KNRUHS Admission FAQs 2026

Ques. Is KNRUHS counseling actually confusing, or do students exaggerate it?

Ans. Honestly, the counseling process can get pretty stressful, especially if you’re applying through a state quota or management quota. A lot of students complain about delayed schedules, sudden notification updates, and confusion regarding eligibility rules. Seniors usually suggest checking the portal multiple times a day during counseling season because deadlines and seat matrices sometimes come out very late. If you miss registration in Round 1, getting into later rounds becomes difficult in many cases.

Ques. How risky is it to participate in KNRUHS stray vacancy rounds?

Ans. You need to be very careful during stray rounds. Many students don’t realize that if you get allotted a seat and fail to join, KNRUHS can impose heavy penalties and even debar you from future counseling rounds. Seniors usually advise not to fill options casually “just to test luck.” Only choose colleges where you’re genuinely ready to join immediately.

Ques. Do Telangana students really get an advantage in KNRUHS counseling?

Ans. Yes, especially under the competent authority quota. Students from outside Telangana often get confused about local status rules because KNRUHS is strict about domicile and study criteria. Even some students who studied in Telangana for a few years faced confusion during verification. Most seniors recommend reading the local/non-local eligibility carefully before spending money on registration or document preparation.

Ques. What do students usually say about colleges under KNRUHS?

Ans. Most students say government colleges under KNRUHS are preferred mainly because of patient exposure and lower fees. Colleges like Gandhi Medical College are usually considered top choices because interns and seniors mention heavy clinical exposure from early years. At the same time, many students say private colleges vary a lot in terms of infrastructure, hostel quality, and patient flow, so seniors strongly recommend talking to current students before locking choices during web options.

I've got 341 marks in neet can I get mbbs seat in government college
S
Sweta Kumari
Mar 6, 2026 10:35

With 341 marks in the NEET exam, getting an MBBS seat in a government medical college is very difficult because the cutoff is much higher, often above 600 for the General category and around 500–550 for reserved categories. However, you may try private medical colleges, deemed universities, or counseling rounds for possible opportunities.

Admission to all the UG courses at KNRUHS except BPT and B.Sc (MLT) is based on NEET UG. The university accepts NEET PG for admission to PG courses such as MD/ MS/ MPH/ PG Diploma. Admission to MDS is done based on the NEET MDS score. KNRUHS offers admission to M.A.M.S/ M.H.M.S/ M.U.M.S on the basis of the score in AIAPGET. Admission to MPT and M.Sc is completely based on merit in Bachelor’s Degree. For courses like DM and M.Ch, the university offers admission through NEET-SS scores.
