Perspective as a VCW student

I personally find the curriculum to be well made and in favour wit the students. In teaching methods , the subjects that demand practical exposure should be given tasks to be conducted on the real life situation, like the opportunity we get during internship . They should provide task like that .

In our nep program , we had the opportunity to apply for internship which was mandatory in our course , our department was not very supportive in helping us out , firstly we had to look out on our own , and then there were so many documents and formats we had to get sognes bu the intership providing organization that they got frustrated by it . In all this chaos , college didn't help us out by providing or connecting these organisations and helping us out in these paper work , compared to the main campus where they provided 5- 10 pages recommendations for each student so that they won't face these troubles

As a government college , I find the fees to be affordable for a yearly session . In BA course the fees is generally 10 , 200 for one year . And 500 is additional charges for the practical subjects like mine one , e.g, psychology. The fees structure remains same throughout the whole course , and the total amount ,e.g 10200 includes all the charges - tuition , classroom , mangement, labs , libarary. I find hostel fees to be bit expensive, it's more than 1 Lakh for one year with a lots of restrictions. As a up student , we get the up schlorship, there is no other schlorship that's the college provide on its own , You can apply for private schlorship but again all the steps and responsibilities will be of your own.

We don't get many grand fest , on festivals , fresher , these wluld be the main one. There is no such annual fest in our college , also it is not organised on a grand level , talking about labs too , we get well equipped class and materials needed for the test , sometimes it may be bit defective aur old. Library also consist all the materials and good environment for the study , it's a peaceful place , we get computer library too , where students can use the computer with free access for their study . Variety of books can be found in library from academic to competative exams book . There is no many student run club , they organize it on very low level that you may not even get to know there is any such thing exisiting in the college . I feel they should highlight the club's so that studnet can get to know alteast about their presence. Ground had two court , one for badminton and the other for basket ball , but here is no teacher for the physical education .

As I have to apply for BA psychology , there were not many options in 2024 that provide this course in my state any with nep applied , so in UP only the option of BHU was open for me . I have cuet exam in which BHU has its own marking rules , e.g , genral test and engkish subject carry the weightage. I cleared in first round and got VCW , you can apply for other rounds too , but I already decided to go for VCW because of the good faculty (heard from seniors and internet) and the campus. We all know the main campus provides a lot of benefits and facilities , but when it comes to faculty, affiliated ones are the best . And that's why I choosed VCW over other .

In our psychology dept, we get 4 teachers . Till now , I felt faculty are the best thing about the college , atleast in my department, I am very satisfied , they try their best to support the students and make them learn the concepts , practical works . In our first year , we had a female proff. Of whome I loved the teaching style , it was effective and helped a lot . She use to go far and beyond to take the classes and never make a loss of ours , even when the class got cancelled because of new admission process , she used to send the notea digitally or record the lecturws and provide us . We have internals that our college conduct and then external that the main campus conduct . We find internals to be more difficult then the external. Marking system is bit unfair , I find no matter how much you try , there is a limit to give the marks to the students, yoh can never score full marks or the marks you will be expecting even after cuts .all the students feel it's mainly beacuse it' is affiliated , they don't provide the marks the students actually desrve as it will distrupt the results with thw main campus

Our college is stated in a very outer area of banaras , so you won't get to see any student in the night time , mostly live in pg which are on a little distance form the college , and few students take the hostel facility . Hostels area is separated from the campus , so you don't get to enter in college after 5 PM
