Course Curriculum Overview:

I have chosen this course because I am much interested in computers and their working and most of my family members are from a software background. The faculty and student ratio is about 1:24 in this college. All the faculty and the staff are well qualified and work minded and deliver maximum subject to the students. The exams are not that much easy to pass. Because the paper is in such a way that it will test the student's thinking skills and the paper is not that much tough. We can pass the exams if we follow the lectures of the professors daily.

Placement Experience:

From the 6th semester, the students will be eligible for the placements. Many companies visit our college including the MNCs like Capgemini, Tech Mahindra, Syntel, Polaris and TCS, Wipro and other companies also. All the companies offer a total of around 350 job offers to the students. The highest package offered is 28lpa and the average package is 5.2lpa. Almost 70% of the students get placed in campus placements. My plan after the completion of my degree is to pursue M.Tech.

Placement Experience:

From the end of the 6th semester, we will be able to join the college placements and get jobs in the campus placements themselves. And eligibility for the students to join the college placements is students should have zero backlogs at the end of the 3rd year. Infosys and Tech Mahindra are some companies who visit our college for placements. The highest package is 27lpa and the average package is 6.5lpa. The percentage of students getting placements is 70. And I have a plan to do a job after my engineering degree course.

Placement Experience:

Yes, the percentage of getting placement is good. Maximum it depends on the study of the students based on the core. And some fewer companies are coming into our department like SB MARINE. LARSON AND TURBO (L&T). So so companies are coming. And getting placed.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Being from a tier 4 college course structructed in standard order so that after completion of these courses student might be eligible for CAT exams for cracking IIM and for CA exam point of view it is also important. faculty:student was nearly 1:66 with full presence of students and which was very rare in our college time. Faculty were well qualified but most of them spend their time on B.Tech students. Exams were easy of because it is commerse.

Placement Experience:

If I talk about the college placement ad if anyone who is entering the college by thinking that he or she will receive very high packages it is not like that. The college invites good MNC that are market leaders but the packages offer are just average as the highest packages offered was around 10 LPA and the average package offer was just 5 LPA. But companies like ISRO, IRS, DRDO, Wipro, HCL, TCS, Infosys, Mahindra, Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, Satyam were part of the placement drive. The career opportune is very good.

Andhra University Visakhapatnam: 1 Answered Question

What is your review of Andhra University?

Sakshi Gupta
Ishaan Vasisth,M.Tech Chemical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay (2019)

One of my friends graduated from Andhra University. According to him, it is very reputed among students as well as professionals. But like every other institution, it also has its fair share of positives and negatives. Let me share them with you which you can analyze later on.

Pros:

  • It is one of the oldest universities in the country, hence has a great alumni network.
  • The student intake in each department is 30-60, which benefits the student-teacher interaction.
  • Each department has its own dedicated library consisting of several books, magazines, journals, and other study materials.
  • The campus is huge, covering 600 acres.
  • They have the biggest sports ground. Students are also provided with a gym and basketball court.
  • The entire campus is wifi enabled.

Cons:

  • The placements are average. The number of companies visiting the college has gradually decreased.
  • The lab equipment is not well maintained or upgraded.
  • Andhra University follows the age-old curriculum with little to no changes.
  • Students are told to put more emphasis on theoretical learning than practical.
  • Exams are mostly based on theories rather than practicals.

Overall, it is an above-average institution. It may not be like the IITs or NITs but still works well. It is suggested that you opt for this only if you have missed the opportunity to study in the IITs or NITs.
