About KLU MCA

KL University offers a two-year, full-time MCA at its Vaddeswaram campus near Vijayawada, in Guntur district. The course has four semesters and ends with a full-semester internship or project. KLU MCA Eligibility

You need a bachelor's degree with 55% marks or 5.5 CGPA. BCA, BSc, BCom and BA graduates can all apply. You also need a valid score in the KLU entrance test, AP ICET or NIMCET. If your degree marks are below 55%, you cannot apply for this course.

KLU MCA Cutoff

KLU does not publish a closing score for MCA. The fixed bar is 55% or 5.5 CGPA in your degree, plus a valid entrance score. After that, the KLU written test and interview decide the seat. If you have the marks and a score, you can go through selection.

KLU MCA Scholarships

KLU's merit scholarship cuts the tuition fee by 10% to 25%, which is INR 50,000 to INR 1.25 Lakhs over the course. The 25% tier needs 90% in your degree or an AP ICET rank up to 1,000. SC, ST and differently abled students get INR 10,000 a year if no merit tier applies. Only one scholarship applies at a time, and you keep it only with 8.0 CGPA and no backlogs.

Should you pick MCA at KL University?

This course suits graduates from any stream who want a software job and are ready to code from the first semester.

Pick it if:

You studied BCom or BA, not computer science: KLU takes any degree with 55% marks, and the core subjects start with Java and data structures.
