Master of Science [MSc] (International Business)
Field of Study:
$49,434 /Yr
University of Warwick MSc International Business is a one-year, full-time Master of Science at Warwick Campus in Coventry, United Kingdom, starting September 2027. Entry requires a UK upper-second-class degree, equivalent to 60%, 65% or 70% in India depending on Warwick’s institution category. International tuition for the complete programme is £39,500 (INR 49.97 Lakhs), so the funding decision extends beyond meeting academic eligibility.
The course combines international strategy and marketing with quantitative methods, economics and accounting, making it suitable for graduates seeking broad commercial preparation. Its capstone choice includes research, a business simulation or a self-sourced internship, allowing applicants to select how they demonstrate their learning. The breadth suits applicants entering international business, while those wanting a narrowly specialised degree should examine the compulsory curriculum before applying.
- Applicants from all academic disciplines are welcome, allowing graduates outside business to build a commercial foundation.
- Optional beginner-level foreign-language classes run during the first two terms, offering an additional way to prepare for cross-cultural work.
- The dedicated master’s careers team provides coaching and employer engagement alongside the academic programme.
Current Admission Status
Applications for the September 2027 intake are Open. International student deadline: 2 August 2027.
Indian applicants should allow for Warwick’s published eight to twelve-week application processing period, followed by any outstanding academic or English conditions. Earlier submission also fits the business school’s rolling scholarship assessment.

Warwick MSc International Business Fees and Living Costs 2027
The September 2027 international tuition is £39,500 (INR 49.97 Lakhs) for the complete one-year programme. The deposit forms part of tuition, so adding it again would overstate the amount you need to finance.
September 2027 entry: the following charges apply to the full-time MSc International Business for international fee-paying students.
| Fee item | Amount (GBP) | INR equivalent | Payment basis |
|---|---|---|---|
| Total programme tuition | £39,500 | INR 49.97 Lakhs | Start of the year or instalments |
| Deposit credited towards tuition | £3,000 | INR 3.80 Lakhs | Within four weeks of receiving an offer |
| Remaining tuition after deposit, calculated | £36,500 | INR 46.17 Lakhs | Total tuition minus deposit |
| Non-refundable application fee | £75 | INR 9,488 | Application payment |
All INR conversions in the article use a conversion rate of GBP 1 = INR 126.5 as of 17 October 2026. Rates fluctuate daily, verify before applying.

- Arrange the deposit before an offer arrives because its four-week payment window can begin while academic or English conditions remain outstanding.
- For instalments, obtain the payment schedule from Warwick Finance before matching education-loan disbursements to tuition obligations.
- Registration, tuition, examinations and the graduation ceremony are included, while accommodation, meals, travel, graduation robes and photographs require separate funding.
Cost of Living in Coventry for MSc International Business Students
A 12-month living budget is more useful for this one-year MSc than a term-time undergraduate allowance. Warwick’s displayed survey categories total £442 (INR 55,913) monthly before rent, with laundry listed separately.
Prior-cycle planning illustration: the table combines Warwick’s October 2025 survey-based non-rent subtotal with Lakeside’s 2026/27 postgraduate accommodation. Lakeside charges £227 (INR 28,716) weekly for 50 weeks; its contract total is divided by 12 for monthly comparison.
| Expense | Monthly (GBP) | Monthly (INR) |
|---|---|---|
| Lakeside rent averaged across 12 months | £945.83 | INR 1.20 Lakhs |
| Combined non-rent survey categories | £442 | INR 55,913 |
| Calculated monthly total | £1,387.83 | INR 1.76 Lakhs |
| Calculated annual total, 12 months | £16,654 | INR 21.07 Lakhs |
The annual calculation combines £11,350 rent (INR 14.36 Lakhs) with £5,304 non-rent spending (INR 6.71 Lakhs). A 50-week tenancy also leaves a housing gap if you remain for a full calendar year, so check your actual departure date.
Current entry charges add a £558 Student visa fee (INR 70,587) and a health surcharge of £776 annually (INR 98,164). For a visa exceeding one year but lasting no more than 18 months, the calculated surcharge is £1,164 (INR 1.47 Lakhs).
Adding tuition, the application fee, annual living costs and these visa charges gives a calculated all-in planning baseline of £57,951 (INR 73.31 Lakhs). This planning illustration combines confirmed 2027 tuition, prior-cycle living inputs and current immigration charges, with no scholarship assumed. Add flights, English testing, computing equipment, study materials, laundry and any accommodation gap using your actual quotations.

Study-material inclusion needs clarification
Warwick’s programme overview includes study materials in tuition, but its official MSc fee page excludes them. Obtain written clarification from the MSc Recruitment team before finalising this part of your budget.
Tip for Indian students: The deposit reduces the tuition balance but does not fund Coventry living costs, so separate your tuition disbursement from maintenance funds.
Warwick MSc International Business Admission 2027
September 2027 is the programme’s published intake, with a full-time start on 27 September 2027. Applicants from any academic discipline can apply, but Warwick assesses both degree performance and the institution awarding the qualification.
Academic eligibility: Warwick requires a UK upper-second-class degree, mapped to 60%, 65% or 70% for Indian institutions in its published categories. The category guidance below is current institutional equivalency guidance, rather than a guaranteed admission cutoff.
| Eligibility factor | Requirement for Indian applicants |
|---|---|
| UK upper-second-class degree equivalent, Category 1 | Minimum 60% or 6.0 on a 10-point scale |
| UK upper-second-class degree equivalent, Category 2 | Minimum 65% or 6.5 on a 10-point scale |
| UK upper-second-class degree equivalent, Category 3 | Minimum 70% or 7.0 on a 10-point scale |
| Previous subject | All academic fields considered; a business degree is not required |
| Degree delivery restrictions | Degrees designed entirely for distance, online or correspondence study are not accepted; involuntary online study is assessed individually |
| Qualification restriction | Bachelor of Vocation degrees are not considered for postgraduate entry |
Locate your exact institution and faculty in Warwick’s India list because some universities have department-specific classifications. Where transcripts show percentages or marks convertible to percentages, Warwick prioritises that measure over the grade-point average. Warwick makes the final equivalency decision, so a percentage meeting the guidance does not establish an admission probability.
The programme’s 2025 intake contained 74 students from 18 nationalities, with an average age of 22. That profile describes an earlier cohort, rather than a minimum age or a measure of selection odds. Warwick advises applicants with three or more years of post-graduation business experience to discuss whether its MBA (Master of Business Administration) is more suitable.
The published MSc requirements do not list a GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test) or GRE (Graduate Record Examinations) threshold. These admissions tests therefore have no published MSc score target to guide preparation, so prioritise the stated degree and English requirements.
The core Quantitative Methods for Business module covers statistical tests and regression, so generalist entry still involves numerical work. Applicants changing from non-numerical degrees should refresh introductory statistics before starting, while group assignments require time alongside individual examinations. For the research-paper capstone, Research Methodology becomes compulsory; the applied routes instead allow an additional optional module.
English Language Requirements
This MSc requires Band B, Warwick’s designated English-language standard for the course. IELTS (International English Language Testing System) eligibility depends on component scores as well as the overall result, making the score distribution important.
Current requirements linked from the 2027 course: the table prioritises IELTS, TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) and PTE (Pearson Test of English). These tests provide alternative routes to demonstrate the same course language standard.
| Test or route | Overall requirement | Component or evidence condition |
|---|---|---|
| IELTS Academic, UK visa version or Online | 7.0 | Maximum two components at 6.0/6.5; the remainder at 7.0 or above, in one sitting |
| TOEFL internet-based test taken on or after 21 January 2026 | 5.0 on the revised scale | Minimum 4.5 in every component; no MyBest combination |
| PTE Academic or its UK visa version at a test centre | 70 | At least 59 in every component; PTE Academic Online is not accepted |
| Recent degree taught entirely in English | Possible assessment route | Degree completed within the previous two years; university approval required |
For TOEFL tests taken on or after 21 January 2026, Warwick’s Band B policy states: “Total Score 5.0 including minimum of 4.5 in each component”. All components must meet the requirement on one test date, so combining results across attempts cannot repair an ineligible score.
- Book a test whose result will remain within Warwick’s two-year validity period at the September 2027 course start.
- Check all four IELTS bands before submitting evidence because Warwick rejects one-skill retakes and requires a single sitting.
- Seek confirmation of any English-medium degree assessment instead of assuming that an Indian school-English result automatically clears this MSc’s language condition.
Cambridge, Trinity and Duolingo are also accepted under their published Band B requirements.
Student perspective
An individual MSc International Business review dated 8 April 2024 describes demanding subjects alongside the adjustment to studying away from home. Treat that experience as a reason to refresh quantitative skills before arrival; the checked student reviews do not establish typical workload.
These comments are anecdotal and do not replace official University of Warwick data.
Tip for Indian students: Warwick’s institution-specific percentages and Band B component rules are separate checks, so clear both before treating a conditional offer as enrolment-ready.
Warwick MSc International Business Application 2027
Submit a complete application for September 2027 by 2 August 2027, with enough time for reference submission and conditional-offer requirements. Warwick publishes a typical eight to twelve-week processing period, which can lengthen during busier periods.
September 2027 application timeline: the MSc process gives one published application deadline rather than a calendar of numbered rounds. Decisions follow individual applications, so the processing period below is not a promised decision date.
| Milestone | Published timing | Applicant action |
|---|---|---|
| International application deadline | 2 August 2027 | Submit through Warwick’s online application form |
| Application processing | Usually eight to twelve weeks after full submission | Monitor the portal and complete outstanding evidence |
| Deposit payment | Within four weeks of the offer date | Follow the payment instructions in the offer |
| Course start | 27 September 2027 | Complete conditions, immigration and arrival arrangements |
The deadline carries no published clock-time cutoff, so an exact Indian submission time cannot be verified. During August, BST (British Summer Time) is four hours and thirty minutes behind IST (Indian Standard Time). Warwick’s portal cutoff controls submission; obtain the precise hour from MSc Recruitment if submitting close to the published date.
Build the Application Around Your Academic Transition
Warwick requires a personal statement, CV (curriculum vitae), degree transcript and one academic or professional reference. The CV records your education, employment and extracurricular activity. The statement should explain your course choice, career direction and contribution to the cohort without repeating your employment history.
- Upload transcripts showing modules and marks for every undergraduate year, including the first year, plus a final-year module list when results remain pending.
- Brief your referee before paying the application fee because Warwick sends the reference request after payment and expects you to ensure submission.
- Use a specific international-business problem to explain why strategy, economics or quantitative methods would address a gap in your preparation.
- Upload required translations with original documents through the portal because the programme’s application guidance does not accept supporting documents by email.
Graduates outside business should connect their previous discipline to cross-border commercial decisions, rather than presenting the MSc as an undefined career change. For example, a technical graduate could explain a need to evaluate overseas expansion using International Business Strategy and Quantitative Methods for Business. That approach makes the proposed academic transition assessable through named course content.
You can apply before completing your degree or English test, using interim transcripts and stating your planned test date. An offer may then depend on the final degree classification or language result, so schedule those evidence submissions alongside the deposit obligation. Warwick considers deferrals only in extenuating circumstances, which makes choosing the intended intake consequential.
Application strategy: apply when the academic evidence, statement and referee are ready instead of reserving the entire preparation period until August. The published processing interval and rolling scholarships both support earlier submission, especially when English evidence or final results will follow. The current MSc process does not specify an interview stage, so do not assume a separate interview round or guaranteed exemption.
Application tip: Use interim transcripts to begin Warwick’s assessment while final results are pending, then track the missing conditions separately from the offer’s deposit deadline.
Warwick MSc International Business Scholarships 2027
Warwick Business School (WBS) currently publishes competitive tuition scholarships ranging from 10% to 50% for its master’s applicants. These awards reduce tuition rather than establishing a living-cost allowance, so the gross budget remains relevant until a written scholarship offer arrives.
Current published awards, checked 17 October 2026: the scholarship pages do not assign these terms to a specific intake year. Fixed award-specific percentages appear for Warwick alumni routes, while the other awards sit within the competitive scheme without a separately promised percentage.
| Named scholarship | Relevant applicant profile | Published award or selection basis |
|---|---|---|
| High Potential Scholarship | Applicants demonstrating academic achievement, initiative, volunteering or extracurricular contribution | Competitive tuition support assessed through evidence of potential and impact |
| UK and Commonwealth Scholarship | Outstanding applicants from Commonwealth countries, including India | Competitive award supporting geographical diversity |
| Alumni Scholarship | University of Warwick alumni accepted onto a postgraduate master’s | 25%, with up to an additional 25% for exceptional academic or extracurricular achievements |
| Warwick Undergraduate Scholarship | Warwick undergraduates progressing directly to a master’s | Automatic 30%, including the 10% alumni discount, with up to a further 20% considered |
For an Indian graduate applying from an Indian university, High Potential and UK and Commonwealth are the directly relevant WBS categories. The alumni routes require a Warwick study history and should not be entered into that applicant’s funding calculation. The separate International/EU (European Union) award is described for talent living outside the UK or Commonwealth, so its title alone does not establish eligibility.
Assessment is rolling, and WBS says scholarship recipients are notified when their MSc offer is made. State your interest in funding in the course application and substantiate achievements with evidence, such as leadership responsibilities, volunteering outcomes or academic work. Check the application form for any additional scholarship response required before submitting.
- For High Potential consideration, demonstrate the result of an initiative rather than listing membership of student societies without describing your contribution.
- For Commonwealth consideration, identify the geographical perspective you would bring to the international-business cohort and support it with experience.
- Keep the tuition deposit and living funds available while scholarship assessment remains unresolved because the published award range is not an individual promise.

Confirm intake-specific funding terms
The official master’s scholarship page describes rolling awards without a fixed 2027 calendar deadline. Ask MSc Recruitment to confirm the applicable award terms and any additional submission before reducing your loan requirement.
Scholarship reality: Indian nationality makes the Commonwealth category relevant, but the published award percentage becomes usable funding only when Warwick confirms your individual scholarship.
Warwick MSc International Business Salary 2027
Warwick’s official MSc employment report provides course-specific historical survey evidence. Its title says Graduating Class of 2025, while the profile and job tables reference 2023 intake and 2023 to 2024 graduates.
| Course survey measure | Result |
|---|---|
| Survey participation | 77 replies from 100 graduates; 77% |
| Status six months after completion | 75% employed; 18% seeking employment; 7% not seeking employment |
| Reported employment destinations | India 45%; UK 16%; China 13% |
| Reported employment sectors | Marketing 19%; manufacturing 15%; consulting 12%; finance 12%; education 8% |
| Acceptance timing among those offered roles | 63% before completion; 9% within three months; 28% within three to six months |

Employment is not an offer rate, and the salary measure uses PPP (Purchasing Power Parity). This purchasing-power adjustment prevents a cash exchange-rate conversion, so a nominal UK or Indian graduate salary cannot be inferred.
External Salary Benchmark for Business Development
The National Careers Service publishes the following UK business development manager salary range, a role relevant to Warwick’s advertised business-development pathways. This is an external job-market benchmark covering different experience levels, rather than a Warwick graduate salary.
| External UK role benchmark | Annual gross salary (GBP) | INR equivalent |
|---|---|---|
| Business development manager, starter | £28,000 | INR 35.42 Lakhs |
| Business development manager, experienced | £80,000 | INR 1.01 Crore |
Source: UK National Careers Service, business development manager profile, checked 17 October 2026.
The upper endpoint describes experienced workers, so use actual entry-role advertisements when evaluating a first post-MSc position. Advertised business-development pay can include target-dependent earnings, which should be separated from guaranteed basic salary. Take-home pay depends on tax and personal circumstances; use the government Income Tax estimator with an actual offer before setting repayments.
Warwick names Amazon, Deloitte and PwC among recent graduate employers, without identifying a hiring volume or sponsorship commitment. The careers page also lists consulting, finance and technology roles, but those examples span different seniority levels. Treat employer presence as evidence of possible destinations and investigate the specific role’s experience requirements.
For a commercial career, the internship or Business in Practice route can provide applied evidence alongside the core international-business modules. Applicants exploring doctoral study can instead use the research-paper route to develop a supervised research output, accepting less emphasis on an internship deliverable. Select that capstone before building the year’s career or research preparation around an assumed project format.
Return on Investment (ROI) for an Indian Applicant
The calculated baseline study budget of £57,951 (INR 73.31 Lakhs) makes the funding decision material even before flights and other individual extras. The investment is easier to justify when Warwick’s broad commercial curriculum fills a defined skills gap and repayment does not depend on an unverified UK salary.
- With 45% working in India in the historical destination table, test loan repayments against realistic Indian offers before financing the course around sterling earnings.
- The 18-month Graduate visa window means post-course job-search living costs require separate funds; add those costs beyond the study budget before accepting substantial debt.
- The self-sourced internship route requires your own search, so retain the research or Business in Practice option instead of budgeting around internship income.
- Competitive scholarships advertise up to 50% tuition support, so assess affordability at gross cost until your award letter confirms the reduction.

ROI reality: The course survey’s India destination share makes an India-return repayment assessment necessary before financing the MSc around anticipated UK earnings.
UK Visa for Warwick MSc International Business Students 2027
Warwick’s Coventry MSc requires Student visa funding beyond tuition. Announced rules from 30 November 2026 set outside-London maintenance at £1,203 monthly (INR 1.52 Lakhs), for up to nine months. The calculated nine-month proof total is £10,827 (INR 13.70 Lakhs), held for 28 consecutive days; this is financial evidence, rather than Warwick’s living-cost estimate.
- After successful MSc completion, eligible graduates can apply in the UK for a Graduate visa lasting 18 months under rules applying from 1 January 2027.
- A Skilled Worker visa normally requires an approved sponsor and £41,700 (INR 52.75 Lakhs) or the higher occupation rate; eligible salary concessions require separate checks.
- Skilled Worker settlement normally requires five qualifying years and the other settlement conditions, so Warwick’s one-year MSc and Graduate visa do not themselves establish settlement.
- This taught MSc normally excludes new dependants, although qualifying government-sponsored students on courses longer than six months can use the published exception.
Also Check: UK Student Visa Requirements for Indian Applicants
Visa reality: The Graduate visa cannot be extended, so use Warwick’s study year to investigate eligible sponsored roles rather than postponing the search until graduation.
Warwick MSc International Business Ranking 2027
Warwick reports a top 35 global position in Business and Management Studies in the 2026 QS (Quacquarelli Symonds) subject rankings. This ranking evaluates the university’s discipline, rather than assigning a standalone position to MSc International Business.
The 2026 ranking edition provides subject context for a September 2027 applicant, but it does not measure this MSc’s UK employment probability. Use the course’s generalist curriculum, capstone options and historical employment destinations to judge whether its particular structure fits your intended transition. Those programme details answer decisions that the subject ranking cannot resolve.
Check Out: University of Warwick Subject Rankings
Honest take: Warwick’s Business and Management subject result supports the academic context, while the MSc’s internship model still requires you to source your own opportunity.
Warwick MSc International Business fits graduates seeking broad commercial preparation for cross-border work, including those changing disciplines. Its quantitative foundations and choice of research or applied capstone support different ways of demonstrating that transition. The material tradeoff is a substantial funding commitment alongside an internship route that requires your own search. Prepare the September 2027 application and scholarship evidence together, then resolve funding before committing to the offer’s four-week deposit obligation.
MSc International Business FAQs
Ques. Is Warwick MSc International Business worth the cost for an Indian applicant?
Ans. The course is most defensible when its international strategy and quantitative foundations address a specific gap in your preparation. The calculated baseline of £57,951 (INR 73.31 Lakhs) assumes no scholarship and uses labelled earlier living-cost inputs, so add your individual extras. Test repayment against an India-return scenario as well as UK employment because the course’s historical destination evidence spans both markets.
Ques. Can a graduate without a business degree manage Warwick MSc International Business?
Ans. Warwick accepts all academic disciplines, and the curriculum includes foundational accounting, economics and quantitative methods. That makes a subject change possible, but the programme still uses analytical work, examinations and collaborative assignments. Review your statistics and financial-statement basics before arrival, then choose the research or applied capstone according to the evidence you want to produce.
Ques. Should I apply to Warwick before receiving final marks or an English-test result?
Ans. You can submit interim transcripts and a planned English-test date, allowing Warwick to assess the application while final evidence remains pending. A conditional offer can still trigger the deposit timetable, so align result release, test availability and deposit funding before applying. This approach uses the published processing period without treating pending conditions as already satisfied.
Ques. Which Warwick scholarship category should an applicant from India pursue?
Ans. The UK and Commonwealth Scholarship and High Potential Scholarship are the relevant competitive WBS categories for an applicant studying in India. Warwick alumni discounts require a Warwick study history, while the International/EU title does not automatically establish Indian eligibility. Present your academic or extracurricular evidence with the course application and obtain the individual award terms before reducing the amount you need to borrow.
Ques. Does completing Warwick MSc International Business secure a UK job?
Ans. Completing the MSc does not establish a sponsored job: Warwick’s internship route itself requires an independent search. The 18-month Graduate visa provides a limited post-study window under current rules, while longer-term sponsored work has separate job and salary requirements. Start role-specific applications during the MSc and retain funding for a job search beyond the study-year budget.

- I was offered admission in a few other universities but I chose WBS because it is highly ranked in the world. It is in the top 20 business schools and the facilities at WBS are unmatched. The business school has many accreditations and also offers career service with its own career service portal. The university has a very high reputation and the teaching standards are peak. It really challenges me to push my limits and it offers the perfect inoculum for growth be it academic, professional or personal.
- The infrastructure, ambience, diversity, standards and reputation that we feel at this place is really awesome and it makes you want to work hard and bring out the best possible version of you. The challenges are really painstaking but the fruit of it is really worth it and prepares you for a life beyond campus life.
Dislikes
- It is quite expensive to even live a meagre life here. It can be financially challenging and the university is quite far away from major cities like London and Manchester. Getting medical attention in the UK is really challenging and is a big hurdle.
The course is very challenging and managing all of it far away from home really makes you come out of your comfort zone and do your best. The cohort is very diverse and enables you to make friends and acquaintances all over the world and let you understand their perspectives and thoughts. I am in deep awe of the infrastructure and standards set by the university and the very beautiful campus set in an English country side. Every subject is challenging and requires you to give your best. The faculty is really wonderful and so is the curriculum.
