Placement Experience:

Placement wise it's a good college but the crowd is to high but our college takes a class every year and train the students like soft skill or project management skills and make ready the students for the corporate world the main companies are Delhivery, zomato, tcs, hcl etc. If your not placed in any companies you have a good chance of getting hired throughout out side campus because electronic city the IT hub is nearer to the campus approx 50 km from main campus and 5 km from campus 3

I was kind of skeptic about tourism and hospitality at first but as I got into it I found it very interesting and something that would be a flexible job option and the exams are easy given the teaching methods are effective and the timings are perfect to finish the exams

BA, Psychology
Reviewed on May 29, 2024(Enrolled 2023)

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am writing this review based on the course that I am currently enrolled in (BA. Psychology, Optional English). All subjects here are theory hours plus Lab research hours separately. Exams are also held separately for practical and theory even for social science or humanities subjects. For psychology we've practical exams right from 1st semester, where we are given an idea on how conducting experiments work. For Optional English and other subjects like journalism, etc., we will have to submit a research portfolio and have a viva at the end of every semester as a part of practical lab exam. In every semester all the students will have mid semester exams and finals (practicaland theory). Throughout the semester we will have 2 CIA and other assignments for our core subjects as well as Language 1 and 2, along with skill enhancement courses and open electives.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I love psychology, it has soo many interesting things to learn about human and animals as well. Disorders, about brain, development of a child, behaviour and so on. Whereas optional English is confusing and tough but we're learning new things so it's kind of fine. The timings of exam is 2 hours in mid semester and 3 hours in end semester. It's pretty reasonable but sometimes we won't be able to complete it on time which is kind of the problem.

According to the reviews online, Bangalore University (BU) is an average university and is known to be deteriorating day by day.

  • Students are irritated by their evaluation system.
  • They tend to check the answer sheets carelessly.
  • The faculty never completes the syllabus.
  • The announcement of results is delayed quite often.
  • The condition of the campus is deteriorating and no action is taken to solve it.
  • There is a lack of core technical subjects in B.Com.

It is suggested that you do not go for BU, as it won't provide learning and understanding courses, topics and the concepts. It will be better if you opt for VTU instead.
