Course Curriculum

10

  • The course syllabus is very close to the real-world experience, but no real industrial exposure is provided; it’s just classes and assignments. It may differ based on the programs. There will be around 2-3 classes per day for 3 days a week. On average, around 15 hours of classes a week.

Admission Experience

  • I have bachelors in Engineering and always wanted to proceed in my career in management areas. So, I decided to pursue a management/business studies degree. Admission to UoE is straightforward. Take the IELTS exam, and apply for the program you like.
  • If one cannot get the applied program, the university offers an alternative program based on the student's portfolio. Wait for the CAS number, apply for a visa, pay the university and accommodation, and book a flight.

Faculty

10

  • We usually had around 50 students in one class. But we will usually be splitted in a group of 5-6 depending on the program. Each group will get a professor. The teaching faculty was supportive.

Campus Life

8

  • There are many clubs, for example Indian community club, every year. One can contest in the election if one wants to be a chairman. There will be many campus celebrations as well, like Diwali, Halloween, Christmas, etc.

Part Time Jobs

  • Finding part-time jobs outside of campus is fairly easy. Building networks with peers should be enough to land on part time job. The maximum number of hours is 20 hours a week, and the salary varies from £9-£14per hour

Placement

6

  • Finding full time job for International students is hard, given the current market scenario, employers do not sponsor work visas easily. Consistent effort with patience is essential to land a job in the UK. Not many of my batchmates got the job right after graduation.
  • Career fairs help for some programs, but it’s the student’s responsibility to build a network, do market research, and start applying for jobs from day 1 of staying in the UK.

Accommodation

Off Campus
10

  • Students can apply for on-campus dorms or private dorms. En suite flats cost a lot, shared apartments are fairly cheaper. Monthly cost would be around £1200-2000

Exams

  • Only IELTS is needed, and with at least 6.5 band in IELTS, documents needed are: Bachelor's degree certificate, mark cards all in English or attach an affidavit if in other Indian languages, 2 LOR’s from Bachelor's college professors, SOP.
  • In 2021for International Business program, the entry requirements were a minimum of band 6.5 in IELTS

Fees

  • For the MSc International Business in 2021, the tuition fees were £21,000 for 1 year program. Accommodation and living expenses would vary depending on the lifestyle and the dorms students choose. If a student wants to live in a shared space, then around 8-9k GBP would be enough for a year.
