You will get all the facilities here in IIM Jammu like other IIM have, with the best faculty teaching you, IIM culture, students from every part of the country, and everything. It is situated at the heart of Jammu city so connectivity won't be an issue for you. Once the infrastructure of the permanent campus complete you will completely see a different IIM. Either through CAP/SAP Although it's a baby IIM, it has the potential to be on par with the new IIM.

IIM is a brand and IIM-J has been considered as the best baby IIM amongst the other baby IIM's. IIM-J has a range of facilities that a student requires in his day to day life. The college has a mess facility, Gym facility and every other thing that an IIM must-have. Being at IIM-J is the best part of my life. First of all the faculty that is teaching us is at par. Every faculty has done PhD or Pdf either from IIT's or form reupdated institutes from abroad and the experience that the faculty bring with them is the best thing you expect from such a high-class faculty. IIM-J is mentored by IIM-L hence we get the exposure of the faculty that the IIM-L peeps get. Apart from the faculty, peer learning is also something which you get in the IIM's, especially in IIM-J. Since everyone present in the IIM-J has seen a huge competition and then after winning that competition they came here, so basically they posses a huge horizon of knowledge which helps everyone. No doubt IIMJ is the best.

Admission :

Many parameters are considered for admission like entrance exam score, personal interview, diversity, past education, etc.

Remarks :

Being one of the IIMs, it has a brand name attached to it and in few years it will become more prestigious. It has also completed 5 years now, so more placement opportunities will be available. Instead of a specific management domain, it allows students to select from a wide range of electives in the 2nd year, which is beneficial if one wants to major in multiple domains like marketing, finance, it, etc. Considering the placement scenario and the other IIMs of the same level, fees are on the higher side. Currently, the institute is working in the old campus. Their permanent campus is being constructed. There is a fixed process for admission every year. Students have to appear for the CAT examination which is conducted in November, once a year. Those who clear minimum marks criteria get selected for interview. Admission call depends on CAT marks, interview, and overall profile of the student.

IIM Jammu is one of the best colleges in India. It is the youngest of the IIMs established in 2016 but still, it has managed to be one of the best in its league. IIM Jammu is an upcoming IIM that has made its position in the top B-schools of the country. It has a good diversity in terms of gender and education as well. The popular program of IIM Jammu is PGPM which is a flagship program of the institute. The admission process of this program is through CAT scores and the interview process either through CAP or SAP. I took preferred this institute over others because of its good placement reports and reviews by the seniors.
