Karunya University Placement 2026: Highest Package, Average Package, Top Recruiters

If you are talking about service-based placement then, you will have good opportunities at Karunya. Many companies like Accenture, IBM, TechMahindra, Cognizant visit the campus placements. The average salary offered by service-based companies ranges from 2.7 LPA - 3.5 LPA. 

However, there are very few product-based companies visiting the campus placements. Some of the product-based companies that visit the campus placements are Nutanix, Netapp, etc. These companies also take a limited number of students, 1-5 at maximum. 

Also don’t expect reputed MNCs like Microsoft, Facebook, etc. 

Overall, Karunya offers decent placements. Around 80-85% of students get placed, every year. The highest CTC offered last year was 25 LPA.

There are no placements for food technology at Karunya University. I personally know a few alumni of the university who were offered to shift their branch from food technology to any other branch because there were only 14 of them in that batch.

If you are really interested in food technology then, I would suggest you make a plan for higher studies before taking admission in the food technology branch of Karunya University. Also, do not rely on the university for placements. They only focus on placements of IT, CSE students. Overall, the average CTC offered at the institute is 3-4 LPA.

A lot of my friends studied at Karunya University. According to them, Karunya University is very popular and reputed with great placement opportunities.

• To be shortlisted for campus placements, you should maintain your CGPA around 7-8.8, as this score is good and safe for campus placements. 
• Also, you must score more than 60% in both class 10th and class 12th. 
• You should have very good knowledge and understanding of the subjects as many companies check your aptitude skills more than theoretical knowledge. 
• To get a job in core companies the CGPA must be above 7.5.
• Some popular IT companies such as Wipro, Accenture, Infosys, CTS, TCS, etc. want students with CGPA more than 7. They will take the aptitude skills test. You will have to focus more on your aptitude to get better offers. 
• Focus on your communication skills along with your aptitude and maintain a CGPA of more than 7 to successfully get selected. 
• If you can maintain a CGPA more than 8, it is even better to get shortlisted at core companies. 
• To secure higher CGPA, study well during your first and second semester, as these two semesters carry more weightage in overall CGPA than the rest of the semesters. 

Hence, you can get easily selected in campus placements if you can maintain a good CGPA and possess very good knowledge and understanding of your subjects. 

My friend is a mechanical engineer graduate from Karunya University. According to him, the placement stats of Karunya University is quite good especially for departments like CSE and IT. Other than these two branches, other branches barely get core companies in the placements. 

According to the average package offered at Karunya University generally ranges from 3.25 LPA to 3.5 LPA. The highest CTC offered is 25 LPA. Some of the major recruiters at the institute are Infosys, Byju’s, Amazon, Accenture, etc. 

This should give you an idea about the placement scenario at the institute. 

Karunya University is the best in terms of exposure and infrastructure which is required by the student in the overall development and to attain a good job. 

• Karunya University allows all the students to sit in the placements, be it Master's or Bachelor's, everyone is welcome. 
• The core mechanical companies coming for the on-campus placement are less and therefore that can be a matter of concern. 
• If a student is applying for a master's, then that branch or course needs to be taken up wisely, according to the student's interest as it would be helpful for their future.

Therefore, you can choose any course at Karunya University based on your interests and plan. If you feel mechanical engineering would be suitable for you, go for it, as Karunya is overall a decent university.

This is a very subjective question.

• Developers in IT companies such as Infosys and TCS can expect a salary in the range of INR 4 – 6 LPA with this work experience.
• Developers in small product companies can expect a salary of INR 5 – 8 LPA.
• Developers in large product companies with a study background from any tier-1 or tier-2 college can expect a salary of around INR 9 – 12 LPA.

Generally, IITs are considered Tier-1 colleges, NITs are considered Tier-2 colleges, and all other private engineering colleges are considered tier-3 colleges. Also, college ranks do not really matter during placements or later in your work life. It is only valuable till your college life.

With the economy getting stagnant due to the pandemic-related slowdowns, opportunities are very limited and the existing roles also have a very limited scope of any major salary hike. So make your expectations accordingly.
