Their thinking pattern is broad and given a case study, they look at all angles from accounting to finance to laws while proposing the solution. The situation at TISS is also quite similar. Now one can say that the curriculum can be replicated and learned faculty can be sought to match the quality of the HR program at these institutes. YIF and IIM Ranchi are both very different yet equally good.

YIF is more like a social learning program that includes diverse topics such as Economics, Shakespeare, Art, and Group Dynamics. You develop a comprehensive understanding of the social problems around you. I have seen many friends forgoing the offers from top B Schools just for this program.

The programs offered at IIM Ranchi on the other hand will give you an insight into the corporate world. As you can see both options are extremely different in their essence. So choose wisely looking at the big picture.
