KRMU MBA FAQs
Ques. Is CAT mandatory for MBA admission at K.R. Mangalam University?
Ans. No. CAT is one of several accepted entrance scores but is not mandatory. KRMU accepts KREE PG (its own rolling online test), MAT, XAT, CMAT, and CUET-PG as alternatives. Candidates who have not appeared for CAT can apply through KREE PG, which is conducted on a rolling basis until May 30, 2026, with results within 48 hours. All routes require a personal interview as the final step.
Ques. What is the difference between MBA (Marketing) and MBA (Digital Marketing) at KRMU?
Ans. MBA (Marketing) at KRMU covers classical marketing concepts including brand management, consumer behaviour, sales strategy, and market research, along with core management subjects. MBA (Digital Marketing) focuses on online channels, SEO, SEM, social media marketing, content strategy, and analytics. Students with interest in traditional brand roles may prefer Marketing, while those targeting digital agency, e-commerce, or tech-sector marketing roles may find Digital Marketing more relevant.
Ques. Does KRMU MBA have industry tie-ups for placement support?
Ans. KRMU’s location in Gurgaon provides proximity to Delhi-NCR corporate hubs, and the university has a dedicated placement cell that facilitates campus interviews, industry visits, and internship connections for MBA students. The specialisations in Fintech, Digital Marketing, and IT are aligned with the sector strengths of Gurgaon’s corporate landscape. Actual placement outcomes vary by specialisation and student profile; candidates should request placement data from the admissions office before enrolling.
Ques. Is the KRMU MBA programme accredited by AACSB, AMBA, or NBA?
Ans. KRMU is a UGC-recognized state private university and its MBA is an AICTE-approved programme. International accreditations like AACSB or AMBA, or national accreditation from NBA, should be verified directly from the KRMU official website or with the School of Management and Commerce, as accreditation status can change and the information available publicly may not always be current.
Ques. Is the MBA Fintech specialisation at KRMU suitable for students with a non-finance background?
Ans. Yes. The MBA Fintech at KRMU is open to graduates from any discipline with a minimum 50% aggregate; a finance or technology background is not required for admission. However, students without a prior finance or technology background may find the early modules more demanding. KRMU’s curriculum typically includes bridge content for such students. Candidates with interest in financial technology careers will benefit from combining this programme with self-study in financial markets and basic programming concepts.
