Visa Process for International Students

The International students planning to study at the university must apply for a student visa to study in the USA once the application letter has been issued to them. The international students have to complete the financial statement form and get it signed by a parent or sponsor. The U.S. government asks the international students to show proof of funds to at least cover the first year of study. An official letter from a banking institution that shows the amount of funds needed for the first year must be submitted with this form. The official letter must be in English. To apply for an F-1 Visa, the international students must complete the following steps.

  • The international students will be issued form I-20 by the Montana State University and after that will apply for the F-1 Students visas to enter the US.
  • Applicants will need to provide the following documents to receive the Form I-20:

    • Bank statement.
    • Personal data information form
