Exeter was ranked in the top five in the UK for my subject and in the top 50 globally. I was also offered a scholarship based on merit by Exeter, which strongly inclined me towards it. The admission process was quite easy, and the university responded to my emails very swiftly. Also, Covid hit while I was 6 months into my course, and the university at all times treated us very kindly and offered financial support to whoever needed it. I applied to a total of 5 universities, out of which I got offers from 4 and got waitlisted in 1. Confirmed Offers: University of Exeter, University of Bristol, University of Glasgow, Queen Mary University of London. None of the colleges rejected me ! The only 1 where I was waitlisted was University of Manchester and the potential reason could’ve been my timeline. I started late in the process and applied late for University of Manchester. My waitlisting reason was there were no seats available but had kept my profile on hold in case anything was made open last minute. The primary reason was the University’s Business School- it held a triple crown accreditation and a mark of global excellence with heritage. Additionally, factors like curriculum, placements/company tie-ups and the city played a big role in making the decision. The admission process was surprisingly simple with steps like- choosing the program, preparing documents, adding SOP and any other documents to support the same, looking for scholarships if any and applying online. IELTS should be enough The overall experience was a solid 9/10, in my case I faced delay in getting my CAS letter which delayed my visa. Apart from that it was a smooth process from the university’s end too. Intake- September Intake. Admission process took 4-5 months on a span Detailed timeline- Applied with all the documents in Jan 2023, got my offer in Mar 2023, Paid my deposit to confirm my admission in June 2023 (that was the deadline), and received my CAS after submitting final transcripts around August 2023. I applied to 5 colleges. I got rejected by one surrey.Got accepted by 4 unis: Exeter, aston, Essex and Oxford brookes I wasn't selected in surrey because of my less experience in the particular field, which is business analytics or else I would've gone with that uni since it was also accredited by IIBA an institute of business analytics. I got accepted by others cuz I feel like they were pretty easy to get into based on my qualification or my background related to the same field Firstly, the title Russell group, Secondly the accreditation. Finally, the employability rate, Well, I don't really remember my admission process since most of it was taken care of by the agency i went through so I didn't really have to bother much about the admission process. I just followed what was expected by them, like helping with the SOP and stuff. I was accepted into this based on my 12th english marks which were more than 75 so I didn't really need to give IELTS but I guess it also depends on the course you are applying for. The admission experience was hassle-free for me since there was no issue from applying till paying the amount also we were getting quick replies within a day so yeah, I didn't have to go through much of it. I passed my bachelor's nearly to September so I couldn't apply for it; hence, I had to apply for jan 2025 intake the entire admission process took me 25 days or even a month. I started sharing all my information with my agency in the month of October and I got almost accepted by the end of it. I chose UOE because it was a Russel group university along with being in a safe city. My programme was challenging and definitely not for the students who want to take a chill pill.
