- The college campus is on its top notch it bares 6 accadamic blocks including other blocks and it's so good and well maintained and the garden is also very clean and beautiful everything is well organized
- Getting some positive feedback from family and friends so i join this course.
- Faculty is really good at teaching and i trust that it will improve my knowledge.
Dislikes
- other than that the college has no other things that i disliked
- the Campus of Humanities department is quite small
- wifi is not functional and cannot be used

Actually I m finding difficult to connect my current students with my future life as the teachers are just into books and not guiding regarding the future works.This the reason i cannot add any more to this point.

- Compared to larger universities, SMU offers a narrower range of courses and specializations within the Humanities and Social Sciences department
- Even though the institued is situated in a scenic location but very close to road area which isnt helpful during class hour.
Course Curriculum Overview:
When pursuing my Bachelors degree i got to know more about the subject and got influenced to continue with the course. The course teaches us so many things about the Functioning, regulating, and embodiment of the government, which is intresting and helpful in day to day life.
The study doesn't need any improvements rather it would be better the politicians who run our government should be exposed with the course's curriculum.
Exam is held twice a year in Manipal excluding the internal exams and the weekly or monthly tests.

- Placement opportunities (only 20,-25% students got placed)
- Mess food (the worst meal I've ever eaten in life)
Placement Experience:
The campus placement is very poor only 20 to 25% student got placed. The company that visited will take an average of 5 to 6 students. The highest package that was provided in this year was 12 lpa and the lowest was 3 lpa.
Some of the companies that visited are Microsoft, Dell, EY, PWC, elewayte etc

- Teachers teaching style is very advanced
- Pratical lab facilities are very useful for those who cant afford laptop
- Learning n teaching methods are very helpful

- Timing of class is very early which make us to get up early
- Fees are very high for poor student..so lots of friend stop learning at the middle of semester
- Surrounding area are very disturbing sometimes class is going

- Campus location is very good. The view and the whether is soo good . And in campus it is so peaceful
- If I talk about the crowd. It is okay as compared to other colleges. In smit there is less crowd and you can easily grab the opportunity in the college
- In my course, bca the faculty is soo good they teach you with basics and help you whenever you ask them.. teachers are helpful
Dislikes
- In mountain area you will not get shopping malls near your campus, therefore you have to go for online mode
- In college every two to three weeks you have exams
- The hostel food in not so good . I'll prefer you guys to go for pg near the campus
Course Curriculum Overview:
-So in 12th I was not having maths and I want to learn the coding skills therefore I opt for Bca course
- In BCA we study only coding related subjects and it's same like btech just the difference is the name of the course
- the area is also good and wifi campus
- In every 2-3 weeks you will have exams.
In each semester you will have to appear for 2 written session exams(50 marks) and 2 quiz (5marks) and at last the main semester end exam.
If I talk about the exam level it's easy only, all the syllabus is from the topic teacher has discussed in the classes and questions in previous years question paper.

- I love the Mountains, Rivers, and the weather of the college
- College are surrounded with beautiful mountains

- I didn't like some faculty member like some teachers
- I doesn't like the some rules of the college like 75% Attendance
- And I also doesn't like the 5 marks are given by attendance
Placement Experience:
Placement value of the college are good in the last year many students from btech have been placed in Microsoft and many companies are come us to visit our college for hiring students like Amazon, Wipro, TCS and many other companies

- The environment for studies is very good as it is covered with mountains and helps one to concentrate in studies.
- Third thing which I liked was the environment surrounding the college which makes studying more concentrating.
- The faculty in the college as per my seniors and my own observation way too good because they focus a lot on curriculum and practical learning.
Dislikes
- The campus is a bit small and have a few shops inside it.
- For any important needs one needs to get out of the campus which is again a bit far.
- There is no more such dislikes as it is overall a good college.
Placement Experience:
After 5th semester the students are eligible for campus placements opportunity. And the placement opportunity is above 95% . Various companies such as Dell, Infosys, Infotech, Wipro, Amazon, etc. come for placement and offer around 3.5 lakhs to 5 lakhs of packages to the students. The highest package offered for BCA students are 7 lakhs and average is 4.5 lakhs. My plans after getting the degree is to get a join to get an experience and then pursue MBA or MCA.

- Dislike is the they did not help in finding internship

Tsc ion, byjus, kelvin & calin, lava mobile etc
The highest package in the department 35 lac per ann
7.7 cgpa is must for every student for sitting in interviews

- Despite being a private college, the administration is very strict about the academics
- College is very research oriented and encourages students at every stage
- College conducts all kind of fests all throughout the year

- Being on hilly area there is some accessibility issues particularly in winter and monsoon season
- The college is pretty strict about the attendance and there is serious repercussions

IT department is one of the most demanding course in our college because it was having more job oppourtinities after cse department
IT department exam is very easy comapared to other departments not extra coding like in cse

I have a few friends from Sikkim Manipal University and according to them, it is not a great place for innovative ideas and opportunities. It is a good option if you just want a degree. Here are some of the perks of joining the institute.
- There are over 15 clubs at SMIT. The club culture is quite good at the institute. If you want you can start your own club too.
- It has a great geographic landscape. There are awesome places that you can visit.
- It helps in the all-round development of students.
Overall SMIT is not a bad option for distance learning.
