University of Leicester Admission Deadlines

The application starts in September for the admissions in October of next year. The last date to apply for admissions is January 15.

Students applying for Medicine courses have to apply earlier. The deadline is 15 October.

It is strongly recommended to apply before the 15 January deadline.

The deadline for graduate courses vary from program to program and also there are no specific deadlines. Applicants have to apply one or two months prior of starting a program. Most of the courses start in September. So, applicants should apply in the month or June or July to secure admission.

International applicants should apply taking the visa process time period in consideration.

University of Leicester offers 70 UG programs in the field of Accounting and Finance, Aerospace Engineering, Applied Psychology, Banking & Finance, Biological Sciences, Economics, Computer Science and Criminology.

  • For Indian students, 75% to 80% marks in Secondary school is required.
  • Personal statement defining career objectives.
  • Proof of English proficiency for non-native English speakers.
  • Concerned Departments at university will go through contextual data and may call for an interview (No interviews most of the time).

Visa process for International Students

  • After admission is offered and accepted by the student, then visa process begins.
  • Documents required to apply for Visa are -
    • Confirmation of acceptance for studies (CAS number) which will be given by the university upon selection to a particular course.
    • Original copies of academic qualification.
    • Proof of financial resources/sponsorship.
  • After obtaining all the above documents, an applicant can apply online for visa and schedule an interview with the embassy.

The university will make an unconditional offer if all the requirements are fulfilled by the applicant. However, If the applicant is currently studying for qualifications that relate to the applications, then the university may make a conditional offer, which will be dependent on the grades an applicant achieve.

Also, some department may contact the applicant directly for an interview. Applicants are required to keep track of the undergraduate degree through UCAS track and the applicant will be notified about the application acceptance/rejection within 28 days.
