- Hostel in first year was very good and we get ample opportunities to interact with one another
- Mess food was also decent . Since mess was in hostel itself so it saved a lot of time
- Faculties were also very learned and supportive and they helped us to grow in our academics and also helped us in our projects.
Placement Experience:
The placement of our college and specially our branch is very good. In our branch, mechanical engineering, the average package is of 9 lakh and almost all (94%) students get placed. Core companies such as tata motors, tata steel, jusco, jsl, and lot other companies visit our campus for recruitment.

- Fests : The cultural, Technical and Sports aspect of the college is good and array of events hosted throughout the year.
- Hostels: The Single rooms with attached balcony and view of hills what much you can ask for.
- Academic and Placements: Academics is chi and ample opportunity to work on your interested domains. Placements are competitive with top NITS AND IITS, one of the best in the country specially for core.
Dislikes
- Summer Weather: During summer it's become to hot around the campus.
- Labs: Labs equipment are old generation want to hand over experience on the new generation equipments.
- Campus Management: the campus if more than 320+ acres still the management of campus is poor.
Placement Experience:
From semester 5th students are eligible for campus placements (internships with PPO) and from 7th to 6 MONTH + FTE/PPO. There are many companies visited campus over more than 400 and placement percentage is 97+ overall, Mechanical had a 98 percentage placement with Average of 10.5 Lakhs, common known companies are, Amazon, BNY, Atlassian, GE, Tata Steel, Flipkart, Paypal, ICICI, ZS, EXONN MOBIL etc.
Highest package made is : 86 Lakhs Annual
I want to ppt for higher studies or Entrepreneurship after the degree.

- Our campus is open campus which is not good at all
- The mess facilities in terms of quality needs improvement
- Lack of maintenance is there in terms of grasses and wastelands .
Placement Experience:
Campus placements are very good and internship programs also.
Actually most of the students joins NIT Jamshedpur because of its placement history only . The college have a great alumni network and a tag of jamshedpur city also as Tata .
There is 100% placements in Mechanical branch and the average package is around 13LPA .

- I loved the hostel facility of the college and the annual fests of the college.
- The best thing about NIT jamshedpur is it's on campus placement which was also the main reason for me to choose this college.
- Helpful seniors are there to guide you at every point of time.
Dislikes
- Some of the professors are a little arrogant. Sometimes there behaviour is quite irritating.
- The professors of the ECE department do not give good grades to the students as compared to other departments.
- 75 percent attendance criteria has been made necessary which does not seem fair
Placement Experience:
NIT jamshedpur provides one of the best on-campus placements.
The average package is abover 10 lakhs every year and the placement percentage is also very good.
I'm from the electronics and communication engineering department where the average package was 22.5 lakhs this year with 100 percent placement.
The students are eligible for the placements from the 7th semester.
Many companies visit the college for various tech roles and non tech roles. The number of offers made is much greater than the number of students.
Thus there is more than enough opportunity to everyone to grab an on campus placement.
The highest package this year was 84 lakhs per annum which was given by a company known as ATLASSIAN.
In the top branches such as Computer science, electronics, electrical around 100 percent placement is there.
In the core branches also the placement percentage is around 95 percent with a very decent package as compared to any other NITs or IITs.

- the main attraction of this college is the placements apart from the non core branches the core branches also have a lot of opportunities the students from non core branches can also get placements in good companies and with a very good package.
- campus life is good here there are many sports facilities many events technical as well as cultural take place here so you get as much as recreational activities as you want
- regular classes take place the professors are well educated
Dislikes
- maximum area of the college is not used till now there many infrastructures can be built and over all infra of the college can be better
- sometimes the mess food is not that good
- girls get a triple sharing room they do not get a single room

ment opportunities are quite good companies start visiting during your 5th semester for internships and from 7th semester they start coming for your placements. there are placement opportunities in all the three sectors that is core non core and analytics

Placement Experience:
Placement is quite good enough. All all the students who score world or did any circular activities got most of the placements Maine companies like TCS Tata common companies come here for the placement and the placement percentage are greater than 93 to 94%

- Freedom is far better than other collages
- Out of nit there are lot of visiting places

- Infrastructure is not good and need to develop
- Faculty members are queit strict and I don't like them
Placement Experience:
Placements are decent and satisfied. Almost placement percentage is more than 90% and average package is more than 15 lpa . For my course ece it is 24 lpa. Many students are choosing this collage due to placements.

- The placements that are on campus and off campus.
- The continuous events that take place. You won't feel bored at all.
- The helpful seniors that i got, especially in my branch.
Dislikes
- The campus. It needs to be developed because right now it's bad.
- Some of the seniors have too much attitude.
- Some professors are not good. They comment on your personal lives.
Placement Experience:
The placements in NIT Jamshedpur is one of the best known facts all around. NIT Jamshedpur has one of the best placements on campus. People get really good placements off campus as well. This year the highest package was 90lakhs by a student in CSE.

- It is an open campus so it’s unsafe after dark to be out alone
- Hostel and mess facilities leave little to like
- Bootlicking is predominant around the college
Placement Experience:
Students get start getting placed on campus in their 7th semester for engineering jobs. These placements are coordinated by the training and placement cell of the institute. There are 27 LPA's and it is common for computer science students to get around 35 LPA's. For girls it is easier to get placements in companies for they have a girls quota.Companies like Amazon and google come and always take students from this college.

My friend recently graduated from NIT Jamshedpur. Here is her review.
Location: The campus is located in Adityapur, surrounded by industries. It is a bit away from Tatanagar Railway Station. Since Jamshedpur doesn’t have an airport the best way to reach the campus is from Ranchi via NH-33.
Infrastructure-wise: Both the hostels and the computer centers are revamped. The main buildings of the campus are still under further development but are expected to be in maintenance soon. However, the mega hostels, known as J & K, are an enhanced sight of the campus.
Academics
- The quality of professors or the methodology of their teaching is quite not up to the mark. Few professors of the institute somewhat still follow the old pedagogy and are sometimes not cooperative. On contrary, the newly appointed Ad-hoc faculties are supportive and are willing to guide students.
- Students of the institute perform well in competitive examinations. Many made it to IITs, IIMs, or various international institutes as well.
- The Central Workshop and laboratories, substantially Fluid, Thermodynamics, and Metallurgical are not quite well maintained.
Placement Reports:

- ECE: Amazon, Oracle Finance, Wipro, Mahindra Comviva

FIITJEE, Rao Academy, Career Point, etc, are examples of coaching institutes that recruited as well. The highest package received was 30 LPA while the average salary was 12 LPA
Extracurricular Activities:
The TechnoManagement fest, Ojass, and Cultural fest, Culfest are the major events of the institute. There are several automobile teams as well, like Team Phoenix, the aircraft team; Team Rays, the hybrid car team and Team Daksh, Off road car team.
