- 8000 is tution fees here and lots of scholarship like e grants and many other for students and lower caste people getting more scholarship...as a aid ... and it's nice policy mcm is a good scholarship
- The faculty to student ratio is appropriate they provide great support highly skilled faculties good quality mentoring good in interactions and helping in study they reach out to us for any help regarding the syllabus
- Life in gec us best best policy,best pics and best freedom here is best and nice we can think well and well established life here is peace peace fullued with peace no dugs no other misallenious activities in gec
Dislikes
- The ladies hostel in our college is the shittiest ever .
- There is no playground's in my college so we missed a lot of activities there.
- No of students interested in b.tech is getting lower and lower by year

- Govt. Model Engineering College is one of the oldest engineering colleges in kochi. The Biomedical department is the first department in this college. It is the first Engineering Institute to provide Btech in biomedical Engineering in kerala.
- The annual tech fest conducted by MEC, EXCEL, is the first tech fest conducted by an engineering Institute in south India. The arts and sports meet known as Layatharang and Chakravuyh respectively are very much effectively organized by the students.
- The faculty and staff are very nice and efficient. The labs are very good. The co-curricular activities are very good. There are many clubs like NSS, Bhoomitrasena, Tinkerhub, IEDC , TEDX, etc helping the students to elevate their skills and ability.
Dislikes
- Its location. It is almost located in the top of a small hill or something which is a remote place. Unlike other Institutes in kochi, public transport system are much far from this.
- The acamedic schedule is very much tight , giving sometime only 2 months for a semester. But this calendar is actually prepared by the university.
Placement Experience:
The training and placement cell are very much active in our college. For 3rd sem onwards they train the students to attend an interview, take part in group discussions, etc. During the 7th sem placements occur. The core companies come to the college for recruitment process.

- This college has a good infrastructure. The college has maintained very well. They have two canteens one is open canteen that gives us a nature beauty. The uniform that maintain by the students was perfect. The uniform gives identity to our college..
- As compared to other private colleges the hostel fee was affordable and the hostel food was good. Like they give a massive variety of food every day. The mess area was very large around 300 students can sit there. Hostel rooms are well cleaned.
- The tech fest conducted by the college was very good. 3 day tech fest called ITIHA held at our college. Many celebrities, rappers would come at our college. The ambience of the college was very calm .
Dislikes
- The way to our college was not well maintained. So people have the struggle to reach our college.
Placement Experience:
Our campus provides the best placement for students. They give training to students for an interview. Various famous companies are there like tata , Microsoft, apple etc. With very high package. Maximum student get placed at our college this year. All the branches get the best companies.

- It isn't like any other government colleges because the staffs will come to take the class at regular attendance

- Old lab equipment and not upto date bad drilling machine

The average package assured by Rajagiri school of engineering and technology Is 500000 but our seniors and even us are disappointed at the package because as you can see what are we able to do with that highest was something like 6500000

- Got a bunch of friends who would stand beside us in every things

- Doesnt have a good campus life but thats still okay becs its location is good
- Some female teachers are very rude which make us not going to classes
- There is a college ladies hostel that is very shit

Our college poffers good placements.
The minimum package is actually 8 lakhs per annum and the highest is 56 lakhs per annum .
There are also higher eduacation provided if at all anybody dint get placements they can go for this

- I like mainly the placement packages provided by the college. Top package is 33 LPA. Avg is 6LPA
- The faculties are so friendly and kind. They teach everything well.
- MEC has strong alumni support. It helps in placements.
Dislikes
- The campus is too small compared to other colleges.
- Fees is a little high compared to other govt colleges
- College infrastructure is very bad. The building is very old

The placement is the main advantage of this college. In CS, there is almost 100% placement. Also in EC placements are excellent. Top package is 33LPA and average package is 6LPA. Students choose this college mainly bcz of placement.

- College has a great deal of fine faculties. Academically a very good space for students as the campus is student friendly
- Placements is the main attraction of the college. Companies of dealing with various engineering aspects visit the college for academically and technically skilled students.
- This year the uniform also changed and that too looks good comparing to the other government engineering colleges ran in kerala
Dislikes
- The college has a poor infrastructure. Only got two main blocks functioning and the population in the college is pretty packed due to the same reason
- Lack of college events. There are only two main events commonly for the whole college namely a tech fest and arts and sports events are also conducted
- Library is not equipped with all the needed study material or the issue is that there is no sufficient quantity of the books that are available.
Placement Experience:
Placements are the main attraction of the college. Despite the poor infrastructure and lack of events compared to other colleges students opt the college for placements. The off campus placements are also pretty good.

- The teachers here are good, the provide good materials and interactive classes
- There is no ragging whatsoever aside from slight teasing from seniors, everyone is friendly
Dislikes
- The uniforms for girl students is bad, when in summer it's too hot to sit in class and they don't provide AC even though they have it
- There are multiple levels in a building but students aren't allowed to use lifts and have to climb 5-6 flight of stairs everyday to get to class
Placement Experience:
For third year all students receive campus placement training and this year even second years are being given small training. They teach us about resume building and provide opportunities for internships and entrepreneurships. There is many clubs for developing skills and those helps in resume building and everyone is encouraged to be in these clubs. Companies like WIPRO, IBM and UST global have come here for recruitment as far as I know. Almost all students get placed and the average package is about 5-8 LPA . I plan on doing work for a year and proceeding to furthered studies after that, probably in MBA

- For such a small college, there sure are a huge number of clubs and events that take place almost every week.
- Still in 1st year, the class timings and being in the classroom, sometimes reminds you of school.
- Placement records appear to be very impressive.
Dislikes
- The curriculum for 1st year students is still composed of subjects that are not fully relevant to one's course/major.
- Nothing seems to be done to make such non-tech background people feel welcome especially in the starting semesters.
Placement Experience:
Campus placements are very good. There is an excellent placement record at Model Engineering College. Companies like DE Shaw & Co, Ansys, IBM, Synopsis, hired students in the latest placement drive. Highest pay package was 52 CTC. The average pay package was 8.1 LPA. 141 students from CSE, 137 from ECE, 67 from EEE, 70 from EBE and ME got placement offers. 323 offers for male students, and 162 offers went to female students. Top companies such as Amazon, NVIDIA, Microsoft, Yahoo have come to be the best recruiters in previous placements drives.

The University's Main Campus covers 189 acres and is bordered on the north by the Adyar River and on the south by Raj Bhavan. The Madras Institute of Technology at Chrompet is the University's second campus, spanning 52 acres. Taramani, Chennai, has a third campus that spans 5 acres. These campuses have a variety of buildings that serve the University community's various needs.
ISRO has given Anna University the task of creating the "Microsatellite" known as ANUSAT.
It is the first university in India to have a satellite that will carry payloads for technological demonstrations. ANUSAT, which weighs about 35 kg and uses 40 W of power, will function as a store and forward communication station. There are ground stations at MIT, AU, and IIT Kharagpur. The total cost of the project is Rs. 5 crores, and a clean room is included. A facility for assembly is established at the MIT Aerospace department. The structure is built at the College of Engineering, Guindy, along with significant power and other electronic subsystems. Software for thermal, control, orbital, ground and payload systems is created by MIT and Anna University departments.
