By comparing Kerala University Curriculum number of subjects increase and syllabus reduces. This Engineering college is under Kerala Technological University and have there on schme. 2015 and 2019 scheme are now available. 2019 scheme curriculum is very easier than 2015. Curriculum is based on Credit system and have good advantages. Exam are conducted by University in the month of December- January and May - June for respective Odd and even semesters. Supplmentary exams are also take part along with this. Basically question papper have 2 parts. Part A contain questions from 1 and 2 modules and Part B contains questions from 3 and 4 modules and Part C contains questions from 5th and 6th modules. Sub part and OR question are available for each part.

SCTCE have great opportunities in placement and have a record placement while comparing with other Government Engineering colleges and Government control Self financing colleges. 200 above job offer in last year among eligible candidates. In every year job offer and number of students get placed are increasing. In last 2 years there is a internship take place in college under Team Mechartans a club for motor sporting events. This internship is under FMAE and with 15 days duration. Intercollege Baja Car designing and manufacturing internship are takes place and it was a huge success since last 2 years.

There are a lot of events are celebrated in our college. We have a Annual Techno cultural college fest Named 'Cult A Way' and it is mostly done in the month of March or April. There have another events under Nss unit of college, Students union and various clubs and have wide exposure through the state.

Its feasible while comparing with other Sekf financing colleges. Eventhough this college is a Government control Self financing college and have a fees structure of 35,000 , 65,000 respectively for State merit and management seats.

Education Loan facility are open. Kerala Entrance Commissioner and AICTE are providing schlorship for eligible candidates which have top Engineering Entrance rank in various departments. Other schlorship and grands are opened in college by various government departments

Our college have wide variety of extra curricular activities. Better lab facility and lab supervisor. Nss , EDC , IEEE , ASME , SAE Team Mechartans,Literature Club , Aerospace club , SCT Fashion club , Photography Club , Dance club , Arts Club etc. sports and Arts festival are conducted in every year and awarded certificates and Activity points for participants and prize for winners.

Rate of hostel is quite feasible. Hostel have good infrastructure fecilities. Hostel rate are less comparing with other Self financing colleges in Trivandrum. college have ladies hostel itself and many other hostels nearby which are approved by college management.

SCT have great Alumi network and very experienced abd talented senior students and they are very helpful for college and their juniors. Mostly Alumni is linked directly to students by NSS. And also all departments have Department association and the helping network is bigger and bigger.

Admission process is purely under Kerala Engineering Entrance Rank. Mainly 3 category seats are available. State Merit (SM) Management Merit (MG) and NRI and also KSRTC quota are also there for Children's of Ksrtc employees. SM and MG are filled by centralised Allotment process by Kerala Entrance Commissioner and Application are invited for both Nri and Ksrtc quota from college. Application invited through college website. Shortlist candidates based on Kerala Engineering Entrance Rank and Separate Admission process is done in college. Students can take admission in the date provided by college. And spot admission are take place to fill remaining seats at college after all Allotment process. Lateral Entry Seat's are also available to Second year and separate allotment process are done. There is an opportunity for College transfer and branch transfer based of vacant seats.

This college have good faculties in all departments with high experience and high qualifications.
