University of Warwick fees for Indian students start at £27,870 (₹35.62 Lakhs) for UG humanities and reach £37,460 (₹47.88 Lakhs) for MSc Computer Science, Data Analytics, and Cyber Security in the 2026/27 academic year.
The September 2026 postgraduate taught deadline is 2 August 2026. Fresh Indian applicants cannot realistically start this intake, since UK Student Visa (the sponsored study route) processing takes 3-8 weeks and cannot be compressed. Your realistic entry is the September 2027 intake. Warwick does not run a January intake for standard MSc, MA, or LLM programmes, so September is the only viable start point.
Key fee anchors for 2026/27:
Chevening (fully funded) opens on 5 August 2026 and closes 5 November 2026 for September 2027 entry. This is the highest-value scholarship window for the current intake cycle. Inlaks Shivdasani, JN Tata Endowment, and KC Mahindra windows follow between January and June 2027.
Warwick asks for a £2,000 (₹2.56 Lakhs) tuition deposit within four weeks of accepting your PG offer. This is not an extra charge, it is deducted from your first instalment. The remaining tuition is billed in three parts: roughly 50% at October registration, 25% in January, and 25% in April. A 3% discount applies if you pay the year’s full tuition within 30 days of registration, worth around £1,120 (₹1.43 Lakhs) on a £37,460 MSc. SWIFT bank transfers from India take 3-5 working days, so initiate at least a week before each due date.
An Indian student self-funding a one-year MSc at Warwick should budget ₹65-75 Lakhs all-in. A three-year UG STEM degree lands near ₹1.87 Crore before scholarships.
All INR conversions use GBP-INR = ₹127.81 per xe.com, 9 July 2026.
September 2027 Intake: Deadline Pressure on Chevening Applications
Intake: Warwick’s PG taught deadline for September 2026 is 2 August 2026, and Clearing for UG opens 13 August 2026. Given 3-8 weeks of Student Visa processing, fresh Indian applicants target the September 2027 intake. Warwick does not run a January PG intake for standard MSc, MA, or LLM courses.
Fee update: The September 2026 intake is billed at the 2026/27 rate: £37,460 (₹47.88 Lakhs) for MSc Computer Science, Data Analytics, or Cyber Security, and £35,530 (₹45.41 Lakhs) for UG STEM. The September 2027 intake will use the 2027/28 rate, historically 5-6% higher, adding roughly ₹2.5 Lakhs to a Masters and ₹2.3 Lakhs per year to UG.
When to pay: A £2,000 (₹2.56 Lakhs) tuition deposit is due within four weeks of accepting your offer, non-refundable but credited to first instalment. Remaining tuition instalments fall at October registration (50%), January (25%), and April (25%). Pay in full within 30 days of registration for a 3% discount, roughly £1,120 (₹1.43 Lakhs) on MSc Computer Science.
Scholarships: Chevening opens 5 August 2026 and closes 5 November 2026 for September 2027 entry, the single most valuable action in this intake cycle. Warwick Chancellor’s International Scholarship applications for PGT open in November 2026. Inlaks Shivdasani closes 20 March 2027 (indicative), JN Tata Endowment opens in January 2027, and KC Mahindra Scholarship opens in April 2027.

Warwick has raised international UG STEM fees between 4% and 7% per year over the last five cycles. The table below shows UG Band 2 (STEM) trend since 2022/23, indicative of Warwick’s overall pricing pattern for international students.
| Academic Year | UG Band 2 Fee (GBP) | UG Band 2 Fee (INR) | YoY Change |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2022/23 | £28,410 | ₹36.31 Lakhs | Base |
| 2023/24 | £29,830 | ₹38.12 Lakhs | +5.0% |

| 2026/27 | £35,530 | ₹45.41 Lakhs | +5.1% |
Source: Warwick published overseas UG STEM fees, 2022/23 to 2026/27 rates.
The compound rise from 2022/23 to 2026/27 is roughly 25% in GBP terms, before factoring INR depreciation against the pound (about 6% over the same period). PG rates have followed the same upward slope, with MSc Computer Science moving from around £29,830 (₹38.12 Lakhs) in 2022/23 to £37,460 (₹47.88 Lakhs) in 2026/27.
Key Insight: Your September 2027 intake will use the 2027/28 fee schedule, expected to be roughly £37,300 (₹47.68 Lakhs) for UG STEM based on the five-year trend. Locking your Chevening application before the 5 November 2026 close insulates you fully, since Chevening covers all tuition regardless of the year rate. If you defer from September 2027 to September 2028, budget another ₹2.5 Lakhs on UG STEM tuition alone.

Coventry is one of the most affordable major UK university cities. Living costs run 30-40% below London, even including on-campus accommodation. Warwick’s main campus sits between Coventry and Kenilworth. Most students live in halls, in private housing in Canley or Earlsdon, or commute from Leamington Spa (15 minutes by train).
| Expense | Monthly (GBP) | Monthly (INR) | Annual (INR) | Notes for Indian Students |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Accommodation, uni halls (en-suite) | £750 | ₹95,858 | ₹11.50 Lakhs | Warwick Accommodation guarantees Year 1 UG; PG apply via Sherbourne, Bluebell, Cryfield |

Note: A single Indian student in uni halls should budget £1,112 (₹1.42 Lakhs) monthly, and £947 (₹1.21 Lakhs) monthly in a shared private house with utilities. Twelve months of living in halls totals £13,344 (₹17.06 Lakhs), your baseline for a one-year MSc living budget.
Warwick’s on-campus accommodation demand exceeds supply for PG students. First-year Masters students should apply to Postgraduate Halls as soon as the accommodation portal opens after firm offer acceptance. Off-campus private housing in Canley and Earlsdon is walkable to campus and offers £150-250 (₹19,172-31,953) monthly savings compared to en-suite halls.
Currency Tip: No tuition payment is due until you accept your offer for the September 2027 intake. Once your offer arrives, set up a forex card and lock a GBP rate before the £2,000 (₹2.56 Lakhs) deposit deadline in your offer letter, which typically saves 2-3% against a same-day SWIFT wire. For subsequent instalments at October registration, January, and April, use a forex card or Wise instead of your bank’s default remittance to avoid the 3-4% margin on retail forex rates.
The table below shows Year 1 total cost by scenario for Indian students, including tuition, living, and mandatory UK Student Visa and IHS fees. UG living is calculated on a 10-month basis (September to June); PG living is calculated on 12 months since Masters students remain in the UK through summer for dissertation.
| Scenario | Tuition (Yr 1) | Living (Yr 1) | Mandatory Fees | Total Year 1 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| UG Humanities, Band 1 | £27,870 (₹35.62 Lakhs) | £10,000 (₹12.78 Lakhs) | £2,818 (₹3.60 Lakhs) | £40,688 (₹52.00 Lakhs) |
| UG STEM, Band 2 | £35,530 (₹45.41 Lakhs) | £10,000 (₹12.78 Lakhs) | £2,818 (₹3.60 Lakhs) | £48,348 (₹61.79 Lakhs) |

| Full-time MBA (WBS) | £59,500 (₹76.05 Lakhs) | £12,000 (₹15.34 Lakhs) | £1,266 (₹1.62 Lakhs) | £72,766 (₹93.01 Lakhs) |
Source: Warwick published overseas fees 2026/27, UK Home Office Student Visa £490 and IHS £776/year. UG mandatory fees show £490 visa plus £776 × 3 years IHS paid upfront at visa grant; PG shows £490 visa plus £776 × 1 year IHS.
Full-programme total for a three-year UG STEM degree, factoring 5% annual fee inflation and small living cost rises, is approximately £1,46,000 (₹1.87 Crore). The full one-year MSc Computer Science lands at ₹64.83 Lakhs, and the full-time MBA at ₹93.01 Lakhs. A self-funded MSc student taking a ₹65 Lakh loan at 10.5% for 10 years pays approximately ₹87,700 monthly in EMI; a ₹93 Lakh MBA loan pays roughly ₹1.25 Lakh monthly on the same terms.
Key Insight: A Chancellor’s International Scholarship of £10,000 (₹12.78 Lakhs) combined with the 3% Full Payment Discount of £1,120 (₹1.43 Lakhs) reduces your MSc Computer Science first-year outlay by ₹14.21 Lakhs, bringing net cost from ₹64.83 Lakhs to ₹50.62 Lakhs. Both are decided at the offer stage for the September 2027 intake, so submit the Chancellor’s scholarship form when it opens in November 2026 to secure it before the discount payment window opens at October 2027 registration.

External Indian and government-funded scholarships are the largest lever for Warwick applicants. Chevening applications for September 2027 entry open 5 August 2026 and close 5 November 2026, making them the most time-critical opportunity in this intake cycle.
| Scholarship | Level | Amount | 2026-27 Cycle Deadline |
|---|---|---|---|
| Chevening Scholarship (UK Govt) | Masters | Full tuition + stipend + flights | 5 November 2026 |
| Commonwealth Scholarship | Masters, PhD | Full tuition + stipend + flights | 15 October 2026 (via MHRD nomination) |

Tip for Indian Students: Register on the Chevening portal and start your four essays (leadership, networking, studying in the UK, career plan) before the 5 November 2026 close. Chevening is the only fully-funded route that pairs with any Warwick programme, and a successful award covers your full ₹65 Lakh MSc all-in cost. Apply to the Warwick Chancellor’s International Scholarship (opens November 2026 after your firm offer) in parallel, since the two can stack for an even lower net cost if Chevening is unsuccessful.

The most time-sensitive hidden cost for the September 2027 intake is the Chevening opportunity itself. Missing the 5 November 2026 close forfeits access to a fully-funded MSc worth ₹65 Lakhs. Beyond scholarships, the recurring hidden costs below add ₹5-8 Lakhs to your first-year Warwick budget on top of tuition and standard living costs.
Budget approximately ₹5-8 Lakhs above your tuition and standard living costs for first-year hidden expenses.
Note: IHS is the hidden cost families forget most often. A one-year MSc student pays £776 (₹99,181) upfront at visa application; a three-year UG STEM student pays £2,328 (₹2.97 Lakhs) upfront. It cannot be paid in instalments and is required to complete the visa, so include it in your day-one financial planning alongside the £490 (₹62,627) visa fee.

The most urgent action for the September 2027 intake is Chevening. Everything else compounds over the course of your degree, but Chevening is a single-window opportunity that opens 5 August 2026 and closes 5 November 2026. Miss it and you cannot reapply within the same cycle.
Tip for Indian Students: The highest-value saving lever for the September 2027 intake is stacking Chevening with the Warwick Chancellor’s International Scholarship. If Chevening is unsuccessful, a £25,000 (₹31.95 Lakhs) Chancellor’s award plus the 3% Full Payment Discount of £1,120 (₹1.43 Lakhs) cuts MSc Computer Science net tuition from £37,460 (₹47.88 Lakhs) to £11,340 (₹14.49 Lakhs). Combined with post-study Graduate Route Visa earnings of ₹35-55 Lakhs annually, your loan payback horizon on a self-funded MSc collapses to 3-4 years instead of 10.
Budget ₹65-75 Lakhs for a one-year MSc at Warwick and ₹1.87 Crore for a three-year UG STEM degree, both figures including tuition, Coventry living, UK Student Visa, and IHS. The Chevening window from 5 August 2026 to 5 November 2026 is the single most valuable action for the September 2027 intake, and a full award zeroes out your cost. Warwick’s Chancellor’s International Scholarship of up to £25,000 (₹31.95 Lakhs), auto-assessed for many PG applicants, is the strongest institutional lever if Chevening is unsuccessful. Self-funded MSc students should plan around a ₹87,700 monthly EMI on a ₹65 Lakh loan at 10.5% for 10 years, offset by two years of UK Graduate Route Visa earnings post-degree. Register on the Chevening portal well before the 5 November 2026 close to preserve the best route to Warwick for this intake cycle.

I chose the University of Warwick as it is very prestigious and highly ranked for my course. My overall Uni experience has been a very good learning opportunity not just about academics but also about life skills.

The course is very challenging and managing all of it far away from home really makes you come out of your comfort zone and do your best. The cohort is very diverse and enables you to make friends and acquaintances all over the world and let you understand their perspectives and thoughts. I am in deep awe of the infrastructure and standards set by the university and the very beautiful campus set in an English country side. Every subject is challenging and requires you to give your best. The faculty is really wonderful and so is the curriculum.
