KRMU MA FAQs
Ques. What is the difference between MA Applied Psychology and MA Clinical Psychology at KRMU?
Ans. MA Applied Psychology at KRMU focuses on the application of psychological principles to organisational, educational, and community settings, preparing graduates for HR, counselling, and applied research roles. MA Clinical Psychology is more oriented toward assessment and therapeutic interventions for mental health disorders. For RCI (Rehabilitation Council of India) registration and formal clinical practice in India, students typically need to follow Clinical Psychology with an RCI-recognised practical component, so it is important to verify the RCI recognition status of the Clinical Psychology programme at KRMU before enrolling.
Ques. Does KRMU MA Journalism and Mass Communication have industry placement support?
Ans. The School of Emerging Media and Creator Economy at KRMU offers MA JMC with a curriculum that includes digital media, video production, journalism ethics, and content creation. The higher fee at ₹2,95,000 reflects the media infrastructure and practical studio access involved in the programme. KRMU’s Gurgaon location near major media hubs like Delhi and Noida also facilitates internship access to news channels, digital media companies, and production houses.
Ques. Can I get admission to KRMU MA without the KREE test if I have a CUET-PG score?
Ans. Yes. KRMU accepts a valid CUET-PG percentile in lieu of the KREE in-house test. CUET-PG results (April 2026) are available before the KRMU application deadline of May 30, 2026, so candidates with CUET-PG scores can apply directly and skip the KREE test. A personal interview at the respective KRMU school remains mandatory regardless of the entrance route.
Ques. Is the MA from KRMU recognised for UGC NET eligibility?
Ans. Yes. K.R. Mangalam University is a UGC-recognised deemed university and MA graduates are eligible to appear for UGC NET or SET examinations in the respective subjects, which is a prerequisite for Lectureship or Junior Research Fellowship in Indian colleges and universities. Candidates should verify the specific subject papers available in UGC NET for their chosen MA specialisation.
Ques. What is the 10 percent tuition revision rule for the second year at KRMU?
Ans. KRMU reserves the right to revise tuition fees by up to 10 percent at the start of the second year. This means the second year fee can be up to ₹12,100 higher than the first year in the case of MA Economics (at ₹1,10,000/year base), or proportionally higher for other specialisations. Candidates should factor this into their financial planning when calculating the total cost of the 2-year programme.
