The international students have to complete the financial statement form and get it signed by a parent or sponsor. The U.S. government asks the international students to show proof of funds to at least cover the first year of study. An official letter from a banking institution that shows the amount of funds needed for the first year must be submitted with this form. The official letter must be in English.
