Very tight knit medical school and good community feel. Early clinical exposure to ward placements.

    Course Curriculum :

The course is a spiral curriculum and covers all necessary components to fulfil guidelines as per GMC and Tomorrow's Doctors documents.

Because of its high rank as a university and for my degree. I entered through clearing so it was one of my only options. I didn't know anyone from this university and I wasn't too fond of the location at the time either, however, since being here I am very happy.

    Course Curriculum :

My course has a great structure which I like. This is one of the main things I took into account when choosing this university. It is very up to date and I feel really prepares its students for the future.

Honestly, it was all very last minute when I decided to go and study in the UK. Lancaster is an amazing university especially for my course and if you join a club or society that matches your interest then the whole university experience just becomes a whole lot better. Then there is obviously sports for which you can try and join but more importantly, there is an yearly competition called roses which takes place between Lancaster University and the University of York which is a pretty big deal considering the fact that both universities compete in sports and other activities and only one is crowned champion.

    Course Curriculum :

Honestly, it has been such a big change from my high school where we were expected to memorize a lot. As I'm studying law, you are expected to put in a certain number of hours per week into actually studying the different cases so that once we go to seminars, we can discuss a variety of scenarios. This definitely makes you think about how you can apply specific case law or court decisions to the scenarios that we are given. Currently, I find Commercial law and Land law very interesting. The contents of all my modules are very thorough and they cover a very broad range of topics and case law so that when we graduate, we will be prepared to face virtually anything in our field or speciality. Our course is always up to date and relevant and an example of this can be seen in our European law module where we were asked to discuss the repercussions brexit in a seminar after preparing the relevant case laws. There is an option to opt for industrial exposure but that will cost you another year of your degree.

Factors for choosing admission include- Ability for an integrated masters Good work environment Away from the hustle of the city Very welcome atmosphere Rigorous academic training A lot of hands on experience

    Course Curriculum :

The curriculum is intense and well planned. Plenty of opportunities to correspond with the lecturer and a lot of contact time online, even if the pandemic is at large.

Lancaster university was ranked much better than the other universities I had applied to.

    Course Curriculum :

We were given a variety of courses and even the option to take up the CIPD course which is widely recognized.

I had filled up my UCAS application for 4-5 colleges but I was eligible for a scholarship at Lancaster and during my research, it came out to be the most reputed college in terms of academics and placements. The major requirements included a good academic record in mathematics and English according to my GCSE. I also had to submit my English proficiency test scores.

    Course Curriculum :

In my first year, I was introduced to theory and principles of economics, evidence and policy analysis, Calculus, linear algebra, etc. In the second year, I progressed to computational mathematics, Probability, Statistics, Game theory, econometrics, macroeconomics and microeconomics. The final year modules were the most interesting with topics from Health economics to industrial organization, medical statistics to advanced macroeconomics and I was also allowed to write a dissertation.

I wanted to be in Lancaster as it is everything a university should be. It is also among the top 10 universities in three national league tables. I applied to the university via the UCAS application, wherein I had to enter my personal details, previous and current qualifications, an academic reference and a personal statement. I also had to submit my GCSE details, English proficiency test scores, and an application fee of £18 to get admitted.

    Course Curriculum :

My academic program was divided into – Part 1(Year 1) and Part 2(Year 2, 3, 4) and each year required a fulfillment of 120 credits in the core modules like Atmosphere, Biogeochemical Cycles, Geology, Biodiversity and Conservation, Environmental Chemistry, Aquatic Biogeochemistry, Soil Science, Hydrology, Ecology, Climate and Society, Glacial Systems, etc.

The university offered the course I wanted with one of the top 10 rankings in the UK. It was all based on my requirements and reviews I got from past students of this course.

    Course Curriculum :

It is a good course in which I learnt a lot from both my mentors and colleagues however the course style could have been done better in understanding with the requirements of students.
