Course Curriculum Overview

With a strong emphasis on fundamental pharmaceutical subjects like pharmaceutics, pharmaceutical chemistry, pharmacology, and pharmacognosy, the curriculum at Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) is reasonably current and well-structured. Building theoretical foundations and getting ready for advanced coursework and competitive exams are two benefits of the curriculum. However, there is a lack of industry-focused training and hands-on experience, so self-learning and internships are necessary to prepare for the real world. The syllabus should be updated to reflect the demands of the modern workforce, more skill-based and application-oriented learning should be included, and case studies and projects should be used to enhance teaching strategies. Semester-by-semester exams are moderately challenging and emphasise theory and memorisation over real-world application. The curriculum is strong academically overall, but it needs to be better integrated with real-world applications.

Faculty

Personally in my opinion, I have got best faculties till now they are really approachable and students are also comfortable enough with them to raise questions when in doubt without hesitation. All teachers of mine are favourite Be it my chemistry teacher (as well as my tg) Ranjana Mam , P C Dixit sir, Pramthesh Sir(japanese tutor) Vasant Acharya Sir (EEE) , his teaching style and expertise in eee helps a lot. All the teacher's make sure to make the hectic classes go smooth with interaction and some fun learning. There is The mid sems exams , and PUT(Pre university test) before end sems and then end sem. The difficulty level may vary from student to student. On an average what I feel mid sems are slightly easier than the put exams because of the course syllabus as when as the marks contained.

Fees and Financial Aid

The year wise I have paid around 5,000 fees. Tution fee -2,000 There will be less fees for SC/St comparing to others. I have completed my course in this college for two years. Fees will be almost same for everyone. Scholarship will be available for students for every two months.

Placement Experience

I have visited companies like wipro, tech Mahindra for campus interview and I have got 2L per annum package. I think there should to 60percent for better placement. After I got the degree I am planning to study in foreign countries

Campus Life

They would conduct many cultural fest like annual day, fresher day, dj night and fest for every festival so both student and faculty can enjoy their time apart from focusing on academics. There is a library in our colleges which has all types of book from academics to general knowledge ones. And there would be either projector or a television in every classroom for teaching. Students do participate in many clubs like club64, iic mlritm etc.

Placement Experience

From 4th year 1st semester, the students become eligible for campus placements. About 10-15 companies visited our college with minimum 3 lpa. And only 30% of students are placed in the campus placement. Companies like virtuza, movate, cognizant, hcl visited our campus for placement. The highest package was 4.5 lpa and lowest was 2.8 . My plans after getting degree is work in a reputed mnc.

Fees and Financial Aid

The yearly fees is 2 lakh 40 thousand. Plus 4000 examination fees annually. There is also a security deposit of 2000 which is one time and is refundable. There exists a scholarship test CUCET, based on this test score, one can get upto 100% scholarship, which is very rare as you have to score 90% in the test to get 100% scholarship. Under 89% only 50% is rewarded. 40% scholarship if scored under 79%, and it goes on. There is finnacial aid available in the terms of loan within the premises, not externally applied. Education loan can also be applied from outside banks. But CU has internal loan system as well with different terms and higher interest rates.

Campus Life

The clubs, the extra curricular activities part of this college is awesome. I do debating and orating, The department of Art and Cultural Affairs took to me Mumbai, Pune, Delhi for competitions and all costs were taken by the college. You just have to represent your college and win. The only need is you have to be good at what you do. There are a lot of people from different parts of the country so it's diverse society, so we learn a lot. There are innumerable clubs and all doing their work and conducting events and workshops and even have budgets to run. Its a well speculated environment for any student.

Faculty

Few faculty are so sweet and few of them are too strict they show us torture if we do any mistakes in academics they blackmail us that they reduce marks in internal and external labas the bond between us and faculty is dependent there personality if go and approach them very few faculty have better knowledge some of them don't have basic things to explain they will just come and give us some peace over a class Faculties I liked the most in my academic year are Rakesh sir, saidulreddy sir and few more i didn't remember there names they taught us good in our academics I didn't like few of them because they show torture if we caught doing anything un necessary things for whole semester We have 6 subjects in 1st semester+ 4 labs In this semester i felt mathematics And python are hard for me many students failed in this 2 subjects as well as in applied physics Luckly i prepared well for my exams and I passed in all the subjects 2nd semester there are 7 subjects + 3 labs again m2 ,french and cad subjects made me to feel it is very hard I passed in all the subjects few members got failed which I mentioned above. In 3rd semester we have 8 subjects + 4 labs so many failed in discrete mathematics and also in design and analysis of algorithms I passed in all the subjects. In 4th semester we have 9 subject+ 4 labs i felt mernstack subject is hard for me so many members failed In 5th semester we had 8 subjects in that i felt compiler design is hard , Salesforce and we had a 4 labs few are easy few are hard but I cleared all the subjects in first attempt. In 6th semester we had 7 subjects+ 4 labs I felt mobile application development is hard But i cleared my exams and also cloud computing is also hard for me. In 7th semester this is the last semester to write exams for us because we didn't have any subjects to clear or write in 8th semester I have cleared 7th semester and got overall cgpa 8.05 i really worked hard for my btech academics.

Fees and Financial Aid

My College fee is different for everyone like few of them paying 1lakh 50k I'm paying 2.35k ,there are many other students who are paying more than me like 3lakhs if we go before EAMCET results we will get the seat for 1.75k if we go after the realising results of EAMCET then they will change the amount 1.75k to 2.35k if any recommendations they get the seat less than 1.5k so It is based on that we don't have any caste categories to join and it is the university fee we don't have any scholarships they will take 3-4k for certifications after the graduation for providing our own btech certificates. And they will decrease the fee based on ipe marks if they wanted too they won't take any extra money for anything till now from us

If you are a brilliant student don't waste your money here I request you, know one will tell you the truth Hostels are like 2star hotel no facilities , bad food , Take unnecessary transport charges Even students are not professional and goal oriented It more feel like government school even more worst Poor campus your first visit make you feel regret If you have scored good marke I suggest you to drop or take admission in good universities in other city ( if there is lot of fee , there is value of money ) They provide placement in private hospitals but you get the job is very difficult They don't make you like professional you have to make your own efforts Hope you are understanding what iam telling to say The provide poor and useless books Give equal importance to GNM than Bsc students No lab experience in first year Teacher change every 2-4 month Poor mess food and hygiene Only two buses for transport and 45 students in on bus students have to sit one on another actually the bus has 20-25 seats only

Fees and Financial Aid

Total fee for state quota - 122400/yr without hostel and with hostel it may around 2 lakh For management quota- around 2-2.5 lakh/yr with hostel and without hostel may be around 1.8 lakh There no reservation in fee for any category whereas scolarships is given to top rankers If i tell you about my fees Tution fee - 58400 Miscellaneous fee- 10000 Books and dress - 15000 Transport - 36000 (3000 / month )

Fees and Financial Aid

Currently I am pursuing BTech computer science it's semester fees is 61200 rs and 1000 rs lab charge which is yearly means only taken in once a year. Admission and registration fees total costs around 9 to 10 thousand rupees. Also there is no sochlorship for SC , ST and OBC in our university but there is a sochlorship given on the basis of 12th percentage only for first year students of every course the eligibility for this sochlorship is above 60 percent in Physics, chemistry, mathematics and english in class 12th. Also mention that exams fees is submitted before end semester exams for BTech computer science it's 4500 rs per semester and different for different courses. There is a certain period given by university to submit the course and exam fees and after that period there is a fine for late submission of fees. The sochlorship is alloted for jain students only they got 50% discount only on course fees and not on exam fees this is all about fee structure

Faculty

Faculty is so approachable there is a mentor assigned for every class and solve all problems of students it is easy to approach teachers for doubts and queries. There are three class tests are conducted in every course and two of them are compulsory. The class tests are 30 marks of each subject and I like to mention that there is no mid semester exams in our university only end semester exams are conducted which are 60 marks of each subject also there are external practical conducted which are around 20 marks each practical. The result is on the basis of end semester exams + practical + class test marks.

Internships Opportunities

I don't have much idea about such campus placements yet, but I do know that an average of 3LPA is offered and Air India generally has 100% placement, so it's good overall. I have not yet seen my seniors showing any dissatisfaction regarding placement.

Faculty

The faculty is quite well educated, with the majority having postgraduate or doctoral degrees. the faculty to student ratio is decent there are few facutly members who stand out because of there teaching ideas or there relation with some students

Faculty

the kind of relationship we have in our college not every faculty is good to react have a pet talk with students and also try to guide to the students. for me personally one such good faculty we had b.prasad sir who has our java faculty and he was a person to be inspired of where he guided our batch to create a project which we made it to finals in SIH smart india hackthon finalist 2024 batch we are so close to get the title without his guidance we could'nt able have reached that stage its all come exposure so students in college where there a few faculties where they follow old methods to make student learn its completely different for someone who is coming from a cse background the coding needs logic and logic building comes from practice not from mugging the algorithms and the exam ciruclar we have 2 mid and a end sem exam .In mid term exams we write it for 40 marks amount of time we get is 2 hours and where as for sem it is 60 3 hrs of time . we fail to score in the end sem exam we have give the paper which is supply for each supply we have to pay 300/- the supply date often released with juniors in the college

The college provides many facilities like library, classrooms , labs, and opportunities to participate in extracurricular activities . Although club involvement and events are limited ,the environment was friendly and comfortable for students

Faculty to student relationship is very good. They helps us in our academics without getting irritated and their way of teaching is excellent. I generally like my DBMS faculty because they have best at teaching and I don't like full stack faculty because he is not good at explaination.. I feel he is not good and the exam were very simple. The questions will be mostly from the syllabus and we have mcq based exams mostly

Campus Life

There are very few festivals when it comes to my college, there is an annual day celebration and a fresher's day celebration along with a DJ night and that's for all the regular festival for the year. Technical festivals are quite good when compared to regular festival where we have hackatons, Codeathon and many technical quizzes once in a while. There are quite a many books in the library where you can easily find the book of your need. The facilities and technological provisions are also quite good, each class is equipped with a projector and a white screen for the display of system. There are sports fests held once a year and it is held quite nicely and many students participate for the sports fests. Movie promotions and student performances are also done in the college once in a while. There are many clubs that are run in the college by the students, some of the examples ares IIC, Club 64 and GFG clubs.

Faculty

The faculty to student ratio is also quite good there are around 1 faculty for every 30 students and rhe faculty student relations is also quite good because they are easy to approach for any guidance and the faculty are quite friendly. Some of faculty whom I liked in my college was Mr. Raghavendra, Mrs. Sushma. The best of the facilities come from NIT's in our college. The faculty whom I didn't like is Mr.Vinod and Mrs. Devi because they were unfriendly and kind of rude to the students. There are around 5 theoretical subjects and 2-3 practical exams based on the course. Out of 70 students around 8-10 students fail the students and the course curriculum is quite outdated when compared to the current trends in the technological industry.

The events do go on around the year and the main events are hackathons and annual day and dj nights along with few technical fests and Esummits . But the club involvement is only done by few exclusive club members with my experience our department or class didn't get much recognition or involvement to join in clubs and i feel like it could have been better and a lot of clubs can be introduced newly and the campus life all over is good . There are different sports events also conducted for girls and boys and also inter college competitions

Placement Experience

From the 5th semester itself students are eligible for placement drives if they pay for the placement training classes , internship drives start from 5th semester and training classes go on for students every week , from 7th semester drives on different job roles start and the placed percentage of students right now is about 30 to 40 percent and drives are still going on but correct training and correct opportunities more needs to be provided
