Campus Life

There are a lot of cultural as well as tech fests conducted at the college. This makes the college life more exciting and interesting. The "Gyanotsav" is considered to be one of the best fest and this involves tech as well as cultural events. I have participated in it twice and literally I don't have words to explain that how much fun it is. There are a lot of sports and extra curricular activities as well. There are multiple clubs in the college including the Entrepreneurship cell of the college. The library has a lot of study material for students to access.

Internships Opportunities

There are internship opportunities as well which the students can do in their 6th and 7th sem and gain experience in their specific domains. There are also a lot of esteemed certification courses offered such as Cisco, AWS, Oracle courses. Students can do these certifications which holds a lot of importance and value in their learning and can gain a hands on experience.

Faculty

The faculty members at IIIT Lucknow are well qualified, knowledgeable academically strong, with most of them holding PhD degrees from reputed institutes. faculty-to-student ratio is decent, which allows proper interaction between students and teachers. Most faculties are approachable and supportive, especially when it comes to academics, projects, internships, and research guidance. Students can easily reach out to professors during class hours or after lectures for doubt clarification. The faculty student relationship is professional yet friendly. Many professors encourage discussions, classroom interaction, and practical understanding rather than just theoretical learning. Some faculties are particularly appreciated for their clear teaching methods, structured lectures, and willingness to mentor students, especially in core computer science subjects.Since teaching styles differ, a few faculties are more strict and exam-oriented, which some students may find difficult initially. However, this strictness helps in maintaining academic discipline and improving performance over time rather than being a major drawback.Course structure is well-designed and relevant, focusing on core subjects like programming, data structures, algorithms, operating systems, databases, and mathematics, along with labs and projects. The curriculum is industry-aligned and helps students prepare for placements and higher studies.Exam system usually consists of mid-semester exams, end-semester exams, quizzes, assignments, labs, and project evaluations. Exams are moderately difficult, and consistent study is required to score well. A small percentage of students struggle to clear exams mainly due to lack of regular study, but overall the evaluation system is fair and transparent. The marking scheme includes internal assessment and end-semester evaluation, ensuring that students are graded on continuous performance rather than a single exam.

Fees and Financial Aid

The total tuition fee for the complete course at IIIT Lucknow is approximately ?3,00,000. The tuition fee is paid on a yearly basis and as of now, it is mostly stable, though a slight increase may happen as per institute or government revisions. Apart from tuition fees, students have to pay hostel and mess charges, which are around ?21,000 per semester. Since the course duration is four years (8 semesters), the total hostel and mess cost comes to approximately ?1,68,000 for the complete course. At the time of admission, students are also required to pay a one-time caution fee of ?2,000 and a hostel security deposit of ?2,000, both of which are refundable after course completion, subject to institute rules. Other minor charges such as registration fees, lab fees, and development fees are usually included in the semester-wise payment and do not vary significantly. The fee structure is generally similar for all categories, although SC/ST students get tuition fee waivers as per Government of India norms. IIIT Lucknow students are eligible for various scholarships and financial aid schemes, including Merit-cum-Means Scholarship, Central Sector Scholarship, and Post-Matric Scholarships for SC/ST/OBC students. These scholarships are provided by the Central and State Governments and depend on family income, category, and academic performance. Overall, the total cost of completing the course (including tuition and hostel fees) is around ?4.7–4.8 lakhs, making IIIT Lucknow a reasonably affordable institute compared to other technical institutions.

We can access it through our library card . Classrooms are there with all facilities including projectors , digital board, speaker, mic and simple white board. It impacts a lot as it gives industry real application based approach to solve problems .

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose this course because of its affordability and the teaching quality of this college is good . They helps in choosing the real life application based projects . Teaching methods are impressive but they don't provide notes . We have make notes by attending class regularly. Frequency and timings of exams are of 3 hrs. For each subject . Faculty

In our college the exam system is very strict because in every year our college provide scholarship for the students who achieve 60% in exam, so the year devided in to 2 semester and 4 internals. The relationship between our faculties and us is very strong because they help us in every situation and support for next goals also they choose the perfect path for our bright future and successfull life. But there are some faculties who demotivates students in there faliour instant off supporting them. That's why students don't like those teachers. Not all student's pass in the exam some did their best but there failed and try for next with motivation.

Course Curriculum Overview

Aspects of the curriculum that influenced my decision A strong foundation in core subjects, which helps in builiding conceptual clarity. A good balance between theoretical knowledge and laboratory work Emphasis on analytical thinking, problem solving and technical skills 2. Prepare for real world applications and Higher Studies Core subjects fundamental required for competitive exams are not taught here but to pass the basics interviews of core comapnies it is enough. Less assignments are given so that students feel light and works on their passion. 3. Areas of improvements Regular updates to inculde emerging technologies and industry trends More industry- oreinted electives and case studies I hope less use of ppts should be implemented and more focused on green board 4.Exams: Frequency, Timing and Dificulty level The frequency of quizes and exams are quite frequent after each month there is some kind of test and exams going on. And taking the exams without giving the required day gaps. I hope that the frequency of exam and quiz should be reduced.

Faculty

Faculty to student ratio- 1:45 Most of the faculties are quite friendly and frank with the students helping them. But there are certain branches of btech or b pharma where the facultites need to be more friendly with students rather than just being strict. For chemical enginnering the mot famous faculty amoug us is Sangram Roy because he is quite professional and disciplined about the what he teaches and helps the students to find new opportunities. Exam Pattern Quiz-1 10 marks Mid sem- 25 marks Quiz-2 10 marks End sem- 50 Marks Teacher's assignments- 5 Marks Total=100 Due to relative grading the fail percentage is quite low. Follow the teacher's instructions and class. According to the new demands in industrail and tech sector the course curriclum has been modified a bit.

Campus Life

My experience with campus life has been moderately positive and well-balanced. The social life is quite cordial, and students from different backgrounds mix well, making it a pleasant and welcoming place to be. The college has technical, cultural, and sports clubs, and students can engage in activities such as seminars, workshops, cultural events, and annual festivals, which are quite good for exposure outside academics. Although activities related to clubs are available, they are not very regular, so students wanting more can always take the initiative themselves. Regarding infrastructure, the campus is quite clean and well-maintained, with clean and tidy classrooms, functional labs, Wi-Fi connectivity, library facilities, sports facilities, and a clean canteen. Campus life is quite decent and supportive, although students wanting a very vibrant and active campus life might find it a bit restrictive.

Faculty

The lecturers in the college are well-qualified and supportive, with many of them possessing postgraduate or doctoral qualifications. They are able to explain concepts clearly and are available for doubt-solving and academic guidance. The course structure is well-organized and is in sync with the university syllabus, incorporating both theoretical knowledge and practical knowledge acquisition in labs, assignments, projects, and seminars, thus enabling students to develop a strong foundation in core subjects. The examination pattern is in a semester pattern, including internal assessments in the form of class tests, quizzes, assignments, lab tests, and attendance, along with end-semester university exams. The weightage pattern is well-balanced, giving equal importance to internal assessments and final exams, and is designed to test conceptual knowledge as well as application-based knowledge.
