Likes

College faculty are so helpful and understand our problems
Currently temporary campus is small but in some years new campus will come to its work
Faculties are expert in their fields and there is only cse and ece that's why they only focus on these branch

Dislikes

Currently situation of manipur is good but here is curfew after 8 P. M
Placement is pretty average, mostly people placed by Offcampus
Temporary Campus size of iiit manipur is comparatively smaller then other iiit's

Course Curriculum Overview

I am from CSE Core branch, and our curriculum is based on today based industry requirment like AI/ML, Quantum Technology and Cyber security. If you choose ECE there will be one more option VLSI and all of these are good for placement

Class Size: 128Course Fees: INR 300000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Our college has compulsory internship in 4th year 8th semester to be specific. It also has TEXmin internships powered by IIT Dhanbad for those who want to get internship earlier in their college life

Placement Experience

Currently our college provide B.tech M.tech and PHDs to students and placement is pretty average for newly opened IIIT . Median package of CSE is 8.5 lakh and highest package is 40lakh which is pretty good.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees of IIIT Manipur is sligthly more then compare to other IIIT's, but There are many scholarships in IIIT manipur like NSP, Vidyalakxmi, SBI loan/Scholarship, Reliance Scholarship, and every state government scholarship.

Campus Life

My overall experience with campus life at IIIT Manipur has been a mix of academics, close-knit social interactions, and gradual development of infrastructure. Since the institute is relatively small, students tend to form strong bonds, and the campus feels like a close community rather than a crowded college.

Hostel Facilities

In IIIT Manipur, there are 1 girl hostel which have 3 girl occupency and for boys, there are 4 hostel in which 3 hostels have 4 people occupency and one have 2 people occupency hostel condition is pretty good and in boys hostel every wathroom have water heater and washing machine facility.

Hostel Fee: INR 100000 per year

Admission

My rank was 92k and I got this college in my first csab counselling. I choose this because of IIIT tag (governemt) college and also for CSE branch which was the important reasons to choose IIIT Manipur.

Faculty

Our faculty is from all around India and moslty all of them have PHDs from prestige college like IITs and NITs. They are expert in there field. You don't need to worry about faculty how they teach and they are friendly to all of us.

Night Life

The nightlife of IIIT Manipur is Good in hostel but you are not allow to go outside of campus after 8pm because of curfew in Imphal,but you can do any thing inside campus you just need make good relationship with your caretaker and warden.

HONEST REVIEW

Dislikes

Weak infrastructure, around 2 stars and still underdeveloped.
Rude and overly strict faculty behavior.
Very limited fests and extracurricular activities.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is average and mostly theory-based. Core CS subjects are covered, but practical learning, updated content, and flexible electives are limited, so we students must rely on self-study. And the exams are also monthly so you have to work on your own to study.

The worst iiit in entire india

Likes

Culture of manipuri people is good they are helpfull
You can eat chinese north indian food near campus or your hostel
You will not find any difficulty in travelling auto and all facilities are there

Dislikes

Fees is too high and facilities are not even worth 5lacks
Senior staff or faculty are so rude towards student
Fine system in very small things you are fined with minimum 5k to 10k like you are late coming to hostel after 7pm you are fined with 5000 rupees

Placement Experience:

We are juniors so we really dont know about the placements no faculty told how much average what is the highest placement and we himself didnt ask seniors about the placements also in website they mention it is 9 lacks average but we dont the reality inside

IIIT MANIPUR , YOU SHOULD OPT. OR NOT?

Likes

teachers are very co-operative and are very good.
The campus is eco friendly and very clean.
The campus is ragging fee and hostles is also very good.

Dislikes

there are too many restrictions like you are not allowed to go outside after 8 pm.
The library is very small and very much less books are present.
Game equipments are not presents and girls is to boys ration is 1:10

Placement Experience:

Placements are overall good for CSE departments. Average package is 10-12 lpa,and placement percentage is also about 76 % not all placement are campus based some are off campus placement .This is too less as compased to other IIITs .The placement in ece department is about 8-10 lpa which is also very less compared to other IIITs.

harsh reality of nit manipur

Likes

i like the nature and the environment here is very peaceful.
the faculty here is good and undestandable.
the placements here are quiet good compared to other north east colleges.

Dislikes

there should be improvement in the mess as food is not tasty and insufficient to the students.
the infrastructure is not good as expected.
there should be proper drianage system designed as the water gets stationary at once place

Placement Experience:

from the 7th semester students are eligible for campus placement. companies like microsoft , ibm , tcs actively hire students from the college. the highest package is 47 lpa and average package is 7 lpa .

College pros amd cons

Likes

Good interaction with teachers,providing transportation, good environment, good networking, higher earning potential,personal development,promotion opportunity, debelops skills,also provides job securities, extracurricular activities, and academic .

Dislikes

Poor infrastructure , poor lab practice, poor washrooms and procrastination and procrastination,poor lab teachers, taking momey to a grest extent ,Semester end in 4months instead of 6 months, Randomly assigned assignment, and last minute assignment

Course Curriculum Overview:

My decision to choose this course is due the factors such as future career aspirations, passion, parental influence, job opportunities, etc. Our college curriculum prepares the students with benefits to deal with the real world such as a broader sense of community and more opportunities for collaboration. Some suggestions are supporting academic risk, building collaborative relationships, and many other benefits. Exams should be done in such a manner that it provides a good gap Between exams for the students to be mentally and physically stable.

Journey to NIT MANIPUR

Remarks:

It's a nit college so more chance to get placed in any reputed company. You can visit our official Website www.nitmanipur.ac.in to get everything you require. It's placed in a hilly and peaceful area providing good environment for studies. There's food problem a little bit for vegetarians as they focus on non veg more, though they prepare veg foods for vegetarians. Teachers are well learned here. A Good companies visit every year and placement package is also increasing year by year.

Placement Experience:

From 3rd semester according to their grade, students become eligible for campus placements. I have no ideas about companies but in the prospectus, there are about 10 companies including airtel visited. Above 75 percent students getting placements. To be in a multi-level company.

Admission:

the students require to achieve a minimum 50% in PCM stream in their 10+2.Further along with the application form of the college you're supposed to give the JEE Exam and then through counselling you may get the admission in this college.

I got confirmed admission from KIET Ghaziabad, but chose IIIT Manipur mainly for the IIIT tag. Admission was through JEE Main via JoSAA. I couldn’t get better IIITs due to rank. But if i get the choice to choose that again i will choose any private instute over this because of the location limitations and many other things like fees of herer is far more than most of the private institutes and bettr campus life there is more better than in manipur location and the connictivity of here is also difficult....Read More

Student Life at Iiit manipur and college facilities.

This college rank in csab very low and other colleges for same rank are much perfer but in IIIT manipur it gives cse and ece courses for low rank near to 2 lakh in csab. Admission process is very lengthy and so much taking time because it done for over 550 students only in 2 days and also alloting hostel at same time so it too much lengthy and very headache...Read More
