Course Curriculum Overview

4

As I was a commerce student in 11-12th, so choosing this course was an obvious choice for me, and getting a degree from a DU college is a big deal. But the course need some modifications like the Subjects(SEC & VAC) should be more course focused, there are many useless SEC VAC options which are ridiculous. Exams are of moderate level, but some numerical based subjects have difficult exams as well

Internships Opportunities

4

The college provides good internship opportunities, there's many private firms which offers internships with incentives and certifications. These companies mostly hires for management and accounts related jobs, but marketing and others internships are also available. There's a Principal internship scheme as well which is offered by principal, which is a college based internship, in Library, administration & accounts department.

Placement Experience

4

Final year students(5th semester) are eligible for the placements, many famous company recruits, like Deloitte, flipkart, amazon and there's many local companies as well. The highest pakage in 2024 was 24LPA. 20-30% students gets the placement as most of the students opt for Higher studies or get into competitive exams. The jobs offered are based on your course.

Fees and Financial Aid

1-The annual fees is paid in the start of the academic year(august) that's around 19000 for my course(bcom hons) , the fees for other courses is around 18000-23000, there is no relaxation for any category in fees 2-The is fees concession for needy students for which they have to apply and go through the interview process, it's based on your academics and your family income

Campus Life

4

1-There's cultural fests in college, annual fest and departmental fests. All of them organised by societies and the assigned facilities. 2- There's a huge library and so many books available for issuing and novels are also available. 3- Classrooms are lights and fans, no AC. 4- Sports like cricket, football, volleyball, basketball and badminton are available in college. 5- So many societies are there for each kind of interest.

Admission

DU intakes admission on the basis of CUET UG exam, and then there's the reservations for all categories, so basically your admission is based on the CUET marks and reservations, and then you get a chance to make a preference list of colleges and courses and then DU allots you a seat based on your preference list and your marks as per category.

Faculty

5

1- The faculties are well qualified. 2- There's probably a equal ratio of the faculty members. 3- They are friendly and always guides you for the right thing. 4- Sometimes they are strict for the attendence. 5-There are only semester exams, no mid-sem exams. 6- In total there are 7 subjects. 7- Class test and assignments are given on regular basis. 8- It's kind of easy to pass the exams if you study well

Night Life

4

There's no hostel facility available in the college but you will find PGs & flats around the college, as it is in rajouri garden,so the area is safe and have all facilities. The connectivity of college is brilliant as it have access of both pink and blue metro lines at a walking distance. MCDONALD'S, burger King, burger singh and Vishal cinema hall are available at a walking distance

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course provides a comprehensive image of finance and management, though after NEP, the curriculum seems a little irrelevent. The exams are conducted twice in a year, 2 sems per year, they conduct mid sem exams as well.

Students of 3rd year are eligible for the same. Mckinsey, BCG, Bain, Blackrock, Meesho etc being the most prestigious recruiters. Highest package varies, but it went around 36 L last year. Avg being around 8 L. I would say most students who apply for placements get placed, however only a few get placed in the top companies. I personally wish to pursue an MBA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Although, people say that B.Com doesn't have a great scope to it, I feel like there are many life lessons that we are taught during our college years. Since the introduction of NEP 2020, there has been a rather great emphasis on practical learning. In our college, we are asked for presentations and group projects to promote learning and communication. The presence of SEC and VAC also helps you develop your soft skills, groom your personality and live a happy and healthy life. Exams are help at the end of every semester. There are a few guides and PYQs with the help of which a student can prepare for these exams. They are relatively easy in my opinion and do not require extreme efforts. Overall, it's a great experience and a great opportunity to learn so many things.

In the context of a fictional scenario, the placement scenario would depend on the specific college within Delhi University. Some colleges have robust placement cells that facilitate campus placements with various companies. The placement scenario can vary, and it's advisable to check with the specific college for accurate and up-to-date information.
