Admission Deadlines

The institute offers a plethora of courses for international students and applications for them begin from September 1. The application deadline for Early Decision J.D applicants is December 1. There is no deadline for regular J.D admissions.

The school considers the applications when they are completed. First consideration is given to the applications submitted before March 1. Applications for LLM are also accepted on a rolling basis, however, the students are encouraged to apply by February 1.

All the international applicants who do not originally belong to the United States of America or any other English speaking nation or have not attained first law degree from an English speaking nation are required to prove their proficiency in English by submitting their TOEFL, IELTS or other scores. Visa Process for International Students

  • The selected applicants will be issued the I- 20 form from the Brooklyn Law School’s Office of International Students which shall be used to obtain a visa to study in the USA.
  • The applicants are required to submit the following documents in order to obtain the I- 20 form

  • After completing the I- 20, applicants have to pay the SEVIS I- 901 fee.

The Admissions Office continues to review applications as they become complete and until the class is full, or until the start of classes: May for the 2-Year J.D. Degree Program, or August for the 3- and 4-Year J.D. Degree Programs. Candidates should be aware that the rolling nature of our admissions process means that it is in their best interest to complete and submit all required application materials as soon as possible.
