The college and the place is very good , it's a very student friendly place and the people here are quite good
Faculty are really helpful and approachable and encouraging.
Dislikes
Language differences might be an issue as here there many south indians so I feel left out whenever they start talking among themselves in their language
Placement Experience:
This course is of 3year and a year internship after internship we can apply for the jobs there is no campus placement offers
But with experience and name of our deemed University I think we can get a job easily
For better options we should pursue masters too
Thing I liked most is the faculty, we have very educated and reputed professor and few of them were recently awarded top 2% researchers all over the world.
Second best thing about the college is it's infrastructure that is at par with many labs and fully functional instruments of best quality plus the startup hub helping people chase their dream and the research centre with experienced faculty to help.
Third good thing is the location and vast culture of student hailing from foreign countries as well. Manipal being student run economy is very Beautiful place to spend your next 4 years with best college life.
Dislikes
Apart from having experienced faculty, one thing it lacks is the variation in culture. Most of the faculty is from south side creating lack of cultural difference.
Second thing I hate is the size of campus, being such a huge campus it's very hard to go from one point to another as it's situated on slope.
Third thing I hate about this college is 75% attendance criteria which is followed very strictly and sometimes genuine person has to suffer because of this.
Student Snaps:
Placement Experience:
7th student semester becomes eligible for campus placement. Many companies visited our campus with BlackRock being one of them and the placements are still going on for this year and previous year data are available on their website with highest being 51 LPA in Microsoft by CCE student. Highest package for my branch ( EEE ) was around 21 last year while average being around 7-8 LPA. Around 80% students got on campus placement offers. My plans after degree is to pursue masters.
There is a lot of exposure and less striction. Hostel intimes is 10:30 for 1st year and 11:30 for 2nd,3rd and 4th year.
Courses are relevant to current time and interesting
Girls to boys ratio is also good. No girl would feel that they are in
Dislikes
Hilly areas and distance from hostel to academic block is a lot and the gold cart service is not free and expensive

Campus placement is so so. There are lot of good companies that visit MIT manipal, which includes Uber, Goldman Sachs, western digital corps, Accenture, ITC, Nvidia. Even for internships there are many good companies that visit. Placement packages offered is usually ranging from 9lpa to 41 lpa
The college has been consistently ranked under top10 medical college for many decades.
The faculties and infrastructure is really top notch.
The hospital is very good in handling all the patients properly and systematically.
Dislikes
The course fee is too high for a middle class student.
The class is filled with rich students so if you have less money you can feel inferior.
The rankings which the college claims sometimes sound gimmicky.
Course Curriculum Overview:
The MBBS comprises 19 Subjects which is vast.
Knowing so many things make you not only knowledgeable but also you have very important role in society.
This course is filled with practical knowledge which are compulsory to get. This gives you skills which only a few people can have. So you already stand in society.
The newer changes that has been made by NMC has reduced the time for studies. It was less exhausting before.
Exams are properly placed and arranged . They are well divided into theories, practicals, internal examinations, certification for skills, etc. Last year has more papers now.
placements are good many company come here to hire people even large companies
a good chunk gets placed as a large number of offers are made this year the highest package reached 40lakhs
average package overall was 12 lpa
The infrastructure and the opportunities available to pursue research and other competitions even pet projects are greatly encouraged and even financed by the college
Hostels are very well managed and the curfew timings are not too strict
The course is well curated and professors are competent and helpful
Dislikes
It rains nearly everyday even if for just a little bit
Newer hostels are farther away from the academic blocks
Course Curriculum Overview:
Computer and communications engineering was attractive to me as it has both core subjects and mostly computer science related subjects as well. And in a world with a growing network having background in networking would be great. The curriculum is as relevant as any other college no special modifications are made to the curriculum provided by AICTE.
Exams are held pretty frequently with assignments and internals every other week, mid terms are held twice in a year. The exams are moderately difficult.
Good clinic exposure because they have 2 hospitals for ugs
All the facilities are experienced and well reputed all over india
Dislikes
Only in first year there is a proper campus after that every thing is scattered
Need of a transport vechile and it's raining for live 3 mints straight
Course Curriculum Overview:
The curriculum is very good as there are simulations and we are posted in real hospitals we interact with real patients and it prepares us well for the real world and the facilities are doctors themselves
The duration of classes and distribution of subjects over all years can be improved
There is an exam every 3-4 months and difficult levels are medium
College campus, library is so good. You get different kinds of books, big quiet reading environment to study
Teaching methods: through powerpoint presentations in smart classrooms also using boards when necessary
People around are so nice especially students from different departments. They make everyone feel like home
Dislikes
So much politics in the department especially Department of Optometry
Chennai faculties coming and settling in this institution for more money which led to less employment opportunities to localities here
They say they'll give placements while admission but it's all a lie & no one helps. You have to help yourself & get a job by yourself
Student Snaps:
Course Curriculum Overview:
1. They gave each of so much presentations in our master's degree not thinking everyone doesn't want to go for teaching.
2. We paid 3lakhs/ year just to prepare, make presentation ourselves & present in class. And faculties take all the money. Thinking just because we're master's students we are supposed to know everything
3. Timing of exams it's mostly 1 hr for sessionals & 3 hrs for finals
Manipal campus life itself is the offers the best student life
The campus has a good security with good campus patrolling
Best resources for learning and great exposure for experiences
Dislikes
Very less number of holidays, only national holidays included
No bonding between the colleges under the universities
Academic schedule is too quick and tight
Placement Experience:
For cvt after Bsc course and 1 year internship students become eligible for placements
Highest payment in foreign countries being around 1 lakh per month
Especially students of mahe enjoy advantage on placement because of the amount of knowledge and experience every mahe students have
We cannot go to hostel or homework evenw when class is over we have to stay in Library
We can't have a free period without the teacher coming over to take the free period
Course Curriculum Overview:
I only chose this course because I love to study thw anatomy and functions of heart . I thought it' was fun but now that I am studying it , I am suffering . My future is gone realisation hit me late but I m trying to live with what I choose
