Question 1

What is V-SAT and is it mandatory for VFSTR B.Tech admission?

Accepted Answer

V-SAT (Vignans Scholastic Aptitude Test) is the universitys own entrance exam for B.Tech, B.Pharm, and other UG programmes. It is not mandatory. Candidates who have valid JEE Main scores or AP/TS EAMCET ranks can apply directly without appearing for V-SAT. V-SAT is the preferred route for candidates seeking VFSTR merit scholarships, since the top 50 V-SAT rankers receive a 75 percent tuition fee waiver.

Question 2

What is the V-SAT application fee and how many times can I appear?

Accepted Answer

The V-SAT 2026 application fee is INR 1,200. Candidates can appear multiple times during the January to April 2026 exam window. VFSTR considers the best score for rank and scholarship calculation.

Question 3

What is the minimum JEE Main percentile needed for VFSTR B.Tech?

There is no minimum JEE Main percentile cutoff for basic B.Tech eligibility at VFSTR. However, scholarship eligibility begins at the 70th percentile (10 percent waiver). Candidates with 95 plus percentile qualify for the 75 percent tuition fee scholarship.

Question 4

Question 6

Can I get into VFSTR M.Tech without a GATE score?

Accepted Answer

NRI and foreign national candidates must submit additional documentation as specified by the admissions office.
