SVSU Meerut MBA FAQs
Ques. What makes the MBA in HR and Aviation at SVSU different from a conventional HR specialization?
Ans. MBA HR and Aviation at SVSU integrates standard human resource management topics with aviation industry-specific subjects such as airport human resources, crew scheduling, aviation labour law, and airline operations management. This dual focus is relevant if you are targeting HR roles within airlines, airport operators, MRO companies, or civil aviation regulatory bodies. A conventional MBA HR would not cover aviation-specific people management, making this specialization meaningful only if aviation is your intended sector. If your HR goal is in IT, banking, or manufacturing, the standard MBA HR or HRM specialization is the better fit.
Ques. Is the CUET PG score the only way to get MBA admission at SVSU, or are other exams accepted?
Ans. CUET PG is the primary accepted exam for MBA admission at SVSU Meerut as per the university’s 2026 admission process. Some private universities accept multiple exams including CAT, MAT, and CMAT alongside CUET PG, but SVSU’s current stated requirement is CUET PG. If you hold a CAT or MAT score and want to apply to SVSU, contact the admissions office directly to check whether these scores are accepted for the current cycle as policy can be updated before each session begins.
Ques. What companies have recruited SVSU MBA graduates in the past and what salary range can a fresher expect?
Ans. SVSU’s university-level placement report mentions 820-plus recruiting companies across all programmes. For MBA specifically, typical recruiters include regional FMCG companies, insurance firms, banking sector organizations, and logistics companies with western UP and NCR operations. Fresher salary expectations from a Meerut-based private MBA should realistically be in the INR 3 LPA to INR 5 LPA range for campus placements. Students who add skill certifications in areas like data analytics, digital marketing, or supply chain software alongside the MBA degree tend to command higher opening offers.
Ques. Can a working professional pursue a parallel distance or weekend MBA at SVSU while holding a job?
Ans. SVSU Meerut offers a separate Directorate of Distance Education that provides an MBA through distance mode at a significantly lower fee. This is a distinct offering from the regular full-time campus MBA. The distance MBA is suitable for working professionals and is UGC-approved. If you are currently employed and looking to upskill, the SVSU DDE MBA allows you to continue working while earning the degree. Campus attendance requirements differ sharply between the two modes so read the admission brochure for the specific mode before applying.
Ques. Does SVSU MBA have an active alumni network that helps with post-MBA job transitions?
Ans. As a university with 18 constituent colleges and several decades of operation, SVSU has an alumni base spread across various industries, though the formal alumni association for the MBA school is less structured than what you would find at premier B-schools with dedicated alumni chapters. Networking through the SVSU alumni base is most effective in western UP and NCR industries including healthcare, manufacturing, education, and retail. Relying solely on the alumni network for a job change is not advisable. Supplementing the degree with certifications and personal networking through LinkedIn and industry events is recommended for career transitions after an SVSU MBA.
