. most of the course, fiction, non fiction, wide variety of newspape, journals, magazines are available in the library. classrooms are getting equipped with AC and are quiet spacious. sports culture is very competitive. you can understand its level as MAKA trophy was won by CU this year. most of the seniors are helpful here. they guide the jumiors do's and donts. NSS departments raises volunteers who tecah underprivileged child of the village everyday.

Admission

I applied here becaue the scholarship here made it easy for me to pursue this course. So I didnt apply in any other college because of their high fees. CUCET exams are held online. based on that students are awarded scholarships. Admission process is quiet easy and transparent. There is no cutoff of CUCET exam.

Faculty

4

there are lots of departments and lots of academic blocks ...so difficult to say the overall student to faculty ratio. but in my department(AIT-CSE) its better than expected. (cant guess) Most of the faculty are good and unbiased. I personally dont like 1-2 teacher because of their boring lectures. two mid sem exams, one practical mid sem exam, final theory papers, final practical exam and surprise test of all subjects thrice in a semester.

Night Life

5

gym, cafe , lib are there for all but i am a day scholar so I dont know about these in detail..wherther they are operational overnight or not. No timing for hostels for boys but for campus one has to be in by 6pm. famous hangouts places are fountain, food republic(FR), Pentagon(D6), ---inside the campus outside -- Sukhna lake, elante, VR Mall, Rock garden, Sector 17 market. in locality-- 3B2, EK onkar, CP67

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
