- The most attractive thing about nit jamshedpur is it's placement record.Nit Jamshedpur provides 99% of placement to his students by the companies.
Dislikes
- One thing is that the infrastructure of nit jamshedpur is not that much developed although new building are in a continue process.
- There is not much place to explore in the college because of infrastructure. One have to go outside the campus for buying anything.

Nit jamshedpur is famous mainly for its placement records. one can easily see the placement data in the official site .
Front the second year onwards (5th sem) students are eligible for internship and in 4 th year student get placed in different companies.
Companies like Deloitte, Bajaj, Adobe, Amazon and many more visits in our college as recruiter.
The Highest package of this year is 83 lpa and the average package is around 10 lpa . 99% of students get placed each year approximately.
After my degree I think of to clear Gate exam and placed in ONGC and in B option I also do my coding work to get placed .

- The seniors ate very helpful and always ready to give guidance and help, we just have to approach them .
Dislikes
- The infrastructure is not tha good, the labs and library are very old. There is no big auditorium in the campus.
- The library is not open in the night after 9 pm the library gets closed.
- It is a open campus college , so the neighbour village boys also play in our downs ground.
Placement Experience:
The students generally gets internship offers from 6th sem and in the fourth year companies visits for the placements . Some big tech giants like atlassian, amazon, salesforce, adobe, microsoft visits our campus for placements. The highest and average package is 83lpa and 15lpa respectively and placement percentage is around 98% and mainly students gets sde role. I am also preparing for sde roles .

- college is fullfilled with food facilities , every corner has well maintaind food stalls , nescafe etc.
- college has AC equipped classrooms which is very necessary for such warm environment.
- college has very fascinating fests like URJA , CULFEST and OJASS . Celebrities from around India came to do concerts here .
Dislikes
- college failed to provide good water facility as not provide cold water in summers.
- college has not grown much trees in required areas like sideways of roads etc.
- college has not an auditorium which is very necessary for a college rankings.
Course Curriculum Overview:
our course is very much relevant to the currrent industry needs. our course get well trained faculties which knows very well how to teach students to excel in their career . comapnies are also very happy to our seniors that how they are well trained.

- Nice lush, green campus that allows us to wander all around.And there's also a messy café where you can go and chitchat with friends
- The academic curriculum is very destructive and course oriented it is It is made so that the students get complete access to the market environment and are fully acquainted to the placement competitive interviews and get placed in good companies

- The academic is little more enhanced so it is very descriptive.And little stressful

The placement of this institute is very high class as almostly. All the students get well placed with very high packages and the highest package is 82 lakhs per annum CTC and the average package is around 2225 lakhs wherever if I say, brunchwist branches get. A average package of almost 23 lakhs. And the core branches, they have an average package of 10 to 15 lakhs.

Placement Experience:
The placement of the college is top-notch. More than 250 companies visit our college per year. The average package of cse before the recession was 27 lpa but after the recession it is 20lpa. The placement percentage is also very good.

- Faculties are experienced and supportive, teaching methods are realistic and experimental.
- Campus and hostel Life are awesome and better quality facilities available.
- Higher education facilities and better experiment labs available for required engineering domains.

- Academic are tough and college timings are strict.
- In first yr the interaction between 1st yr student with senior is minimum.
Placement Experience:
Campus placement are better relative to other NIT wit approx 97 percent overall placement and approx 99 percent or above in mechanical branch with approx an average of 10 to 11 lpa.
From 7th semester students are eligible for campus placement. Several top companies of core and non core are visiting our college campus like atlassian, Deloitte, Tata steel, Tata motors and other Tata groups, JSW groups, L and T, other analytics and consultant companies with decent package and No. Of offer are like that ki each student can have atleast 1 or 2 placement.
Highest package in our college is 83 lpa by atlassian and average package of the college is 11 lpa overall.
Approx 97 percent placement in our college in totality. Mechanical is having approx 100 percent placement scene with avg of 11 lpa.
Plan of mine after placement is to join better company to start professional carrier.

- There several things which is liked by me. First one is the lecture building. The great Instrafructure and full of AC class rooms
- The hostel is very nice. Single room allotted to every student
- Some professors are very humble and caring
Dislikes
- Open campus; this the worst thing because the local people can come to hostel and college
- Mess food is good but they use so much oil in every dish
- Some professor are the worst, their behavior don't seem like a literate person.
Placement Experience:
Every year the ed tech company comes and hire the students by taking interviews. And some student want to do phd after the course. But As the technical Institute they give us less opportunity than btech.

- The main building of the college is very good. classes have the many facilities which are even not available in IITs. Classes are fully air conditioner.
- The other thing I like most extra curricular activities in my college they also worked on community skills and soft skills they conduct many event
- The nature of the professors also helping in nature.the college also conduct event on current problems in placement and they give us guidance
Dislikes
- The other thing I dislike the most welcome have to spend too much money to explore the city. College should work on it
- The last thing I dislike the most is 3 seater hostel rooms for girls. The safety for girls is good
Placement Experience:
The college placement of year 2024 is good in comparison of other colleges. It is 92 to 93 % . And in branch computer science it is 93%. In electrical engineering it is 92% in electronic and communication it is 91% and in civil engineering it is 90% for metallurgy it is 100% . Overall the placement is very good.after 6th semester the students are eligible for campus placement.amazon, Flipkart, Wipro , Infosys , Google , Microsoft many famous companies visit the college.my plan after getting degree to take a job . highest package is 82lakh ane lowest package is 5lakh.average package of all branches is 12.34lakh per annum.

- We have a large lush green campus.the campus is very clean and beautiful.
- Our new academic building is just breathtaking
- The alumini network of the college is among the best as it was made in 1962.
Dislikes
- Because of the college being very old the hostel facilities are not upto the mark
- The workshops and labs need to be renovated
- I did not like the attendance criteria .
Placement Experience:
Tej placenta of our college is among the best in case of NIT'S as even during the recession our college 's placement ratio and average and mean packages didn't suffered much downfall and several companies offered very large packages to students of our college

Our placement statistics is way better than any college our we can consider it as topmost even it's placement is in top 5 nit whether considering lower branches per above branches each type of branches have almost 100 Percent placement and the package is also very good

My friend recently graduated from NIT Jamshedpur. Here is her review.
Location: The campus is located in Adityapur, surrounded by industries. It is a bit away from Tatanagar Railway Station. Since Jamshedpur doesn’t have an airport the best way to reach the campus is from Ranchi via NH-33.
Infrastructure-wise: Both the hostels and the computer centers are revamped. The main buildings of the campus are still under further development but are expected to be in maintenance soon. However, the mega hostels, known as J & K, are an enhanced sight of the campus.
Academics
- The quality of professors or the methodology of their teaching is quite not up to the mark. Few professors of the institute somewhat still follow the old pedagogy and are sometimes not cooperative. On contrary, the newly appointed Ad-hoc faculties are supportive and are willing to guide students.
- Students of the institute perform well in competitive examinations. Many made it to IITs, IIMs, or various international institutes as well.
- The Central Workshop and laboratories, substantially Fluid, Thermodynamics, and Metallurgical are not quite well maintained.
Placement Reports:
A few major recruiting companies are (in respective branches) as follows.

- ECE: Amazon, Oracle Finance, Wipro, Mahindra Comviva

FIITJEE, Rao Academy, Career Point, etc, are examples of coaching institutes that recruited as well. The highest package received was 30 LPA while the average salary was 12 LPA
Extracurricular Activities:
The TechnoManagement fest, Ojass, and Cultural fest, Culfest are the major events of the institute. There are several automobile teams as well, like Team Phoenix, the aircraft team; Team Rays, the hybrid car team and Team Daksh, Off road car team.
