Admission:

I wanted to pursue my m.tech after completing my graduation from any college. Then I've heard of an integrated m.tech course which we can complete b.tech and m.tech within 5 years. so why not and VIT is a great college with students from all over India and overseas, so I thought why not.

Admission:

I choose microbiology for this course. The admission process is on a merit basis. They provide us a rank and according to that rank, they provide us sit. If you are within that rank then you are lucky or else you have to wait for the next round if there is any vacancy. After getting admitted they will conduct an English Proficiency Test (EPT).

Admission:

I got admission into VIT Vellore by giving the VITEEE (Vit engineering entrance exam). I opted for "computer science and engineering" as it was a high paying career field. The factors which made me choose this Institute are: 1. No other option 2. Reputed in the country 3. High placement statistics The steps followed for admission are 1. Complete the 12th boards with at least 75% 2. Get a rank less than 100000 in VITEEE 3. Attend counseling and book a seat in a branch based on the availability of seats. The counseling process takes around June.

Placement Experience:

Almost everyone bags an offer by the end of the placement season. People who have acquired very fewer skills still land up with a job and if you have been disciplined enough to work on yourself, you will pretty well land up with more than one offer. Average placement ranges from 3.5-4.5 LPA while the highest may go as high as 30 LPA.

Placement Experience:

The quality of placement is good. The placement cell is active enough to provide you with opportunities. Around 70-80% of students get placed on average. The highest package went around 34 lacs to a CSE graduate.

Regarding placements from the things I have seen I can say well most of the people get places but only a few get into the companies that they are studying for 4 years, in other words getting into core companies in any fields are tough.
