University of Southampton Application Deadlines

The university does not have any admission deadlines for Postgraduate programs. However, some departments may have their own admission deadlines. Applicants are advised to contact their particular department to get the required information.

University of Southampton Undergraduate Admissions

    • Minimum qualification of 60% in bachelors
  • Requirements for Students from Japan-
    • Overall final grade of at least 80% in the undergraduate level
  • Requirements for Students from Singapore-
    • Minimum GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 at the bachelor’s level
  • Requirements for Students from Hong-kong-
    • Bachelor's degree with a minimum GPA of 2.8 out of 4.0

Visa Process for International Students

International Students wishing to take admission in University of Southampton are required to hold a student visa. Students aged 16 and above wishing to study in the UK require a Tier 4 (general) visa.

To obtain the Tier 4 visa, students require the following documents:

  • CAS – Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies
  • Current and previous passport
  • Two photos meeting UK passport requirements.
  • For applicants under 18 years of age- consent from parent/guardian to travel and study in the UK
  • Tuberculosis test certificate
  • Academic qualifications
  • Financial evidence
