Great exposure, Learning and Placements at CU- A well rounded experience

I would rate the course curriculum at chandigarh university highly relevant and fairly comprehensive, especially for students persuing computer science with specialization in AIML. The curriculum includes both foundational subjects like data structures and algorithms as well as trending topics like artificial intelligence and machine learning.

Chandigarh university offers a wide range of internship opportunities especially for students in computer science and AIML. The placement cell regularly share openings from reputed companies along with startup and research opportunitues. During my time at CU i got selected in 2 internships:- 1. Bobble Ai- as a software engineer intern 2. Hatchnhack solutions pvt ltd- as a full stack developer intern Both internships were paid and provided me hands on experience in various frontend and backend technologies along with web scraping and automation.

I am a recent graduate in computer science with specialization in artificial intelligence and machine learning. i took admission in CU just because of their excellent placements for the computer science students and what i feel is during my journey they provide i'll not say 100% placements that they guys claimed but yes the placement is really good. the average package is of 7-8 lpa and they offered placements globally like in hyderabad, pune, banglore, noida that are considered as best places to work in IT sector. but in my last year i.e 4th year i have been offered a position of software engineer intern in gurugram and that was off campus so i grabbed that opportunity. and there is one policy of chandigarh university if you opt for off campus placement then you get debarred from the TPP campus placements of chandigarh university and you will not be able to sit in the campus placements of chandigarh university. rest overall the campus placement is good.

i took admission in chandigarh university in 2021 for B.E in computer science with specialization in AIML. The total fees for the 1st semester was 1,05,000, but i received a 50% scholarship so i paid 52,500. The scholarship i received is based on my academic performance( merit based). there are other criteria's also for getting the scholarship like based on the CUCET exam percentage.

My overall campus life experience at chandigarh university was truly memorable and full of learning both academically and socially. The campus is vibrant, diverse and offers plenty of opportunities to grow beyond classroom. In terms of infrastrcuture the campus is well equipped with modern classrooms, high speed Wifi, advanced computer labs and a central library. The hostels are clean and secure though the mess food could be better at times.

Hostels are well maintained and have decent Wifi, laundary and indoor games. The security is strict but necessary. students are allowed out only in the prescribed in-time and permissions are needed for nightouts. there are also other facilities like gym, parlour and library for the students living in hostel.. they can avail the gym facility for free no extra charges are charged from student its included in the hostel fees. apart from that if i talk about meal quality amd menu so sometimes the quality really bad that one cannot be able to eat and sometimes ok. they offer morning breakfast, lunch, snacks and night lunch but there are mess timings that you must follow otherwise after the given time you'll not be able to get the meal.

I applied to few private engineering and government colleges but i have choosen chandigarh university because of its academic curriculum and excellent placements for computer science students. apart from that they also provide various additional benefits like scholarship based on your academic performance in class 12th i.e merit based or also on the basis of CUCET test that they conduct when you applied to their any course for admission.

The faculty to student ratio is decent in chandigarh university especially in technical branches like cse and aiml. Most faculty members are approachable and supportive particularly when it comes to helping students in projects and academics.

The night life is quite lively in a student friendly way. students usually unwind through casual hangouts, nightwalks or group study sessions.. Inside campus facilities like gym, cafeterias usually close by 8-9pm and students are expected to return to the hostels by 9.30 for girls and 10.30 for boys. The reading rooms in hostel stay open longer so many students continue studying or working on projects late into the night.
