In your 4th year, you are eligible for sitting for placements. There are plenty of top companies like Amazon, Google, Ebay, Paypal, Tesco, Flipkart to name a few that come from across the country to hire BITSians based on merit. Highest salary was offered by Google @1 CR and close to 90% students got placed during our batch. There were few who didn't get placed based on low CGPA or not being able to crack interviews. I wanted to be involved in startups so i didn't sit for placements.
There are two programmes - Practice School - 1: 2 Months (Second year summer vacation) Practice School - 2: Whole semester in the 4 year There is also an option to swap Practice School - 2 with thesis on campus, who are looking to publish paper or do research under professors. These program have many listed companies offering internships as part of the curriculum. Students are graded based on their performance during these programs. They are allocated companies based on cutoff list & grades. Companies are located across India & have tie up with BITS Pilani from past many years Projects during the internship depends on the type of company & potential seen in student by the company. If students are willing, they can learn a lot given this opportunity.
BITS pilani has achieved successful placement for almost 100 per cent of the deserveing candidate. The placement call of bits train the candidate before appearing for any for an interview. Companies like Amazon, Kpmg, Morgan Stanley are top recruiters.
Nearly 150 large and medium-sized companies visit BITS Pilani's Goa campus every year to recruit students. Considering the alumni salary statistics (2016-18), the median salary offered in BITS Goa placements drive for BTech as well as MTech programme has ranged between Rs 6 to 7 LPA.
The college is famous for it's computer science dept with 100% placements and an average package of around 18lpa. Famous companies Uber, Microsoft, Nutanix, J.P Morgan, Oracle, Directi, Phone pay, OYO, Amazon, flipkart, famous startups like dunzo, bounce, anarock, Jovix. For IT placements, there's a coding round, then technical interview and then HR round. For non-tech, there's a quant round, multiple interviews and HR round. For IT placements, mainly there are two kinds of roles. Software developer (SDE) and data analyst (ML, AI). For non tech there are multiple roles. Business analyst, product analyst, product manager, digital marketing role etc. BITS has one of the best alumni network all over the world with people at important positions. Start-ups like zivame, bigbasket, grey Orange robotics, jivox, gharpay etc. Our placement division has done some wonderful work over the years and is trust worthy. There's also entrepreneur cell which supports the entrepreneur culture in the college. There's an annual event every year names coalescence which invites famous entrepreneurs from different fields to come and share their stories. Basically, there are endless opportunities in BITS PILANI. It's on you how you grab them up.

The list of companies are huge, all top companies come to our campus like goldman Sachs, Samsung, Apple, Google. The average package of cs branch is 23 lakh pa which is huge and only iit kharagpur, kanpur, bombay, delhi and madras have better placement stats in India. Also the average package of electronics branch is 17 lakh pa. Also, the practice school 2 invites top companies where students get their internships. Overall, the placements are one of the bests in the country.
Amazon, Microsoft, uber and other big companies visit our campuses and recruit students. Postman a bits goa startup recently became a unicorn(1 billion $ evaluation). Bits pilani has a great alumni network.
The placement is one of the best across the country and is comparable to IIT's. We have 2 compulsory internships provided by BITS which has associations with industries and a lot of our seniors get PPO from there.
Placements and job opportunities are wonderful here. Last year the average package was around 15 lakhs per annum. Yes, the college provides internships in many companies. I am in 1 year of my college so I haven't done any internship yet, I am looking forward to do one in the near future.
Several companies come to the college for placements. We have a complete placement unit where professors and inducted students work to bring in companies. The average ctc is around 10 lakhs. Internships are provided by the college through practice school. It gives industry experience to the students and also includes credits for completion. Students are assessed on the knowledge aquired by them during practice school. Practice school selection is based on cgpa. So more respected companies pick students with better cgpa.
ECE is a new branch in BITS Goa Campus. This is the first batch of ECE. Thus being the first batch, communication companies will be coming for the first time. Many of electronics companies come for internships/placements. Electronics Companies - Google Hardware, Apple, Samsung, Intel, NVIDIA, Texas Instruments, Western Digital (Parent Company of SanDisk). These are few of the electronics companies that come. Few IT companies that come for electronics as well are Google, Amazon, Microsoft, Uber, Goldman Sachs, Flipkart, Intuit, Directi, Rubrik, Arcesium, Nutanix. Few Non-Tech companies that come are McKinsey & Company, KPMG, JP Morgan, Credit Suisse, Nomura, Deutsche Bank, Swiggy, Goldman Sachs, HDFC Life, Dalberg. About 95% of the students are placed who have registered for placements.
