- It offers a great placement after the course completion, companies like microsoft, amazon google, flipkart and other companies like goldman sachs come to recruit new freshers in their companies and even offer internships as well.
- The fests conducted in our college are worth enjoying and marvelous talent is encouraged.
- No fees hike policy.cost to study is a bit high for a government organisation but it's worth it.scholarship opportunities financial assistance and job opportunities are very satisfactory over here.
Dislikes
- The scholarship availability should not be below 5 lakh.. it should be a larger number beacuse 5 lakh income is lower income than a lower middle class family.
- The faculty advisor is a very rude and strict person who doesn't understand the student's problems.
- Placements for lower branches are not that good and being a remote area more companies are not coming to college

- There are many things that I liked after coming to this college that is NIT Rourkela which is situated in the Steel City of Rourkela in Odisha and because i myself live in Rourkela so I am very happy to get this college.
- The campus is very large in size, about 1200 acres and has all the facilities that one will need in any college.
- Multiple fests are organized on a regular basis and the best part is students take care of all those things here.
Dislikes
- First thing that I disliked is that the classes are a bit boring although it could be interesting but the professor are a bit lazy here.
- Second is due to the large size one have to walk a much greater distance to go from class to class and that is very hectic during summers.
- One more thing that I disliked is that in this college power cut is done only during exams.
Placement Experience:
The placement records are only increasing for this college every year. This year one of my senior has secured 1.2CR per annum package in an IT company. The employbility is high around 92% every year get placed with an average salary of 13LPA.

- My hostel provide mostly good quality food. somedays the quality goes very down but very few days it happens
- Seniors were cool. They were supportive and cheering.
Dislikes
- Professors are very strict and paper checking is based on the professor you assigned.
- Rules are changing, you have to up to date with all changes with notices
Placement Experience:
According to seniors , placements are good and decent comparing to other nits . After 6 semester , company are hiring for placements . Many companies has visited more than enough . Highest package I seen in 23 is 1.12 CR in rubrik from senior . My plans after degree is doing sde job at company.

Students from 7th semester becomes eligible for campus placements. Name if companies visited are: Tata, Reliance, ExxonMobil, Saint Gobain, Qualcomm, Microsoft, BNY Mellon etc. Highest package is approximately 45 lakhs. Percentage of students getting placement is 97%.

- green and spacius campus , the lush green and spacius campus create a pleasent and inspiring atmosphere for students.
- carrer workshop and seminars: there is strong emphasis on practical learning which heelps better understanding theory.

- hostel facilities: some administrative processes can be beauracratc and slow , requring improvement for efficiency.
- hostel facility: while generally adequate ,same hostel could benifit from renovation and better maintenence to improve living condition of students.
- wifi connectivity needs to be considened in some part of campus .
Placement Experience:
from 6 sem onwards students become eligible for campus placements , some companies visited are deloitte, , de shaw , highest paid is around 86 lakhs, in case 99% students get placed my plans after getting degree is preparing upsc

- Campus is soo beautiful and very large size
- Environment is soo cool and well cleaned.
- Faculty are helpful and well educated also.
Dislikes
- Hostel rooms are soo small and unfurnished also.
- Mess food charges are high and sometimes tastes bad.
- Transport charges are very high and have less tourist places.
Placement Experience:
Students can apply for campus placements from first semester itself. But most of the companies demands for final year students.
The average package was around 8-9 lpa .
Almost 80% students got placement in my department.
I will pursue PhD after the degree.

- Basically from my point of view there is a lot of thing that should be appreciated like examination system is fully partial and as a student you would know each and everything on time.if i talk about campus life its one of the best part of college
- life you get a lot of chance to flourish your personality as you head a lot of chance through different festival, sports event, concert. If talk about faculties all are highly qualified except some personally i dont like their teaching methodology.
- Placement record of this college is really awsm almost 100%.In terms of infrastructure you get one of the best engineering college in india.
Dislikes
- I also observed some of the flaws which should be improved like teaching methodology of some of the professor is not upto the marks they must be informed to improve through feedback collected by student. Apart from this Course work need to be changed
- as some of the irrelevant subject is thought which is completely outdated in present scenario
Placement Experience:
Placement record of this college is really very good, almost 100% percent. For this specialisation highest package is around 38 lpa ctc and median is around 8-10 lpa. Major core recuriter are intel, qualcommn, mediatek, samsung, and many more Company from software industry, anylsyst, marketing, edtech etc.

- The campus here is very ambient, students are competitive which makes it very interesting.
Dislikes
- The mess fees seems to be very much as compared to other government college.
Course Curriculum Overview:
Curriculum here is very hectic based on the earlier methods of terms by NIT and IITs across India. This needs to change with each year since the format of learning and comprehensive education is developing.

- NIT Rourkela is one of the top nits in India .It has a big campus of 1200 acres to roam around .it is an autonomous college with more benefits also .it has the most number of departments compared to any nit .
- You will get a tag of top nit which will be beneficial for future . placement opportunities are pretty well . During placement drive thare are also facilities such as guest houses where people can stay also for any parent visiting to their student .
- Clubs are very much active in nit rkl .you get to know about many things here .clubs will help you lot in your journey
Dislikes
- Although it is one of the top nits .it's administration is not so good
- 85% attendance rules sucks , also no semester exms gap are there . literally sem week hurts so much
- 1200 acre campus is good but when we go to daily by cycle we get tired .cycle is mandatory here
Placement Experience:
From pre final years placement starts at the end you will get placed surely if you are skilled enough .
Offers are 900+ and some students have also 2 offers in a hand
Google Microsoft Adobe also visit our campus
95% students are placed with 10+ lpa

- Faculties are excellent. They help us in academic as well as extra curricular activities. Institute promotes proper internship and placement drive
- You get a comprehensive study environment. Top notch equipmentare provided. Heathy competition is encouraged.
- Nit has provisions for sports and fun activities like swimming, gym, basketball etc. club culture is outstanding.
Dislikes
- Mess food quality is not upto the mark. rooms are clumsy
Placement Experience:
Campus placements start from seventh semester for btech and from 8TH semester for dual degree. campus placement rate is quite good as a premiere institute. Average package is around 30lpa for Comp sc. graduates highest package for this academic year is 1.2 crores

A friend at NIT Rourkela gave me a detailed review of her college the last time she visited me. Here are some highlights from her descriptive experience
- NIT Rourkela has a huge, serene, and well-secured campus.
- The institute has diverse clubs that promote extracurricular activities and their performance is better than most clubs of other engineering colleges.
- Decent Internet speed is offered and the Dc++ is well maintained.
- The hostels are well-maintained and decked with all the basic amenities one could ask for.
- Students are actively involved in sports such as gymming and swimming.
- The faculties are a mixed bag. Some are underqualified and lethargic while some motivate you to become a better person.
- The institute boasts of an extensive entrepreneurship culture.
- The institute needs to work on increasing its alumni base and the level of fests it organizes given the huge income the institute generates.
- The placement scenario varies from branch to branch. It's decent for branches like CS while pathetic for others.
- Rourkela does not have any places to explore and also lacks flight connectivity.
- The city of Rourkela is one of the cleanest places so hygiene is not an issue here.
