Should you pick B.Des Graphics at Lovely Professional University?
This course suits students who want to design for brands, print and screens and are happy on a very large campus in a small Punjab town.
Pick it if:
Your LPUNEST score is high: last year a score of 160 out of 200 gave the 50% scholarship, which takes INR 5.60 Lakhs off the fee.
You want pay that keeps rising: the NIRF median for LPU's 4-year courses went up three years in a row, to INR 7.5 LPA.
You want a big campus with many courses: LPU teaches design next to engineering, business and fashion, so you can take an open minor outside design.
You want to choose your own room: LPU offers rooms from one to eight beds, and a shared four-bed room costs INR 83,700 a year.
Skip it if:
You studied Class 12 without Maths: the official rule asks for Physics, Maths and English, so get written approval from the Admission Cell before you pay.
You want the pay for this course before you join: LPU does not publish it, and the INR 7.5 LPA median covers all its 4-year courses.
You want small classes: LPU is very large, with 3,853 students in its last 4-year UG batch, so ask how many share your design studio.
You want studio internships in a big city: the campus is on the highway near Phagwara, so most studio internships mean a summer in a metro.
Counsellor's advice
If your LPUNEST score reaches 125 out of 200, take the seat and pay early to lock the scholarship. If you did not study Maths in Class 12, pay nothing until the Admission Cell says yes in writing.

Chitkara costs INR 50,000 more and its median pay is higher, but LPU places a bigger share of its batch. If you can pay more for the higher median, pick Chitkara; if a scholarship matters, take LPU.
In short
UPES charges INR 2.88 Lakhs more in tuition alone, adds a separate academic service fee and has a lower median pay. If the fee matters to you, take LPU; pick UPES only if you prefer its Dehradun campus.
In short
Sharda costs a little more, pays a much lower median and places a smaller share of its batch. If both give you a seat, take LPU.
In short
Manipal Jaipur charges INR 4.28 Lakhs less in tuition and its median pay is the same. If you have no big LPUNEST scholarship, pick Manipal Jaipur; if you get the 50% scholarship, LPU costs less.

FAQs on Lovely Professional University B.Des Graphics
Straight answers to what students ask before they decide.
Is B.Des Graphics at LPU worth the fee?▾
It can be, if you get a good LPUNEST scholarship. The full fee without hostel is INR 11.60 Lakhs, and a 50% scholarship takes INR 5.60 Lakhs off it. LPU does not publish pay for this course alone, so ask the placement cell for the last design batch's offers before you pay.
What job will I get after this course?▾
Most graphic design graduates start as graphic designers, visual designers or brand designers in agencies and company design teams. LPU does not publish pay for this course, and its INR 7.5 LPA median covers all 4-year courses. Build a strong portfolio through the four years, because design firms hire on your portfolio more than on your marks.
Who should not take this course at LPU?▾
Skip it if you did not study Maths in Class 12, or if you want a small campus. The official rule asks for Physics, Maths and English. LPU had 3,853 students in its last 4-year UG batch, so classes are large. If either of these matters to you, speak to the Admission Cell before you pay.
Should I take this seat if my LPUNEST score is low?▾
Yes, if you clear the Class 12 marks rule, but the fee will be higher. A score below 100 out of 200 gets no LPUNEST scholarship on the last cutoffs, so you pay the full INR 11.60 Lakhs. Write a later LPUNEST phase first if you think you can raise your score.
Is this course good for higher studies in design?▾
Yes, a four-year B.Des lets you apply for a master's in design in India or abroad. Those programmes pick students on their portfolio and entrance test, not on the college name. Keep your best projects from every semester and take an open minor if it adds a skill you need.
Should I choose graphics or another design course at LPU?▾
Pick graphics if you enjoy drawing, type, layouts, posters and screens. Pick a product or fashion course at LPU if you like making objects or clothes. The fee and the entry rules are set per course, so check the programme page of the other course before you decide.
Is a very large campus right for a design student?▾
It depends on how you learn. LPU teaches design next to engineering, business and fashion, which gives you many clubs and an open minor. But studios can be crowded, so ask how many students share a design studio and a faculty member before you join.
Should I wait a year to get a better scholarship?▾
Usually no. The scholarship depends on your LPUNEST score, and LPU holds more than one test phase in the same year. Write a later phase to raise your score instead of losing a year. Pay the admission fee only after your best score is in.
How do I get admission to this course?▾
Register for LPUNEST on the LPU admission site, or apply with a JEE Main or CUET score. Then choose B.Des Graphics in online counselling and pay the admission fee to confirm the seat. Report on campus with your original mark sheets, or you lose the seat.
What is the full fee for the course?▾
The full 4-year fee is INR 11.60 Lakhs without hostel. With a shared four-bed room and the four-meal mess it comes to INR 16.75 Lakhs. Both totals sit in the fee block above, and the toggle there shows what the hostel adds.
Can I get my fee back if I leave?▾
Only if you leave early. For the 2025 batch, the refund shrank step by step through August and stopped after 15 Sep 2025. Read the refund table on the LPU fee page for your year before you pay the first semester fee.
The college is well-regarded for its supportive faculty, who assist students with exams and other academic issues. The examination system is modernized with technology, though some students use external platforms like Coursera and Udemy for additional learning. The university excels in offering placement opportunities, with eligibility starting after the 5th semester. Top recruiters include Adobe, Cognizant, Wipro, Amazon, and TCS, with about 98% of students securing jobs. The average salary package is approximately 10 LPA, with many offers exceeding 8 LPA.
The university also provides soft skills and personal enhancement classes to boost career prospects. Internship opportunities, often with stipends between 15,000 and 20,000, are available at companies such as Paytm, Dream 11, and Amazon. Students have also secured positions or internships with major companies like Google and Microsoft due to strong industry tie-ups. The university offers scholarships based on LPU Nest exam results, high school performance, sports achievements, and national test results.
For example, a 30% scholarship reduces a 90,000 per semester fee to 63,000, plus a 5,000 examination fee, totaling 68,000. A 50% scholarship lowers the semester fee to 60,000. Loan options are available for fee payment. Despite some government scholarships, there is feedback indicating a demand for more scholarship options. The overall fee structure is considered affordable, especially for design courses, compared to other universities. The university also supports entrepreneurship and placements in reputable companies, reinforcing its value in career advancement.

Which is better for Computer Science LPU or Amity Gwalior?
SatnamB.Tech CSE student at LPU
I am currently pursuing B.Tech CSE at LPU. According to me, LPU is one of the best institutes for BTech in Computer Science because of its excellent academics, top placements, scholarship facility, and more.
LPU was ranked 50 by NIRF in 2023 for its Engineering courses. Other than that, LPU has attained the 3rd rank because of the coding expertise demonstrated by its students on the International Coding Platform- HackerEarth. More than 90 students of B.Tech Computer Science at LPU cleared the TCS National Qualifier Test (NQT). The highest package offered to B.Tech Computer Science students at LPU is around INR 64 LPA, and the average package is around INR 14.97 LPA.
I don’t know much about Amity Gwalior, but LPU is definitely a good choice for B.Tech Computer Science.
Which will be better for a BCA, IMS Ghaziabad or LPU?
NehaBCA student at LPU
I am a second year BCA student at LPU. I chose LPU over IMS Ghaziabad for BCA because of the following reasons:
LPU has received the highest A++ grade by NAAC.
LPU has a better placement record than IMS Ghaziabad. According to the LPU placement report 2023, 100% BCA batch got placed. The highest salary package offered to the LPU BCA students was INR 34.24 LPA during that year.
According to the IMS Ghaziabad placement report 2022, around 25% of students in the BCA program got placed, and the highest salary package offered to the BCA students was INR 10 LPA.
LPU offers BCA, BCA Hons, and BCA Big Data Analytics in a tie-up with IBM. This offers a great industrial exposure to students.
LPU offers scholarships to its students based on their percentage in the qualifying exam or LPUNEST or in the form of financial aid, and more.
LPU offers various skill development programs, professional training, and opportunities for industrial exposure to its students.
When a student chooses a university, they must consider factors such as academic environment, faculty, placement opportunities, ranking, industrial exposure, professional training, infrastructure, etc. So according to these factors, I can say BCA at LPU is better than IMS Ghaziabad.
