Remarks

One of the best college in Coimbatore. Provides great facilities for students especially science students.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum and exam structure is the perfect thing that is more sutable for the further studies and applicable in the practical section, relavent in the professional are too.The college will act as a great platform for enhancing our technical and management skill. Teachers behave in a very respectable and friendly manner, and we found it very helpful.

Placement Experience

99% of students were placed from our course. Because this course can provide maximum placememnts.Every year almost all students are got internship from our course.Top recruiting companies are The Oberoi, Radisson Blu, Club Mahindra etc.

College Events

There are somany events are conducted in our college including fresher's day, cultural festivals like Onam, Pongal, Pooja celebration, Ganesolsavam etc. There is also some intercollege meets like Festember,Esistentia and also sports meets etc are conducted.

Fee Structure And Facilities

In first year there is tution fee, micellanious fee, extra fees such as uniform fee, association fee, bus fee(optional), all should be nearly 25,000 rupees. For odd semesters the tution fee should be 18,500 and for even semesters it should be 15,500. There should be some festival fee, that should be considerable

Fees and Financial Aid

I didnt opted for any scholarships or any education loans foe my studies. There are many opertunities fo applying ceetain scholar ships during the academic time

Campus Life

3.5

We have an Eco Friday campus and a better atmosphere to be around. Faculties are well experienced and having a friendly nature and they are well equipped with knowledge on practical and theoretical skills which they make us simple and easier to learn. They will always be there to motivate, support and help you. Placements are also satisfactory. Other activities like cultural are carried out each year and college is having a good reputation in cultural activities. This college give a good platform for both studies and extracurricular activities..

Alumni/Alumna

There are some alumini associations that are helpful for students. One of the main purposes of alumni associations is to support a network of former graduates who will, in turn, help to raise the profile of the college.

Admission

I got admission through my father's friend. When I reach the college for joining, I also submit my qualification certificates such as 10th and 12th markstatements during my admission process. The admission should me also on the basis of mark of +2 or previous study

Nit Trichy B.Sc. B.ed. student review

girls to boys ratio is 1:1 is we consider all three branches with some courses with more male while other having for female.more or less the ratio is near 1:1
the most important thing for you is there is close to zero discrimination for you , whether you want to join any club or perform anything you are equivalent to students with others bachelor degree
octagon and library are the two things which are good as library is considered the biggest library among all nit's while octagon having 800 computers for students.NSO ground is also well maintained with the beautiful mig fighter jet to take cool phot

Dislikes

for first years hostel are well maintained if compared with others but don't expect much from hostel atlast this is a government college.in first year 3 to 4 person sharing room are there which was build to carry 2 person.
Quant and entrepreneur thing is not there as you might expect by seeing the nirf 9 ranking but it is not zero .they are growing clubs like profNITT and Sigma are young and they could do better
curfew timing for girls are 9 or 9:30 pm i guess be it any year. for boys ,only freshers have curfew with timing 9:30 pm.other than that any student can't step outside the college after 10 pm without the sign out form.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course as maths is the mother of all science and quite related to other fields so it opens a lot of door for me like mba ,mtech ,phd or any other things. this course is specifically designed for becoming teachers so keep that in mind before taking this course as they are not flexible in changing curriculum or adding something for the sake of students as of now. also you will be having more working days compared to other courses with 80 percent mandatory attendance.after first sem you will get 1 week holiday and after 2nd sem you will get 50.days holiday and after first year you can expect 20 days holiday for winters and 50 days holiday for summers. you will get a lot of time to study for exams. before ct 1 you can expect 2 months and then atleast a month for ct 2 and endsems. cons are that you don't have the right to choose minor or electives like btech students.you have to compulsory study all three science .i.e. maths , physics, chemistry.

HIMT COLLEGE REVIEW

Likes

The faculties are very well experienced and there are captains who stay in the campus itself, so if there’s something we need they will be available all the time
The facilitieslike labs, ship in campus, DB tank facilities etc are top notch
The classrooms are fully air conditioned. There’s smart board. Overall everything is really good and also neat and clean

Dislikes

Galley food can improve a little and canteen is comparatively small for such a big campus
They are not conducting intra- college events and inter-college events is very less

Placement Experience:

Placements are really good in HIMT. I got placed in 1st year itself in MOLMI. All faculties try their best to prepare us for the placements and it shows in the placement interview also. Usually companies come for placements from 2nd year but there are some companies who want to take girl cadets 1st year itself. MOLMI, MOLTA etc came to our college for placements. After completion of the course, company will call for induction and accordingly they will call for joining the ship. For finishing the cadet ship , we have finish 12 months of sea time. After that a lot courses has to be done for appearing in 2 nd mates exam.
