Remarks

I think our college is on average level. Need to improve in the faculty and need to build a strong commetty , the laboratory facilities should improve, the hostel facilities should improve, and also need a active managing commetty

Course Curriculum Overview

4

When I got the admission, we seat in the exam once in a year. For honours course we have to appear in 200 marks on hons paper and 100+100 in other pass subjected on the other hand the general course student have to appear 100+100+100 on their three general subjects

Placement Experience

0.5

No there is no direct job opportunity as this is a degree college, We have to appear various types of competitive exam like School Service Commission, Staff Selection Commission, Public service Commission, IBPS,WBCS,IAS and many other then we get the job

College Events

1

We celebrate Rabindra Jayanti,Netani Jayanti, College fresher's, departmental fresher's,Vasa divas, Annual sports,Annual football competition, annual cricket competition,Swami Vivekananda Jayanti, Republic day, Independence day

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees structure is various for various departments , but we have to pay small amount than other colleges Also the admission fees is science stream is more than arts stream , though we got laboratory, library facilities in the little cost of fees

Fees and Financial Aid

There is no scholarship or loan facilities in our college. But we get Bikash Bhaban scholarship, Nabanna Scholarship, Inspired Scholarship from State and central govt but there is a option to reduce the college fees half if anyone not receiving any of the declared scholarships

Campus Life

3

There is not very much scope in the extracurricular activities ,gym facilities is not available purely, labs are not very good, specially the labs which are use for general subjects are very bad, the is need to look after the situation

Hostel Facilities

0.5

No there is not enough availability of hotels, the condition of the college hostels are not good, girls hostels is preparing for a while ,the work has been postponed and not starting for many days ,the infrastructure should be better than this

Alumni/Alumna

Senior students are very friendly to us,they are helpful,we arrange many events together like teachers' day , fresher's , they help us also in our practical base subjects and also help by giving books

Admission

I got my admission by merit list.Fist I was filling up my form in online process then my name was in the merit list and finally I was called for verification and my documents were checked and I got permission to attend the class in my department

Faculty

3.5

Faculty is not enough I think, the college committee should take necessary and positive steps , faculty member should be select by merit , smartness and their ability to do their best for the college and students

Placement Experience:

People who major in my department usually opt for masters over placement not because of this college but because overall industrial or academic opportunities are better with a pg degree. Masters from this college is not recommended as i have heard so from my seniors. Some of my seniors managed to crack competitives and secure MSc seats at great places. Training and Placement cell had a good coordinator previously but now its almost non existent. Companies do come and hire Bpharm, Mpharm and MSc candidates. Packages are below average. Only Nestle pays well. But if you do well you'll eventually climb up the corportate ladder. From the time i am here i have not heard of any BSc candidate getting placed. Most go for higher studies.

Placement Experience:

The average package offered for such roles ranges between ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package offered to a BSc student is around ?4 LPA, depending on skills and specialization. Overall, around 15–20% of BSc students get placed through campus drives, and many students rely on off-campus opportunities.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is very relevant as it provides us an overall knowledge of biology and not dividing it into various sections rather giving us an insight of every aspect of biology. It includes everything such as microbiology, zoology, botany, physiology, molecular biology and so on.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Completely relevant. As the college is autonomous it has its own syllabus. Which matches with the net gate jam exam syllabus. When someone came our college for seminar they strange that we know this much. Exam are quite difficult in 2 months interval.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum was well thought out as per me but there were subjects that i found absolutely unnecessary. Subjects like history evs and clc were in no way related to my course. Coming to the main subjects Design, Printing, Photography and film and Media Training were absolutely necessary for my course and whilst the faculty for some of these subjects were really bad, some were good. It is also important to mention none of these subjects actually helped us prepare for the real world. Instead internships and freelance helped us more than these subjects could ever do. Exams were held bi monthly to keep track of what we learnt and every 6 months we had our semester exams. Overall if you want to be a media professional INTERNSHIPS AND JOBS WILL HELP YOU MORE THAN A COLLEGE WILL. I am biased on this opinion as my college didnt provide me with the correct guidance and support i needed to make it in the real world.

Placement Experience:

In case of computer science department, placement is provided at the Last year of M.sc course. Many companies like Wipro, b10x, Tata visited here. Highest package ever is three lakh per annum. 20-40% of the students got placement after completing M.Sc computer science. My plan after B.sc is to pursue MCA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

* It's all about practical knowledge, we are getting from this course and another aspect is if you wants to make your career in research or lecturer then you should go for it. *No changes required in teaching methods but if college will provide hostel facilities and campus requirement drive, then it will better for candidates.
