University of Leicester has 4000 international students from 110 different countries. According to September 2018, 2309 applications were received for UG courses out of which 1095 students were called for interviews and a total of 701 offers were made. The university has an acceptance rate of around 70%.

The application starts in September for the admissions in October of next year. The last date to apply for admissions is January 15.
Students applying for Medicine courses have to apply earlier. The deadline is 15 October.
It is strongly recommended to apply before the 15 January deadline.
The deadline for graduate courses vary from program to program and also there are no specific deadlines. Applicants have to apply one or two months prior of starting a program. Most of the courses start in September. So, applicants should apply in the month or June or July to secure admission.
International applicants should apply taking the visa process time period in consideration.

The university will make an unconditional offer if all the requirements are fulfilled by the applicant. However, If the applicant is currently studying for qualifications that relate to the applications, then the university may make a conditional offer, which will be dependent on the grades an applicant achieve.
Also, some department may contact the applicant directly for an interview. Applicants are required to keep track of the undergraduate degree through UCAS track and the applicant will be notified about the application acceptance/rejection within 28 days.
