Christ University Admission 2026 is conducted through the university’s own entrance and selection framework. Christ (Deemed to be University), Bengaluru, runs its own entrance test — ET-CU (also called CUET) — for most UG and PG programmes, making it fully independent of centralised counselling bodies such as JoSAA or MCC. The MBA programme requires a valid score from CAT, XAT, CMAT, ATMA, MAT, GMAT FOCUS, or GRE, followed by a university-level selection round.

Admission Update:
  • UG Programmes (BBA, B.Com, BA, BCA, B.Sc, B.Tech, BHM, BSW, B.Ed): Session 3 entrance test scheduled for 7 May 2026. Application deadline for Bengaluru campus: 30 March 2026 (Session 2 closed). Session 3 applications open.
  • MBA: Applications for Session II open until 6 May 2026. Selection process includes MP, PI, and GD.
  • PhD (June 2026 cohort): Applications closed 7 December 2025. Next cohort dates to be announced.
  • Christ University conducts its own ET-CU entrance test — NTA CUET is not accepted for most programmes.
  • All ET-CU sessions are conducted in remote-proctored online CBT mode. Rescheduling of exam slot is not permitted under any circumstances.
  • Final-year Class 12 students may apply with Class 10 and Class 11 marks. They must submit Class 12 marks before completing admission formalities.
  • SC and ST candidates need a minimum of 45% in Class 12 for UG programmes, against 50% for General category.
  • Law programmes (BA LLB Hons, BBA LLB Hons) use a separate entrance — CULEE — with a lower eligibility floor of 45% for all categories.
  • A separate NRI and International Selection Process exists. Admit cards for the NRI route were issued on 6 May 2026.
  • Admission fee is payable within 5 working days of the offer letter; failing to pay forfeits the seat.

Christ University Admission Portal 2026: christuniversity.in/admission-home

NOTE on Direct Admission: Christ University does not have a publicly notified management quota for merit-route seats. The officially recognised alternate route is the NRI and Foreign National quota, open to NRIs, PIOs, OCIs, SAARC nationals, and other international applicants. Candidates seeking NRI quota admission apply through a separate selection process on the same official portal. There is no documented general management quota for Indian resident candidates.

Christ University UG Selection Criteria

Christ University UG admission selection follows four stages. All stages carry weight in the final offer decision. A strong entrance test score alone does not guarantee a seat.

  • Stage 1 — ET-CU (Entrance Test): Online CBT, 120 MCQs, 90 minutes. Sections vary by programme: English Language, General Knowledge, Reasoning, and subject-specific sections (Accounting, Mathematics, Science, or Humanities as applicable). Each correct answer earns 1 mark. Each incorrect answer carries a penalty of 0.25 marks. No deduction for unattempted questions.
  • Stage 2 — Skill Assessment (SA): Written test conducted at the university campus. It tests academic knowledge and technical skills relevant to the programme applied for.
  • Stage 3 — Micro Presentation (MP): Candidate is given a topic on the spot. A 90-second oral presentation is required. Tests communication ability and quick thinking.
  • Stage 4 — Personal Interview (PI): A panel interview covering academic background, co-curricular achievements, career goals, and critical thinking. Final selection is holistic and considers performance across all four stages along with Class 10 and Class 12 academic records.

As per a Careers360 Discussion on Christ University admission, students noted that the entrance test score alone is not decisive. Performance in the Micro Presentation and Personal Interview carries significant weight. Candidates who scored well in ET-CU but presented poorly in the PI round were not offered seats.

Christ University law admission is entirely in-house.
